“Good partnerships are hard to come by.”
@timeshiftassassin
“Says the girl who can jump through time and get any sort of partners she likes.”
"That just means I speak from experience, yeah?”
This girl was a tough one to compliment, it seems.
“Let’s get out of here before the guards arrive..”
“Yeah, that’s probably best.”
Much as she was hesitant to trust this armored, cyborg-looking guy, he seemed to know about the exit.
“Well? Lead the way, Robocop.”
Assassin's creed sentence starters
“Such pride…it will destroy you child.”
“ I don’t believe you “
“You flatter yourself.”
“ We work in the dark to serve the light. “
“Why did you do it? All of it?”
“Where would a pirate hide his treasure?”
““Blood is thicker than water, and I know (name)will be by my side”.
“What do you mean, they’re family?”
“ Good partnerships are hard to come by.”
“We stand together!”
“Let’s get out of here before the guards arrive..”
“‘Don’t allow personal feelings to compromise the mission.’ What a mistake.”
“A true master of stealth can blend into any environment.”
“For every mission, there is a right way and a wrong way. Barging thoughtlessly into combat is, more often than not, the latter.”
“Oh my god…what have i done?”
“Ah, another exciting night home for (name).”
“They’re dangerous objects,”
“Have you got a better plan?”
“Should my skills fail me, or ambition lead me astray do not seek retribution or revenge in my memory, but fight to continue the search for truth.”
“You would not believe the things I have seen, (name)”
“And what exactly will you be doing, might I ask?”
“Enjoy your studies. I’ll be out killing Templars.”
“I’m no criminal. I just do as I please.”
“Toss me my brass knuckles and point me to a good brawl.“
“What are you doing here?”
“ This decision is yours alone to make. Only do so quickly.”
“Because no one else will”
“Life is not a fairy tale and there are no happy endings”
“What`s true and what IS, aren’t always the same"
“Alright, what do you need me to do?”
“Free-run your way through this little obstacle course.”

“Oh, you’re not dating?” Chara asked as she hopped up to tag along. “So what’s he like then? Is he a cutie? Does he make you feel all wiggly and you can’t speak right? Or is it something more like… alien problems?”
Chara stopped, smirking. “Oh my gosh… he’s some freaky alien genotype and his stuff can’t interact with yours- you can’t do the do and that’s a deal breaker ainnit-”
“I swear to god, I will throw you out of the airlock, princess.”
The Assassin keeps walking, not even giving the other woman a look to properly dignify the comment about her and her royal friend. After moving down the stairs to the bottom of the ship, they enter the cargo hold, Val approaching a table and setting her drink down.
“I’m sure you recall our first lesson, back in the void?”
“No I don’t… not tech that gives me sass and gives me empty threats of violence.” Chara said bitterly before jolting bolt upright in the seat, realizing who she was talking to.
Well, at least she didn’t seem upset. “No promises, hoodie. …So I guess I’m gonna wind up meeting your boyfriend, then?” she asked, head tilted curiously as she smirked at the other woman. Chara didn’t even bother getting up, deciding to push her luck a little further.
“You two start making out in front of me I’m going to retch, ok?”
“We’re not dating.”
Val just sighs, rubbing her head and taking a swig of her drink. Lord knows she’d need the caffeine, given how today’s started.
“It’s gonna be a while before he gets here. C’mon, we can go over some basic stuff... nothing too extreme, though. We’re still on a ship.”
She tilts her head towards the door, then turns to walk, headed for the fairly-open cargo bay at the bottom of the ship.
Hide-and-Seek
Arzon followed Val through, hearing the voices. Weapons at the ready, when they turned the corner to see the cultists, Arzon muttered to himself, something that sounded like a pre-battle prayer, pinging his visor to link with his revolver. “…Heretics…” he growled softly.
That woman was likely long dead, if not, Arzon knew he’d have to put her out. But right now, the issue was the man before them. His vernacular was like that of a common thug, but that hasn’t meant anything before.
Strange… that sword was almost like his own… almost…
[Neural link established. Changing ammunition to Ocelot Type. Ricochet vectors displayed.]
