In 1921, Michael Collins signed the treaty which divided southern and northern Ireland under British rule. The uprising of the IRA (Irish Republican Army) is what prompted the violence for the Irish to take back all of Ireland 🇮🇪. By the media, they were called terrorists and murderers. Trying to save your homeland can be taken in many ways. However, yes, there was collateral damage with innocent civilians getting hurt or dying. It's a part of war.
