The tiny house movement may not be so tiny anymore!Ā 84 Lumber just launched a new line of tiny houses starting at just $7k! At the present, only one model is available, but an additional three designs will be open to the public soon. Designing tiny houses and making them available at such a low price point is going to open the door to possibilities for thousands of potential tiny-homers.

The Roving, available now, is a 154 sq. ft. tiny home with a 2 ft. front porch, beautiful cedar lap siding, andĀ a lofted space for a queen size bed. The model home, available for tours in eighty four, PA, has a rustic country feel with gorgeous modern touches.

The house is available in three stages of build, allowing home buyerās with any budget to own a tiny home. The completely DIY base model starts at $7k and comes with a custom trailer and subfloor to build your tiny home on, a full materials list, and architectural blueprints to build your home completely on your own. If you have the skills to build it yourself, this is by far the most cost efficient way to get your own custom build. The āSemi-DIYā upgrade is available for just under $20k and includes a custom trailer and subfloor, a complete tiny home shell (including windows, doors, and a shower), a materials list, and architectural blueprints to finish the tiny home on your own budget. If you want a move-in ready model, youāre looking at a completely furnished tiny home built on a custom trailer, a composting toilet, Energy Star certified appliances, and LED lighting all for under $50k!
In the tiny house market these prices are more than competitive. Many tiny house builds of similar size can range fromĀ $60k to $80k for base models, which puts 84 Lumberās new line near the bottom of the pricing scale. While the only model currently offered for purchase is āThe Rovingā, three additional models will be available for sale later this year, bringing the 84 Tiny Houses lineup to four completely customizable, unique tiny homes.