Cocking back the hammer on his revolver, Arzon sent a shot flying into a wall across the room, sparks flying as the round bounced off almost every conceivable surface. Arzon took this time to ready a Lasbolt round before the now white hot round sailed at great speed for the adversary.
The first shot seems to simply curve in the air as it approaches its mark, missing him completely despite the ricochet attempt. As the second shot is fired, the cultist simply vanishes, appearing a good 10 feet to Arzon’s left.
“Ooh, too bad, looks like ya missed... ‘s what ya get for bringing a gun to a knife-fight, trench-coat.”
With that, the robed figure raises the sword, a bright glow surrounding it. Val notices what’s about to happen, rushing forward as quick as she can.
“ARZON, DOWN!”
She dives forward, tackling her ally behind the slab just as a bright gold beam streaks through the air, blasting a hole in the opposing wall. She presses her back against the slab, tense and ready to fight.
“That isn’t just a sword, spaceman... that’s a First Civ relic, and immensely powerful. Shoots lasers and lets him teleport. On top of that, I’m pretty sure he has a Shard of Eden. Long story short, it deflects bullets.”
Whoever the hell these guys were, they just rocketed to the top of her shit list. Not only do they have a Shard and Sword... but she’s about 95% certain that other person had a damned Clock. They had WAY too many relics, something here was very, very wrong.
“We’re gonna have to divide his attention. If I can get close, I can take him out.”
She scopes out the room as best as she can, trying to find the path with the most cover that puts her in range. Seems there’s a way up the wall, but... she’d have to make a few exposed dives to get there. A similar path lies before Arzon, going in the other direction.
“You two loverbirds gonna hide over there all day...? I’ve got places to be, people to kill... let’s hurry this up, yeah?”
Hide-and-Seek
Arzon knocks the hilt of his blade against a wall at the end of the cavern, generating the sound of metal on metal. “…Interesting…”
Twirling his knife in the palm of his hand, Arzon stabbed hard into the wall, sparks flying off and illuminating the otherwise dark cave. Drawing the knife down, the strange metal groaned. Peering into the new slat created, Arzon could see… only more metal.
“…Valen- Val, this wall over here is constructed of a metal identical to the metals used in the construction of my own ships- alongside the capital ship itself… this is interesting that it would be embedded in this rock, considering it is not a natural metal- one must construct it. A secret I’ve ensured is kept closely guarded… This wall is far too smooth to be a natural piece… it must be the hull of a ship…”
Unless… whatever planet they were on, who- or what- ever lived there created the metal itself… ‘it is possible, I suppose…’ Arzon thought.
Stranger and stranger... Val comes to a decision, sticking the Hummingbird into the slot in the wall. With a groan, the wall begins shifting, opening up to reveal a rather interesting site. It seems to be a hybrid of First Civ style construction and the construction of Arzon’s ships.
“What... the hell...?”
Val enters the cavern, looking around. Down a hall at the other end of the large chamber, a voice can be heard, just loud enough to make out the words.
“...and with this offering, we come one step closer to his light!”
~Alert! Severe temporal anomaly detected! Temporal shift nearby!~
Oooooh shit. Val takes off at a quick dash, rushing towards the sound of the voices. Whatever cult crap was going on, it needed to stop before they did some actual damage. She skids around the corner, coming into a shocking scene. A girl lies on a metal slab in the center of the room, cut open in a ritualistic manner. Standing around her are three people, all wearing robes and strange clock-faced masks. One of the three has a small, round device held in his hand, a glowing gold portal open before him. He turns as the pair approaches, then nods to one of his companions.
“Eliminate them. No one must find this place.”
With that, he and the third man step through the portal, escaping to another time. The remaining person raises a golden sword, an odd light coming from the blade. Val recoils at the sight, eyes widening a bit. Was that a damned Sword of Eden?!?
“Boss-man says ya gotta go... man, I was wantin’ to relax after this, too.”
Their voice was disguised, hiding any chance of identifying them for now.

