How many species are we losing?
"Scientists were startled in 1980 by the discovery of a tremendous diversity of insects in tropical forests. In one study of just 19 trees in Panama, 80% of the 1,200 beetle species discovered were previously unknown to science... Surprisingly, scientists have a better understanding of how many stars there are in the galaxy than how many species there are on Earth." - Â World Resources Institute (WRI).
JENNY KENDLERÂ âExtinction Portraitsâ
âThis series of graphite drawings, shown at a solo show entitled Wunderkammer at Kasia Kay Art Projects, features portraits of human beings wearing masks of extinct animals. Each person is drawn from a portrait taken in the year each animal became extinct -- raising questions of identity, culpability & grief. How do we assimilate and deal with irreparable loss? How do we as human beings take on the identities of these lost animal species?
The 'museum-style' brass plaque below each portrait is inscribed with the animal's common name, its scientific name, and the year in which it became extinct.â

Artwork by Sanda Anderlon which is similar in style to the FWP series we did
http://www.sanderlon.com/#/collages/
Sanda Anderlon, uses collage and photography in a seamless multi media making practice to illustration the narrative of human interaction and space. In our research for our publication we are looking at all the worldâs futures in a very humanistic way and we are exploring this notion of human in the future in a didactic notion. Â These two collages from two different collections work well together in the juxtaposition of the notion of human and time travel.Â

EXPERIMENT: Customise your baby- designer babies of the future
Experiment: Find your perfect babyÂ
adapted from a find your perfect dog breed quiz
Rapid progress in genetics is making "designer babies" more likely and society needs to be prepared, leading scientists have told the BBC.
Research on ethics of designer babies:
âNew era It is the latest development of "Crispr technology" - which is a more precise way of editing DNA than anything that has come before. It was named one of the top breakthroughs in 2013, hailed as the start of a new era of genetics and is being used in a wide-range of experiments in thousands of laboratories. As well simply cutting the DNA to make mutations, as the Bath team have done, it is also possible to use the technology to insert new pieces of genetic code at the site of the cut. It has reopened questions about genetically modifying people. Prof Perry added: "On the human side, one has to be very cautious. "There are heritable diseases coded by mutations in DNA and some people could say, 'I don't want my children to have these mutations.'" This includes conditions such as cystic fibrosis and genes that increase the risk of cancer. "There's much speculation here, but it's not completely fanciful, this is not HG Wells, you can imagine people doing this soon [in animals]. "At that time the HFEA [the UK's fertility regulator] will need to be prepared because they're going to have to deal with this issue."

WEBSITE//Â
This website i have created is an online source made and accustomed to the future and is made in preparation for  any form of assylum. The free of charge boats are available from any where, much like todayâs âGo Getâ vehicles. However there are two ways of seeing this website and further, seeing my work. 1. Seeking asylum is a right- there for this website, with some more work and co-operation with boat hire companies, is creating an initiative to assist people who are seeking asylum and are needing some transportation and some assistance with visaâs.
2. Because of the these peoples limited education, the lack of simplified forms, also the format of the website ( requiring internet connections) touches on our governments way of approaching and confusing their right into our boarders. The website is an initiative however it is not finished. Much like the way that today the government is not finished addressing asylums. This initiative much like others are faulted, incomplete and hard reaching. I present this work for the future, in a binary language for the western world to unlock through apps on their smart phones. But the third world countries may very well be left in the present time and unable to read. I proivide a multi-media, complex, embedded work, for unravelling, much like a leaders speech pronounced onto the people who dont understand.Â
