any time a customer comes in and says "it's quiet today, huh?" on a day that has been monumentously, painfully busy I want to start angrily monologuing at them like ashfur warrior cats
People are always writing fanfiction about how it’s abusive for tom to hit jerry with the big mallet and jerey has mallet PTSD and gets a restraining order out on tom and starts going to a domestic violence survivors support group. stuff like this. Sometimes I like it but sometimes it irks me.
If any protagonist should have been a villain who do you think it should have been? (Minus Hollyleaf and Skystar, those feel too easy)
none of them then lol like "should" implies i think them being villains would elevate the canon in some way, and there's really no character i think would work as a villain outside of it just being a for fun au context. hollyleaf and skystar are objectively the best choices for it, since they already occupy a ""villainous"" role in the narrative. most of the protagonists that do come closer serve as antagonists for other protagonists stories, which i find a better placement for them than straightforward villain.
now if you wanna know the SIDE character that should've been a villain because no thunderclan cat being on the df's side was such a cowardly and boring choice, thornclaw should've been a full on villain
I'm reading TBC for the first time and every time Rootspring says something about being weird, this is all I can hear in my head. hes the Jughead to me.
one of the best posts to ever come out of warrior cats tumblr is the one that said something to the effect of that if mapleshade had used the bridge it would have collapsed and had she taken the kits to twolegplace a dog would have mauled them because her mistake in transportation was never the point until people wanted to argue the entire thing was all her fault
for all thematic and symbolic purposes should have drowned in the hell water and yet didn’t club
I PUT THIS ADDITION ON THE WRONG POST. These two are not at all correlated just a glimpse into my twisted mind

like i know its a dead horse but its truly just atrocious how wc background characters work compared to other franchises with a similar character count and even earlier entries in the series. like i think about how po3 genuinely had a compelling secondary cast and i get mad about the future of wc forever. like fuuuck man i dont know who shellfur is i dont care.

also i find it really strange that they bring mapleshade back for the broken code but… never do anything with the flooding? the consistent fear the cats have of drowning in the water? i wouldn’t say she should be swapped with ashfur because i don’t really like the direction that led her here at all and i much prefer him as the big bad of the arc but i kind of feel like that’s just a connection screaming to me made. presumably drowning in it would have brought on vivid visions of her kits, too… something about only being able to get anything close to reuniting with them when the water drags her down. too

the classic trope of "what if you went to a town and it was weird" never fails
