today’s supernatural (main verse)
time has passed since he dipped his toes into crazy people town, but ren has come away somewhat sane. or at least, sane enough to realize what happened was not the norm, and shouldn’t really be discussed in public.
so, naturally, he will tell anyone who wants to listen what happened.
he even started a blog not long after, ‘elevator periods’, where people can post, reblog, and connect over their experiences with the supernatural. it actually does relatively well, considering the click-base is mostly younger people. it’s hard to tell what’s true and what’s not, but ren just like feeling as though he’s connected with other people about an experience that, quite truly, rocked him to his core.
he hates swimming, now. has frequent nightmares about drowning that he keeps to himself. he smokes weed just about every chance he can to help with overall anxiety, nerves, and to quiet that sensation of being watched that follows him around like a lost puppy. he dabbled in perscription anxiety medication for a little bit, but didn’t like how hallow it made him feel. he just sticks with the greenery.
he keeps in touch with alex, nona, and jonas even after moving to go to school, and visits them as often as he can. he’s friends with clarissa on face book but they don’t talk often. after some time apart, the long distance thing didn’t really work between him and nona (much to ren’s heartbreak. nona was one of the few people that knew everything that happened) and they decided to call it quits. they still remain very close friends, and talk frequently.
now 19, and still struggling with what the heck he wants to do with the rest of his life, he naturally drowns out those life-changing questions with cheap beer and college parties.
