Let me rest when the moon descends

Feeling the other man’s skin on his made him want the other so much more. He never quite knew why he had this insane passion of the other but he did. The kisses of the other fueled his want that much more. He felt the other react as he kissed his firm body, he liked it.

He slammed against the door and rolled his body in movement with the other man’s. It felt good to feel him grind on him. He rolled his head back and let a soft moan out as the other man began to rub on him. He grabbed onto his hips and pulled him in tighter. Alex then pushed him off and onto the couch he kissed the other hard before demanding, “Take off your pants.”

Hector fell back onto the couch, hazel lustfilled eyes never leaving his best friend, and at the demand, he bit down on his bottom lip before doing as told and unbuttoning his jeans and sliding them off along with his shoes. Reaching forward before Alex could do anything else though, the brunette undid the others jeans as well, leaving it much easier to do anything and everything later. But for now he’d listen and wait to see what Alex was going to do.

The Star; || Hector and Alex

Alex didn’t really know what was going through his head at the moment, maybe it was the heat he was feeling from before mixed with his emotions for Hector. Hate fueled passion as he felt the other man pull him closer to him. As, he felt Hector’s hand reach inside of his shirt as they made out, he pulled off his shirt, a long with his best friends.

He began to kiss his neck softly, leaving a trail down to his pectorals and then his perfectly chiseled abs. He began to rub the outside of his crotch with his hand as he went back up to kiss him once more.

Easily letting their shirts be removed, Hector then let his hands roam freely, memorizing every inch of the perfect skin so close to him, until Alex trailed kisses from his neck all the way down his stomach. The brunette let his head fall back as a sigh of pleasure fell from his lips, but was pulled back as Alex came back up for another kiss, gladly letting himself fall into the pattern.

Turning their bodies, Hector then pushed Alex against the door, maybe a little harder than he had intended, but the pressure felt too good to resist as he rolled his hips forward and against his best friend. Both of his hands lifted to press against the door just on each side of Alex’s head, their bodies just as close as before.

The Star; || Hector and Alex

Alex was letting everything out on his best friend. He was incredibly pissed at the fact that he could even allow his personalities to get the best of him. He went on and on, until finally Hector pulled him close and kissed him. Enraged he pushed Hector, he looked a him for a second and then dove back into his arms and kissed him with hate.

He kissed him hard, sparing the gentleness of his touch and who he was as a person. He grabbed Hector’s head and began to run his fingers through his hair and then down his back.

Hector stared for a moment as Alex pushed him away, hazel locked on his best friend in silence before they were back at it only a moment later. He could tell the difference between this and the way they’d messed around randomly before...he could feel the anger fueled passion, and, well, to be completely honest it made it a hell of a lot more fun. But he’d never admit that aloud, especially not right now.

A lustful sigh fell from his lips against Alex’s as the other ran his hand through his hair, one of his hands immediately reaching to grab at the blondes hip and pull them impossibly close together. His other hand slid to the hem of his best friends shirt and slipped underneath it, fingers sliding smoothly across Alex’s stomach, trailing along the perfect abs and taut muscles, all while Hector smirked and pulled Alex’s bottom lip between his teeth.

“You can definitely say that again. Alcohol and fire never tend to mix together all that well. I can only hope people stay in control of themselves enough to avoid serious danger.”

“Mmm, you can hope for the best” Hector shrugged before glancing at the male, “but people are stupid when left to their own accord” he jested teasingly.

“As fun as this bonfire is, my ‘doctor’s eye’ is gonna tell me that the night won’t be over until someone’s got to go to hospital for burn injuries. I don’t wanna be a downer or anything, just saying….”

“I feel like that would be typical of any situation” Hector mused with a shrug, “but whomever decided the idea of combining fire and alcohol probably didn’t think it all the way through”.

He laughed and then shrugged it off. He could definitely feel the buzz coming back, he couldn’t handle his alcohol and he hated it but now he had a reason to celebrate. He nodded as the other spoke, he placed a hand on the back of his neck, “I’m so proud of you.” he said to the other and gave him a small kiss. He knew that it was difficult to even bring those things out, so he made sure that his boyfriend knew that he was proud of him for coming to that decision.

A soft laugh fell from Hectors lips as Alex settled a hand on the back of his neck, praised him, and then finished with a soft kiss, “thanks” he breathed in return before leaning against the other. “I had always left it in the back of my head...until what happened with you did, and it really settled in how dangerous it was” the doctor explained, his tone even and not trying to bring the mood down again, just actually voicing the problem for once.

“But enough of this shit...” Hector cleared his throat before finishing off his bottle, and reaching out for a new one, opening it and smiling toward his best friend...his boyfriend, “I think it’s about time we move forward, yeah?” he smirked before taking a chug from his drink.

