Tom Holland For Prada, 2022
zane-nashton:
“I did say ‘sometimes’.” Zane gently joked. “It’s quite alright. I didn’t have any plans except quietly reading. At least doing this, I get to leave my flat for a little bit and spend time with a friend.” He gave Timmy a smile. “That sounds good.” There was a small laugh when he was told that the toys would go under his bed for easy access. “Well, easy access is a good idea.” He chuckled. “Definitely wouldn’t want to be in that mood and not be able to find those.”
“Well, thanks for coming. If I had to do this myself it’d probably take me lik a week to finish putting everything away.” He looked at the ever-decreasing pile of unpacked boxes, happy to see they’d gotten through most of them in just a few hours. Timmy rummaged around for the plastic tote he keeps his toys in, and started carefully placing them inside. From his hot pink beads, to his realistic dildos, and the one Bad Dragon one he’d been gifted by a friend, and various others in between, he fit them all into the container and then slid it under his bed. “Exactly. You get me.” Timmy said with a wink. “So, what book did I steal you away from?”
zane-nashton:
“I have good ideas sometimes.” Zane chuckled and looked at more of the boxes. “That’s really nice of them if they would help.” He looked up and smiled at the book. “Either of those would be great. I’m not really too picky about which one. Let’s go with whatever you’re feeling more.” He opened a box just slightly and saw sex toys inside, making him blush just a little. “I found your.. um. Fun box.” Zane chuckled a little bit.
“Do you? Cause it’s a Saturday night and you’re here helping me unpack boxes...that doesn’t seem like a good idea on your part. It works out great for me, though.” Timmy joked with the other. “Great, I’ll order us a pizza. Let me just finish this box first.” Timmy said, and started rummaging through yet another box of his collectables. He was quietly putting some Funko Pop figures on a shelf when Zane interrupted to tell Timmy he found the box that was full of sex toys. “Oh, thanks!” Timmy said as he reached over for the box and opened it up wide. “These’ll go in a special place under my bed. Y’know. For easy access.”
zane-nashton:
“I see. Donating them is always a good idea, maybe see what you wear less often and do it that way.” Zane brought over a couple more boxes for his friend to look through. “Perhaps your guys in the theatre could teach you how to handle the pressure. I also know a drama teacher that comes into the library often. I can see if he can give me some pointers to give to you.” He suggested. “Okay. We can do dinner. I can go for anything. Is there a specific thing that you’re feeling?”
“That’s a good idea. I can repurpose some of these boxes for donations.” Timmy lifted the boxes, trying to figure out what was in each one. He meant to label each one when he packed them, but time got away from him and he had to fill them all quickly. “I know a few guys from last year’s Halloween play who could help.” he shrugged. He opened a box that had his favorite books in it. “Oh, Score!” he said as he held up A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. “What about pizza or Chinese?”
I can't see this picture often enough!!!
zane-nashton:
“At least you know you’ll be all set with clothes.” Zane couldn’t help but to chuckle. He listened carefully to Timmy and nodded. “I’m sure you could find someone to help you with your stage fright. I bet you did well, though.” He paused a moment before looking up at Timmy again. “I want to. Anything I can do to help, just let me know. You’re very welcome.” He said as he slid another box over to his friend.
“Yeah, no shortage of clothes. Just space. This place is a lot smaller than my old apartment.” Timmy shrugged. “I guess I could donate some of them.” He resumed unpacking, going through another couple boxes as they talked. “Yeah, I know some guys in the theater. It’s just a lot of pressure.” Timmy smiled at Zane. He was lucky to have such a generous, kind-hearted friend. “Well, you can let me buy you dinner. Y’know, for helping. I’d cook but...” Timmy gestured to his very much unfurnished apartment. “...I’m pretty sure the cookware box is on the bottom of the pile.”

zane-nashton:
“Certainly, you’ve at least learned something. That’s important.” Zane offered, trying to help the younger man feel better. “I get that, though. It’s frustrating when you put your heart into something and get rejected over and over again. Have you, perhaps tried auditioning for something here in the city? Perhaps you could work in local theatre for a little bit. It may give you the resume boost you need. Or maybe your agent could find something for you?” He suggested, wanting to be of some assistance. “And of course, I can always keep an ear out for anyone who may want an actor for something while I do my work in the library.”
Timmy picked up one of the boxes and opened it. “More clothes...” He closed the box up and added it to the tack that had begun to accumulate. “...I’m starting to think I have too many clothes.” Timmy turned back to the pile of boxes and rifled through it aimlessly. “No, not lately. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty petrified when I step in front of a live audience. I barely made it through the Rocky Horror Picture Show we did for Halloween last year.” Timmy admitted. He knew it’d get easier with time, but the idea of screwing up live in the theater gave him chills. Timmy made a mental note to call his agent later and let him know his flight got in okay. “You don’t have to do that.” Timmy assured him, still going through the same box. He looked up at Zayn with a thankful grin on his face. “Thank you. And thanks for helping me carry my stuff up.”
Honestly? Timmy knew he should probably just get over it and make the move to LA and focus full-time on landing whatever parts he could to get his career back on track. But he honestly hated it there. Besides, all his friends, and even his agent, all lived in Chicago. So, after spending months in LA auditioning with very, very little success, Timmy was once again unpacking his things with the help of the other. “I’m just so sick of it. I mean I can handle rejection, but I’ve been working so hard these last few months and have nothing to show for it.”
