Hi Tina, do you have advice for selling designer goods on Ebay? I'm worried about being scammed by illegitimate buyers and read that they can request their money back through PayPal if they say they've been scammed by a seller!
eBay can be a little annoying, especially with all the fees! I'd say Depop is a little more reliable.
If you're in Sydney though, I'd recommend this consignment store that I use. They do all the work for you and even though their fee is about 20% of the total sale cost, you do ZERO work and they handle all the customer queries, postage fees, etc. Plus, with them being a consignment store, they already have a loyal following so it's a higher chance to sell your items a lot faster!
I use designer_haven_ on IG and they're based in the CBD
What do you work as?
I was in luxury retail for the longest time but I now work in an office :)
Which watches are you eyeing / thinking of purchasing this year?
I still want the Cartier Panthere, which I never ended up buying as I'm trying to be a responsible adult and not splurge anymore!! :(
Do you still work at Chanel?
Nope, not for many years!
Do you ever go out to eat by yourself? I swear you dine out so often!!! How much do you think you roughly spend on food per week? I’M SO JEALOUS it makes me want to move to Sydney hahaha x
This is definitely an old question because I hardly eat out anymore! When I was single I ate out heappppps. Probably between 3-5 times per week! Most of them were dates so I actually didn't pay haha but probably 1-2 times per fortnight would be a meal with friends where we'd pay for ourselves and it would be anywhere between $80-$250 each, just really depends where.
Sydney food is divine!! I also do love the food in Melbourne but nothing beats Sydney food for me
I haven' t been fine dining by myself but I do go to a late lunch by myself, usually after I finish work. I do want to go to an omakase by myself though!
What are your fave flowers? TIA x
Ranunculus are my favvvvee
Miss your tumblr & ig posts!
Hehe thank you! I hardly post these days and I've also changed my IG to private after over a decade of using it! Will try to answer more Tumblr questions though as I've still got so many piled up!
Hi Tina! How do you justify making big clothing items such as your Zimmerman Aliane dress?
I have to absolutely love it with no hesitations. Basically I'd put it on and think YES I have to have this, regardless of the price or the fact that it's not a wardrobe staple. I also make sure to wear it asap after purchasing. If I have nowhere to go, I'll find somewhere to go so I can wear it! That way, it won't sit in my closet and be forgotten about. I find the sooner I wear something, the more likely I'll wear it again. That Zimmermann dress in particular, I've worn probably about 6 times, so I definitely got my moneys worth!
What are some purchases that you’ve ‘regretted’ 😝 they don’t even have to be proper regrets, but items that you thought in hindsight ‘probs could’ve done without that!’ Haha
Sooooo many things! A lot I purchased during those prime insta days and looking back, I feel like I bought some things for the sake of posting about it. Wasted way too much money!! Some regrets off the top of my head:
-Givenchy antigona bag
-Chloe susanna boots
-Isabel Marant jaeryn sandals
-Celine trio bag
-Celine luggage bag
-Celine trapeze bag
Hi Tina! Do you use AHA/Retinol on your skin? What are the benefits of using them?
Yes I do! They're perfect for anti-aging so I definitely need it and would recommend using it as a preventative. Don't start too early though. I started using anti-aging products at 23 y/o from memory. I think anywhere in your early 20's would be an ideal time to start. You also want to ease into using it as well. So I'd start with applying once a week, then twice the following week and so on until you're comfortable using it everyday and your skin is used to the ingredients
Are you still using your film camera? How is it and which one do you have pls? Any recommendations for film cameras for beginners? Thanks Tina!
I hardly use a film camera these days - I always forget to bring it out with me. I had a Contax TVS but ended up selling it because I hardly used it. I still have a super old Kodak and Ricoh film camera that were my parents but I prefer to use the Fujifilm disposable ones
Hi Tina :) Hope you are well! Which two styles of glasses did you get from OW? and do you recommend them?
I got the styles 'Alya' and 'Drew' during my last visit to Oscar Wylee and I've been loving them! I wear the style 'Alya' the most :) This question just reminded me that I'm due for a visit at the optometrist!
Aphrodisiacs
You answering questions on here literally makes my day! Please do it more often!
Awwwww this is sweet! Thanks! I try to get through some when I remember 😊
