took me like 20 minutes in the exam to figure out that if you want a satellite to always stay between the earth and the sun it would have to have the same angular velocity as the earth ....

#thats actually frying me im literally regressing. need to get more sleep before tomorrow....#that was 10% of that question tho idk if you were supposed to justify it or not i just wrote one sentence..#i really wasnt supposed to do the mechanics question i just did it bc it looked easy #but now i think maybe i shouldve done aqueous chemistry...#honestly the crazy thing is i couldve done any question they all looked decent #so used to them not giving a fuck that i forgot exams can also be fair and ask reasonable questions..

cant lie im really finding it difficult to want to prepare for this exam.....

#ughhhh like back to back exams is so crazy #need to at least learn my standard integrals and stuff

last exam tomorrow new olivia album the day after...... its all going to be ok.

exam was really easy.

#need to go to sleep asap it is bad. at least i pulled through the exam but it it was harder i couldnt have done it so tired rn #shouldnt need to revise too much for maths

#have like half an hour then i can sleep #ig when i wake up i can do a bit more biology and then some physics and chem #physics im just learning the basic equations #chemistry i'll have to go over molecular orbital theory :( i think i understand it mostly but i'd like to revise it

idk if its worth trying to nap before doing more biology....

#the only new thing ive learned so far is lac operon #i feel like central dogma stuff is basically common sense #need to do over respiration and photosynthesis again #just feeling so tired #keep waking up at 5am #like i was in the middle of a dream and my eyes opened so suddenly and i thought it was bc i had overslept but i looked and it was 5

exam actually alright and the paleo question was the best one.. there was a healing

#sedimentary question kind of a flop but i hope i made up for it in the second half #like i dont think i wrote anything wrong but it just wasnt the most detailed or well explained #first two sections were good questions thank godd #when i saw the attachment for the phase diagram on the table i knew it would all be ok #took me embarrassingly long to work out the ratio of the length of a silicon to an oxygen ionic radius in a tetrahedra #not even a chemistry question like literally gcse level geometry.. but got there in the end #paleo question was about how to get the ecology of an extinct organism and i actually knew the examples they wanted #i guess watching the lectures did help after all #chemistry biology and physics tomorrow. need to be on the biology grind rn #the good news is the questions are generally multi part and cover a lot of different topics #so even if i dont know one thing that well its not the end of the world #which is a relief bc i hate when questions have all their marks hinging on some niche topic #have a funny feeling my thermal physics prof is going to write an annoying question though he did say he'd make it easy.. idk #theoretically i should know enough about mechanics and fluid dynamics to do that question as well.. but idk #maybe if its harmonic motion bc thats just differential equations #chemistry there should be at least one decent question #and then after tomorrow its just maths.#going so quickly icl

#its one of those where you either know it or you dont....#hopefully i get lucky and one of the two questions each section is something i can do #but as for actual revision not much to be done #will look over my past paper questions for sedimentary and paleo #but for the first two sections its genuinely up to god 😭#ideal scenario is a question on the microscope/crystal symmetry and the next section on mantle melting #but knowing my luck its going to be awful which im prepared for

getting soo bored watching the paleo lectures

#crazy bc i was thinking about this and my degree is kind of made up of all the stuff i thought was really interesting in school #like i remember wishing i could study seismology more when we did it in gcse #or when people would talk about like finding ammonoid fossils at the beach i'd wish i knew more about that #and now im actually formally learning about this stuff and i want to kms out of boredom 😭#literally learning the craziest stuff ever with professors who are genuinely making insane scientific advances each day and i dgaf..#im actually such a dud like omg #one of my profs was literally in a paper trying to figure out where water on earth came from and im watching his lectures like 😐#seeming like you know a lot about these cool science subjects is so much more fun than actually knowing about them though #the average pop science video about any of my lecture courses is great until you genuinely have to use your brain and work stuff out :(#i wish i could go about my life feeling like i know a lot instead of being aware of how little i do actually understand. if that makes sens

and i cant in good conscience gag for ariana getting a little gay with her performances bc just looking at her makes me feel really upset now
