It is surrounded by houses and Market. Sheikh Hasan bin Ahmad Al-Fatih built this house about 1800 AD. Three generations: Sheikh Hasan himself, his children and grand children lived in this house. It is considered to be one of the oldest houses in Muharraq. Later it was taken as a residence and a center of Government by Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa (1869-1932), who ruled Bahrain for 63 years. The house is divided into four parts: 1. The Family Quarters 2. The Sheikh’s Quarters 3. The Servants Quarters 4. The Guest’s Quarters.
