Born into the Mourningdale line.
1823 (Age 14) – Alistair wed his first wife, a noblewoman of sixteen.
1824 (Age 15) – First child born: Sydney.
1826 (Age 17) – Second child born: Ellis.
1827 (Age 18) – Third child born: Ambrose. His wife died in childbirth delivering Ambrose.
By age 18, Alistair was already widowed, with three children.
Second Marriage (1830–1833)
1830 (Age 21) – Married Lady Clarimond, a widow of thirty-one.
1835 (Age 26) – Fourth child born: Rowan.
1840 (Age 31) – Fifth child born: Eve.
1842 (Age 33) – After a violent quarrel, Lady Clarimond vanished into the snowy night. She was never found.
Third Marriage – Mireille (1844–1849)