Hayden had just been walking around, drinking beer. He usually hated beer but he found after three bottles of wine he didn’t hate the taste of beer. He walked up behind someone and saw how much he startled them. “Come on, I wasn’t that spooky,” he teased with a small nudge. “I saw you were standing alone and wanted to offer some company,” he told the man. “I’m Hayden,” he said holding his hand out. Sure, he was drunk, his head was fuzzy, his face was almost numb from smiling too much but he was trying to make friends.

“You are standing way too close to the fire, let’s sit down, it’s weirding me out,” Hayden said as he walked over to a bench and sat down with a sigh. “So what did you bring to burn?”

“No, you weren’t” Hector smiled, “I was just off somewhere else apparently” he answered with a shrug, “and completely unaware of everything around me, which probably isn’t the best idea to be honest.”. As the mayor introduced himself, the brunette took his hand with a smile, “Hector, and I appreciate the gesture. It’s very kind, thank you.”

As Hayden ushered them to sit on a bench, Hector didn’t object, realizing it was probably true, because all it took was one mistake and he would have gotten seriously hurt. Or someone would have. At the question, the doctor raised a brow curiously, “Oh, uh...j-just some notebooks and stuff from my childhood, what about you?”

Hunter had taken a few drinks nearby the fire but wasn’t feeling drunk just slightly dizzy, maybe he needed to stop drinking so much or something but either way he was having a great time, and now being ready to leave a part of his past behind he decided to take a walk nearby the beach until he was about to bump against another man, until he talked.

Hunter managed to get back to his senses when the other man started laughing and he couldn’t help but wonder if he was waiting for someone else. “Don’t worry, I almost didn’t see you so I guess we’re both distracted.”

“Apparently” Hector laughed quietly before lifting a hand to run through his hair and glance at the stranger, “at least you didn’t bump me into the fire, then I might have had a little more of a problem” he jested lightly. “I should probably have my wits about me a little more when in the presence of danger”.

He arched an eyebrow, “You saying I don’t look cute without them.” he teased him. “It is, something I need to do.” he said to Hector and reached for another drink. He popped open the beer and took a drink, “What did you bring?” he asked as he looked at his best friend.

“No, you’re always cute...even when you’re angry” Hector teased lightly with a smile as nudged his best friendly gently. Taking another sip of his drink, he watched Alex reach for another and just observed carefully, he knew the other had drank quite a few already but after what had happened he wouldn’t stop Alex until he thought it would be more harm than good. “Those notebooks, the brochures, the pictures...all of it” he mused with a shrug, “it’s about time I stop holding a grudge”.

Alex was taken aback when his best friend asked why he was burning his glasses. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, “These have been a safety blanket for me for so long Hector, I just need a change.” he said to the other as he looked down and then to the fire. “I mean yeah, I’ll miss them but I have contacts that I can wear.” he said to the other. It was a big change but, he was ready for it.

“...but you look so cute in them” Hector slipped through a soft whisper as he watched Alex look away and toward the fire, “I mean, I understand the notion behind it” he corrected gently, “if it’ll make you feel better, if it’s something you need to do, I get it.”

He laughed a bit, “Shut up, no you wouldn’t.” he nudged the other man playfully. He felt the other relax more in his body language and tone of voice, he liked it and followed suit. He didn’t want to think about bad things anymore, smooth sailing from now on.

As Hector adjusted his position on the seat, Alex followed and snuggled closer to the man. Looking at the fire, he could now feel the sensation of heat move from his side to his face. It was a nice change, when he heard the other speak he moved a bit and fixed the position of his glasses on his face. “These suckers,” he said as he tapped the frame of his glasses. He was gonna burn the shield that hid him away from the world, his safety blanket.

Grabbing the beer he’d set down before they’d begun their conversation, Hector took a sip as he felt Alex shift against him, and then waited for his answer. As his best friend tapped the frames of his glasses, the brunettes jaw dropped, “What?? No...” he breathed in disbelief as he turned slightly to face the other, “why would you do that?”. The glasses were one of his favourites, he loved the way they fit Alex’s face, how cute he looked with them on, and the subtle way he’d always push them up while he was looking over something in his lab. He’d stored picture after picture he’d slyly taken while the other was working on his phone, and now he was definitely glad he did.

Waiting for that answer seemed to take years before Hector actually spoke something. His heart stopped for a moment before he smiled, he had no words so he just kissed the man before him. His boyfriend now, it was all crazy but, he didn’t care he wanted it as much as Hector wanted it. Finally separated, “Good, because that would have been embarrassing if you said no.” he chuckled. “I think I would have just jumped into the fire.” he joked.

