“Ah, sorry. I was not aware that there would be anyone on this beach, darling.” The mage was quick to apologize, pulling his shirt back on quickly, hiding gruesome scars from sight as quickly as possible. A smile was quick to be placed on gentle features.
“I usually do not randomly strip on beaches, I assure you.”
he could nearly smell the magic on him; it vaguely reminded him of dust and old books. claws dug into the rock that he was so quick to hide behind. the smile reassured him, but he remained still. magic was foreign and had to be feared.
“ you’re swim? ”
his face is bright red, but his smile broad. he cups kaleo's face with both of his hands and looks into his eyes. another kiss. " more, more. "

He goes to deepen their lip lock, hips shaking excitedly in the air like an overjoyed dog. The one thing he loves about his mer friend is how accepting and unafraid he is of physical affection. He could cuddle and kiss Beck as much as he wanted without fear of him running off.

“Calm down fish boy, just wanted to offer you some frozen fish. Just stocked up on some, and we haven’t salted any yet. It’s hard enough to chew on, and you fin creatures like the taste of your fellow fishy creatures right?”
a laugh bubbled from his throat at the sight of his sour expression; it had been a while since he had toyed with a pirate and gotten away with it. he had forgotten how fun it was.
for a moment, he was quiet as he discarded the thoroughly-chewed rind into the sand. “ for me? ” he asked. rarely were others willing to feed him, and it didn’t sound like he expected something in return. what a bargain! “ give, ” he said as he stretched out his hands. he half-expected the fish to be on his person.

☄ ┋❛ irises shift towards the laced basket, searching for items that the young man might need. he supposed it was time that to answer his buzzing thoughts. clearly, this young man was wasn’t from around here— or anywhere. eyes shift towards the extension of the other’s hand. was he from across the country? in america? or did he live on an island? surely no one can live live in just the ocean… right?
「 it’s, um. a blanket, so you can keep warm? —- do you want some food?」
hazel eyes that once bore into the lump of fabric flicked down to the tangle of salty green grass. he watched as his hands, his soft human hands, tore at the knotted blades. his tongue ran along the jagged tips of his teeth; right, he still had those.
“ fish. ”
nothing more was said as he crawled closer. no, his legs still felt weak. “ your name? ”

i require so much attention im worse than a tamagotchi

there was a human sitting by his tide pools. he wanted to play, he wanted to eat, and he wanted that human gone. he was careful to remain hidden, but he kept his eye on him. he would lounge about as soon as his privacy was returned.
he was more than surprised when his request was answered. the human stood up and walked away; he left whatever strange square he had brought with him. he pulled himself out of the water and dragged himself across the sand. ( he was still too wet to utilize his human legs. )
the canvas is stared at with an expression of utter confusion. however, he quickly found greater interest in the paint palette, and allowed his finger to touch one of the blobs of color. it was cold, and he decided it would feel best on his cheeks.

It takes everything in her power not to PUNCH whatever just shot out of the water. Aqua hues widen in shock as it looks almost like a person. ❝ What the hell- ❞ She shifts backwards in her boat and sets down her fishing rod and for the next few seconds she’s SPEECHLESS. It then registered that he had asked for her lure, although she didn’t know why. ❝ So are you like some FISH BOY here to scare off people who are trying to fish?❞
he felt rather bold today. webbed hands shot out of the water and claws sunk into the side of the boat as he pulled himself up. for a moment, he only stares at the contents of her boat. rope, bait, a cooler... nothing he wants.
he ignored the awful nickname as his gaze focused on her. “ give to me, ” he hisses again as he reached for the lure. too far. “ or i tip. ”