Chara was utterly sick of this machine’s dry personality- or lack thereof. She’d take a pissed off Val over this… thing… any day of the week. At least then the responses would be people responses.
“Query? Oh I have a frickin’ query; how do I frickin’ delete you from this world so I can be rid… of your… sheer… mechanical… idiocy…?” Chara laid her head on the console, laughing softly through sheer frustration- the last line of defense before she actually loses it. A closed fist came down with relatively gentle force, striking the console with a dull thud before covering her head.
“You don’t use tech much, do you...?”
A familiar, tired voice sounds from the doorway as a still-waking Val enters, soda in hand. She looks over the situation and sighs, rubbing sleep from her eyes.
“AMI, send a distress call to Arzon and tell him we need a pickup.”
~Acknowledged. Distress call placed.~
Val nods, approaching Chara and looking down at her still-seated apprentice. She remains silent for a long moment, as if deciding what to say next. Should she be mad? The kid did clearly show she cared, and made sure she got sleep... but then again...
“Much as I appreciate you getting my stubborn ass to sleep... try not to take my home for a joyride in the future, yeah?”
She gives a light grimace. Arzon wasn’t gonna let her hear the end of this, she’s quite sure. Also...
“...you’re in my seat.”
“Hah! See I knew you-” No wait, that’s bad. “…No wait… you mean we-” They were still moving this whole time. Why were they still moving this whole time?
Chara growled, swatting the console hard with an open hand. “Eva, you idiot! You mean you didn’t stop the ship after I, an-” she takes up a mocking tone, raising and shaking both her hands to accentuate her disdain further. “-’unauthorized personnel’ launched us into deep space?!”
Well, This is great. She probably threw them far away from any fuel sources, and now she really WAS going to get killed by Val.
~Warning- further attempts to damage critical components will be met with force. This unit is unable to assume direct control of the ship’s navigation without the permission of an authorized user.~
Seems there’s a design flaw Val’s failed to take note of.
~Do you have any queries or commands? Extranet and database access is still available.~
At the very least, it seems they still have a connection to the rest of the universe.
.PSA; FAST
&&. So, I have noticed that some of my partners get anxious with me because I reply to them EXTREMELY fast in our threads. Which I have come to realice that the average roleplayer, needs MORE time to reply to multiple rps.
I’m a FAST roleplayer, I can reply fast to multiple threads.
BUT THAT DOSEN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO.
I want you to know, that I DO NOT CARE HOW LONG YOU TAKE.
Take your TIME, I’m not pressuring you, I love when you take your time, because like that you are putting it EFFORT to your reply, you actually LIKED it to keep going on your time. AND THAT’S WONDERFUL.
Please, don’t apologize for how long you take to answer, it’s completely OKAY, what I care is FOR YOU, not out thread.
I love you. Take your time.
Chara visibly twitched. Trying to abstain her fury on the machine, her desires for a proper conversation driving her to her own limits, Chara gritted her teeth.
“…no… The difference is, you can hide both in a junkyard, but the cops won’t come looking for you if you hide the refrigerator!” she promptly burst into laughter at her own terrible joke, her laughter dying down shortly after.
“G… get it, Eva? Because… because murder is a bad!”
~I do not have-~
The ship lurches hard, the stars outside the window coming to a sudden stop as the ship falls out of lightspeed. Most of the ships lights shut off, only emergency lighting keeping visibility up in the hallways.
~Alert. Fuel reserves are at critical levels. Moving ship to emergency power mode and shutting down all nonessential systems. Recommend immediate refueling.~

“So… no jokes… ok…” Grand. An artificial intellect and they didn’t even give it a sense of humor… or did they?
“Ok, Eva…” Chara began, a devilish smirk crossing her lips. “…what’s the difference between a dead man and a refrigerator?”
The cockpit is silent for a few seconds, the pulsing blue light filling the small space.
~There are many differences. Would you like a list?~
Seems the AI wasn’t going (or didn’t know how) to play along. Outside the window, white streaks zoom by in the empty black space, the ship still moving along the course Chara inadvertently set.