Everything that had happened before didn’t matter anymore, well not entirely. They still had to get through how to handle this new personality that had emerged from Hector when his parents had came to visit him. But, he wouldn’t have to do it alone anymore, he had Alex.

“I wouldn’t let you” Hector laughed quietly as he kept the space small between them, but enough that they could breathe comfortably and not feel trapped, “because if you jump I’m jumping”. The idea of Alex actually being his now was almost enough to make him dizzy, enough to make his head swim with so many positive emotions.

With the tension between them completely dissipated finally, the brunette lifted an arm to settle along Alex’s shoulders and pull him closer, as he turned jut gently to face the fire a little. His gaze watched the flickering flames for a moment before shifting back to his best friend and asking, “so what did you bring to burn?” he asked curiously, his tone infinitely more relaxed than it had been at the beginning of their conversation.

Standing in front of the fire, drink in hand per usual, Hector finally felt relaxed; a feeling he hadn’t properly experienced since he was a child. There had always been something lingering in the back of his head, something always popped up in times of silence to remind him that peace was an unachievable notion. But not now. Lifting the beer to his lips, the doctor took a sip, swallowed, then exhaled freely and just reveled in the silent popping of the logs in the fire, the dull murmur of conversation surrounding him, and the echoes of music playing in the background.

He hadn’t noticed the silent footsteps in the sand, not until the person was way too close at least, which earned a decent startle from the doctor. Not being absolutely aware of his surroundings was odd for the brunette, and being startled was even more so. Hector turned away, clenched his eyes shut and grit his teeth, “god damn it” he breathed before shaking his head and laughing sheepishly, “I didn’t hear you coming...

He felt as the other man wrapped his arms around him pulling him closer to his body. This felt right, nothing has felt more right in his life other than this moment. He knew that Hector had a lot going through his mind at the moment, but Alex would be there to serve as support or a shoulder to cry on when he needed it. He wasn’t gonna give up on him, he knew that he was strong enough to make it through this rough patch. Of course, more now that they were together? It was going to get some getting used to but, it did make him feel good to be able to say that.

As he pulled away for a moment, “That being said,” he began as he looked down at his lips and then into the man’s beautiful hazel eyes. “Would you Hector Magnus, do me the honor and be my boyfriend?” he asked in a low but still noticeable tone.

Catching his breath, Hectors eyes flitted for just a moment as Alex pulled away slightly, hazel watching for whatever he was going to do and then the question filled the small space between them. “Are...are you serious?” the brunette asked, slightly perplexed but with a hint of anticipation, and he repeated the question over and over in his mind, scrutinizing his best friends tone before realizing it wasn’t fake. A slow grin pulled at the corners of Hectors mouth before he leaned forward, letting their lips graze before answering, “I would love nothing more” and kissing him yet again.

It was unbelievable. Hector had never anticipated this happening despite all the time he’d spent thinking about it, hoping, but he wanted to let Alex live his life, and he had too much pride in their friendship. And to think that this all happened because Hector was the biggest asshole on the planet...he didn’t deserve a best friend as amazing as Alex, but he wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world. Catching a break never felt so good...

Alex let his shoulders down from how tense he was trying to figure out if Hector wanted to be with him or not. He didn’t want to take it slow but, what if Hector did. He shook his head, “Only thing is…” he said with his heart at his throat again. He looked away for a moment and then back at him for just a moment, “I don’t want to take it slow.” he said as he grabbed the side of his best friends head and kissed him with a passion.

He was done taking baby steps, he knew that he and Hector could make things work. He was so sure, that he even told him he didn’t want to take it slow, the old Alex probably would have taken the easy way out. But, this bonfire meant the rebirth of oneself and Alex had every intention on following his new path.

Hector stared in confusion for a moment, watching as Alex spoke and then looked away, wondering what exactly it was his best friend was trying to say...and then he did. Hazel eyes lit up, jaw slack before stammering “Wh-what do you-” and then being cut off by a passionate kiss. The brunette completely melted into it, yet again like jello in his best friends grasp and he felt at home as both of his hands lifted to settle on Alex, one on his hip the other on his side pulling them closer together.

The doctor had been extremely hesitant about this entire event, about the bullshit behind burning the old and starting the new, he’d never believed in it, but now...now he felt it wholeheartedly. With the notebooks, the brochures, the photographs; all of them gone, Hector felt like he had room in his heart for so much more, and right now he was filling it with Alex. With the pure sensation of feeling wanted in return, unlike anything he’d ever had before in life, he finally realized that maybe rising from the ashes wasn’t such a bad idea after all...
