I don't really care if you put your current amount or a guesstimation of how much you have + how much you spent. This man streams an average of 10 hours a day - how many of us watch the whole time or at least have his stream open?

i’m genuinely so disappointed in people on twitter and reddit trying to find ways to downplay and justify his actions

seeing all those people defend him is making me feel so much worse like i poured all my energy into this man for 2 years i don’t want to give up on him either but he did a bad thing that none of us should be supporting

i haven't been on either of those for my own little bit of sanity that i have left but I've seen what people on the dash have said about the situation on twt and reddit and its a little baffling. like he ADMITTED it was real what are they even trying to debunk and justify. I've always thought it was a little scary how he would right a little essay and we would all believe him but at the time i would be like no he's a good person he's better now its fine. but i think this is just not the kind of situation where you can try to find excuses for him. and idk if its bc the people on twitter are a little younger or have less experience on the internet but it's a little scary that they're okay with excusing the weird power dynamic he created by speaking to fans like that one on one i just wish i could explain to all the kids why this is bad and why they shouldn't find excuses for this man

can i just say im really proud of everyone here for the way the situation has been handled, it might seem like the bare minimum to stop supporting someone when you find out they're a creep but it's so so difficult to actually do it because you've put real love into them for so long but everyone has been so brave and strong, for a lack of better words, and im just really proud to have been here with you all through all the highs and even the lows

if you’re confused right now i’ll just ask you to consider: if this story had broken about any other content creator. not even in the mcyt sphere if this had come out about someone you didn’t even KNOW. would you feel the same sense of obligation to defend a man with a platform of millions engaging in flirtatious conversation (at best) and grooming (at worst) with a younger female fan. i’m not telling you how to feel but this puts it in the most objective context and i’m sorry but even if down the line some parts of amanda’s story are disproven there is no taking back how disgusting this entire situation is. content creators must maintain some semblance of boundaries with their fans, and dream failed to do that. period.
