My beloved OC! <3<3<3
Rediscovered an OC-centric Star Wars AU fic set after the Sequel Trilogy that I forgot about after getting distracted and now I feel like I should continue it.
However, my OCs have developed since then, which means I'd have to rework the 30 pages I've already written and redo the plot outline because I'd like to change some things.
Which would be a lot of work. But it would have my First Order OCs working for the Chiss...
Ah, what to do...
👀👀👀👀 🤲
I'd love to share it and get an opinion on the whole idea, and so would be honoured if I could show it to you. 🥰 I have two 6.5 hrs train journeys ahead of me this weekend, so my plan is to work through my notes and hopefully part of what I've already written. ✍️🧐
I hope I'll have something to share soon!

Ignoring the fact that the whole betrayal doesn't make any sense, assuming that Hux had had enough and decided to bring the Order down, he'd done it in a way that made sure he'd survive.
I love him, but he's absolutely a selfish man that wouldn't have sacrificed himself for it. In fact, I'd go as far as to say he would never have sacrificed himself for the Order either.
Hux wanted the Order to win, but with him at the top. Sure, he believes in its cause, but imo he wouldn't sacrifice himself for it because he wouldn't benefit from it. Sacrificing others is of course an entirely different story.
That is to say, Hux wouldn't have made some noble sacrifice. The TROS novelisation shows very well that he's a nasty piece of work right until his final breath where his last thoughts are still full of malice and hatred.
And I love him for that. <3
The biggest challenge when writing a First Order OC is to find a way to show their actual personality while taking into account their indoctrination/brainwashing and the extreme discipline that is expected from them.
It's fun to figure out but also quite a challenge.
Every time I think I'm over Hux, my OC and the First Order, I suddenly get hit by intense nostalgia for them.
Aaah, I really want to commission my OC again. Maybe for my birthday in summer.
It's still baffling to me that we basically know nothing about the First Order. Sure, we have some backstory about how they came to be and what happened during the ST (you barely learn anything about them in the bad comics they're in), but that's it. They're just the generic enemy faction, wheras we know so much about the Empire, its inner workings and its people.
Which is sad, but I guess in this day and age you can't really give more depth to the bad guys otherwise you're being accused of condoning their actions.
Suits me right though because I can make up my own stuff and shove my OCs in all kinds of roles. :3
I want to get back into writing, I'd even have ideas, but I don't know how. I don't even get to the stage of staring at an empty white page because I know I won't get anywhere anyway.
I hate it. How do I get my drive back? QQ
I'm thinking about completely revamping this account, but then again, maybe I should just drop it completely. It's not like I've been around much at all recently anyway...
I actually think Hux would show a very unhealthy behaviour in a relationship.
Given all his issues and general behaviour, I can see him becoming very overbearing if not outright possessive.
Fearing to lose the person he finally allowed in his heart, he would be exceedingly anxious about losing them. It could show itself as jealous - him hating to see his lover getting along well with others - or as the obsessive need to dictate how this person should act to avoid getting caught.
He’d make both himself and his lover miserable with desperate compulsion to micromanage the other, straining the relationship extremely.
However, how's he supposed to know how a healthy relationship works when all he's ever known is abuse and very strict hierarchies where the one with the higher rank gets to tell those below him what to do. Having grown up in this system, he's never had real freedom and thus can't give it to his lover either.
It's all very sad if you think about it, and I feel for the person getting involved with him.
Armitage Hux/Iliad Kahlas (OC) | fluff | no warnings | 1020 words
When Hux returned to his bedroom, he found the other man asleep in his bed. He frowned and closed the distance in quick strides, an instinctive urge to snap Kahlas’s name to wake him seizing him before he reined it in.
It's silly, but I'm so in love with my Hux/OC ship. They mean so much to me. <3
More Armitage Hux/Iliad Kahlas (OC) | fluff | no warnings | 816 words
Hux is standing with some of the other members of the Supreme Council, all of them old Imperials who still think the Order is theirs when it's the young officers with their strict, unforgiving training who keep the whole thing going. They're blathering endlessly while not letting him get a word in, as if "little bastard Armitage" was still just a cadet sent by his father to take note.
He hates them and their self-important, self-adulating talk, and would rather be in his office where work is piling up on his desk, but if he doesn't suffer these chats, he won't know what the others are planning. So he stands there, posture straight, shoulders back and hands clasped behind his back, feigning interest.
