"Mm, sure," Ronan said, rolling his eyes as he dropped his backpack onto the man's desk, "Whatever. I just needed help with some homework, you go ahead and drink because with the shit you assigned, you're gonna need it."
Lafayette went to pull his chair out and pulled up the garment on his chair. “Que dans le monde? Who’s pants are these?”
"My room-mate's," Ronan said, snapping his gum a little as he took back the jeans, "She stole one of my sweaters, so I took her pants -but obviously I can't wear them. I don't have the ass for skinny jeans."
“I feel like I’d be terrible afraid of anyone who holds trump as a name. Mainly because I don’t want to catch their— whatever it is they have to make them all orange.”
"I know there's a thing that can make your skin turn blue, I think it's from eating silver, but I know fuck all about turning orange," He said, shrugging before watching the thing run past again, "What if it's Martin Freeman's final form?"
“—Or you can leave here in a better state then when you came and not be labelled a fuck up like the rest of us. You were trying to stay clean earlier and now you’re condemning yourself?” He raised an eyebrow at Ronan. “Do yourself a favour, stay clean and get out of here, don’t give up so easily.”
Ronan chewed his bottom lip, suddenly regretting that he'd spoken at all; it was clear that the other students were really trying to better themselves, and just dismissing them all as fuck ups like that? He wouldn't blame Dio for just decking him right then and there. "Sorry, I just...I dunno, I guess I haven't really been in a situation like this before. I don't know how I'm supposed to adjust."
“What about the ozone layer and all of that shit? There wasn’t a sky, there was just space.” Alaska said pointedly. “So the egg just appeared one day and out came a chicken? I mean– how did the egg form then without two chickens getting it on?”
"We had an atmosphere long before there was solid ground -the oceans of primordial soup would've just evaporated without it," Ronan said, almost glad to have a chance to show eh wasn't just a junkie with a shitty past, "And eggs are exclusive to chickens, lizards existed first y'know? Birds are evolved from dinosaurs."
Dio clenched his jaw. “Those people are bunch of sickos.” He ran his free hand through his hair with a sigh. “Everyone’s done things they aren’t proud of love. Try not to let them get to you. They’re in the past for the reason, they don’t matter now or in the future.”
Ronan let out an almost bitter laugh as he said, "My past is the reason I'm here, y'know? It's always going to be relevant -even if someone has no idea exactly what I've done, they'll still see that I went to Plath and they'll know something's wrong with me." He knew this place was supposed to help, in theory; but really all it did was brand its students as fuckups for life. Ronan wouldn't have come here at all if there had been another choice...
“ — i’ll cut you a deal, thirty bucks. that’s what you’re here for, right?”
Ronan quirked up one eyebrow, before realizing that she was referring to drugs. "Nah, that's not why I'm here. I can get that shit myself -I still know a few suppliers in the area that I used to deal for....I actually just wanted to know your name," He said, rocking on his toes for a moment before continuing, "I'm new, and trying to get to know people."
“No it’s okay,”He told him not wanting to make the other feel bad he’s just never been a person that was good with touchiness. He thought maybe it was to do with his anxiety.
Ronan gave him a small, nervous smile, even taking a few steps back just so the other boy would feel more comfortable. "It's not, I mean you were just telling me about your anxiety I really shouldn't have assumed you were okay with touching," he said, cheeks heating up with embarrassment.

“Sweetheart would I be flirting with you if I was straight?” Dio asked amused as he slung an arm around Ronan’s shoulder. “I’m Bi, and I don’t think any less of you for not being a virgin. It’s like riding a bike. Some people have, some people haven’t but most people will eventually.”
Ronan shrugged, leaning into him slightly. "Some people think it's fun to fuck with the sad gay kid, call it fag hunting." It'd been the 'thing' at his last school. Poor Ronan had fallen for a couple straight boys in his day. "Its not not being a virgin that bothers me, it's the circumstances that do," he sighed.
“You’re right I take that back; you are beautiful.” Dio said flashing him a smile. “I’m not honestly. I don’t mind alcohol every once in a while or the occasional joint, but it’s honestly never been my thing. Plus I’m always concerned if I get shitfaced I’ll sleep with a stranger. I prefer being Mr Happy Virgin.”
"Aw, thanks. You're very pretty too," he said, grinning, "And I wish I could say the same; but this ass had been around." Ronan let out a little laugh after, but the way he looked away gave the impression it wasn't something he was proud of. Sleazy guys in seedy bars, after all. "So, Mr Happy Virgin, I hate to ask, but for the sake of my own heart, are you gay, bi, or straight?"
“New,” He said, following the other boy towards the school, “I’m Ronan -I don’t think I caught your name?”
“My name is Beckett.” The redhead replied. “Been here a few months. How long have you been here then?”
"A few days," Ronan said, chewing his lip, "Still not sure what I think of this place, honestly. What do you think?"
Dio laughed at that and ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah you’re telling me. I know exactly what you mean.” He wanted to ask why Roman was here, but he didn’t want to seem rude. Some people were sensitive about that and he didn’t want the conversation to end so quickly. He took a moment to admire the blush on Ronan’s cheeks before shrugging. “I didn’t just mean your appearance though. I mean don’t get me wrong, you’re actually kinda beautiful but you just seem so innocent in the way you act. Like the way you spent all that time avoiding every drug and drop of alcohol at the party.”
Ronan was caught for a moment, his eyes following Dio's movements with a strange intensity. But he quickly shook himself out of it and said, "Kinda beautiful? I'm hurt, offended even. I'm gorgeous!....and um, I mean I'm trying to stay clean, figured this is my chance to start over." To many people in his life saw him as that kid that was always fucked up; he came to class high, spent his free time drinking, and dealt to anyone with cash. He wanted to change. Or at least, he wanted to try to change. "What about you? You don't seem like you're too into it either."
Raven whistled lowly. “Seven? Damn. I would ask if you really did it but I’m not sure I want to know the answer. Did you at least grow up somewhere half decent?” She asked hopefully. If he’d grown up in a place as bad as her she wasn’t sure what she’d do.
Ronan shrugged, not sure if he had grown up somewhere decent. It hadn't been horrible, his parents hadn't been physically abusive or anything, but here he was anyway. A fucked up kid with nowhere else to take him in. "It wasn't horrible, I guess. What about you?"
Dio’s grin only widened at Ronan’s reaction. He slid his hand into Ronan’s but rather than shaking it he kissed the back of the blonde’s hand. “It’s a pleasure,” he said and tucked his hands back into his pockets. “Well welcome to hell. Hope you enjoy your stay.” He joked, nudging the other with his shoulder. “It’s strange. You look far too… innocent, to be one of us.”
Ronan let out a little laugh, his cheeks burning red now. Sure, people had flirted with him before -but it was always sleazy men in seedy bars, thinking he was another cheap fuck. He rubbed the back of his hand with his other one, skin tingling. "Thanks," he said, "Its how I got away with everything. People trust a pretty face, especially when you can cry on command."