Hux spots him then - Iliad Kahlas, coming down the corridor. It's the end of his shift and he's making his way to the habitat deck or maybe the mess. Walking with others from Hux’s crew, they're chating animatedly, the stoic professionalism from the bridge giving way to amused laughter.
Envy fills him as he watches Kahlas playfully slap another officers shoulder. They're so casual, so close. It's a show of genuine camaraderie, these men and women have grown up with each other.
Hux, on the other hand, can never be seen with him like that. Their interactions are defined by the different rungs in the hierarchy they both inhabit. General and major - what else can they talk about than their duty if they don't want to risk raising suspicion. A casual conversation on the way to the turbolift, a meal at the mess together, impossible. Gossip would immediately spread, if not rumours, then at least talk about him playing favourites. Too much is at risk to let his emotions win over his rationality.
The group passes, greeting their superiors loudly. Hux simply nods curtly, but his eyes are on Kahlas. He has drilled the other to be just as careful as he is, one of many conditions he set before agreeing to their arrangement. As such Kahlas’s eyes didn't linger when their gazes briefly meet, but that brief, fleeting moment is still enough to make Hux lose track of the conversation he's struggling to be part of.
He forces his attention back to Engell's tedious prattling, not allowing himself another glance as Kahlas disappears around the corner. Instead, he makes another suggestion that goes ignored, then grits his teeth, silently seething, when the conversation shifts to the drinks the old Imperials plan on having later. Without him, of course. A deliverate slight, he doesn't miss Pryde's sardonic smirk, but at least that means they don't expect him to serve them.
Hux is despondent by the time he trudges to the turbolift to take him up to the deck his office is located on. The intentional slights rankled, fresh salt in old wounds that just wouldn't heal. He's chewing the inside of his lips, fidgeting with his fingers behind his back, his mind full of scenarios in which he has those krifing bastards on their knees begging him for mercy. A mercy that he would never give.
Lost in his fantasies of revenge, Hux nearly walked past the figure tucked into the corridor’s nook without noticing. "General!" a voice tears him from his thoughts, making him jump.
He whirls around, hand flying to his blaster. He's ready to fight for his life or just snap at whoever dared to startle him like that, but as recognition dawned, his anger immediately vanished.
"Apologies, sir!" Kahlas says hurriedly, ducking his head apologetically.
"What are you doing here?" Hux asks, his voice low as he scans the corridor for anyone who might see them. Only when he’s sure they’re alone does he relax incrementally.
"I thought I'd wait for you," Kahlas replies. He's becoming bold, a bit too much for Hux’s taste, but at the same time, he can't complain. If not for Kahlas’s initiative, they'd see each other even less.
"Come then," Hux invites him, already setting off again, eager to get somewhere private. "I still have work to do, but I'm sure I can spare you a few minutes."
It will be more than that though, he knows. Somehow Kahlas knows just how to make him forget about his many responsibilities, at least for a while. In the quiet moments that they share all his worries seem so far away.
By the time he taps the code into the panel to unlock his office door, a giddy anticipation has already taken hold of him.
"Make yourself comfortable, I'll make us some tea," he says after the door has slid shut behind them and they're alone.
However, he doesn't get far. Shooting him a mischievous smile, Kahlas grabs and pulls him close so that he can kiss him.
Outrageous, Hux thinks, still stunned by the sheer audacity, and gives himself over to the sensation.
Hit with the sudden urge to pick BG3 back up.
I'm almost done with Act 2 of my Gale Origin run, but I'm sure I'd have no idea how to play the classes anymore.
Poor Hux. Poor, poor Hux.
He doesn't deserve that treatment.
I still think that Hux just wouldn't care much about intimacy of any kind. I see him as too singlemindedly focused on steering the Order and climbing to the top to let himself get distracted by anything. If you look at all the things he's responsible for, then add his secret scheming, it's a miracle he gets any sleep at all.
That, and I doubt he'd trust anyone enough to put himself in such a vulnerable position. Even in the role of sadistic dom (a view I vehemently disagree with as I see it as super ooc) or assuming he kills his all partners after the deed is done (info of which would spread quickly, resulting in no one left to volunteer), if you let someone that close you're making yourself vulnerable. Especially since he's not the strongest either.
So yeah, I'm not seeing Hux sleep around at all.
I can't decide if Hux is a virgin or if he's a massive slut.
I'm forever team virgin.
This is 100% canon for me and no one could ever convince me otherwise:
