Never forget the simple things. God I missed cooking myself breakfast. It was so nice to bust out the waffle maker again for me and mom. Oh yes happy mothers day!

Never quite understood the fear of the Vast and all that. Like I understood what the Vast was and how the fear worked but it wasn't one I couldn't relate to. Granted I guess I don't get to say that anymore. So storytime, really short story anyway.
So I'm driving through New Mexico on my way back to California and I hit this point in the road where I see clouds miles and miles away. It dawns on me till this point there are no clouds above me. So as someone who has always lived and a city I decided to pull over and take a moment to 'smell the roses.'
I got out of the car and leaned against my drive and looked up. The Vertigo I got was insane. Just the pure blue noting, no planes, noting floating or flying by, no clouds, no tall trees or buildings, nothing. Just an image of blue, and it was surreal. Don't think I'd ever seen the sky like that before.
I can't say if this is because of the Magus Archives or if I would have been unnerved anyway. When the vertigo started, I was awestruck and felt a small bit of fear. The sounds of the freeway disappeared and I couldn't look away. It got so quiet it was almost deafening.
There was something about the open blue sky. Something mesmerizing, and all I could hear was "welcome to sky blue". I became aware of this feeling of dread. Just this dread that there was something there, something in that empty blue noting. I could have stood there and stared well into the night. I'm sure the stars would have been amazing.
Thankfully I almost fell and remembered I had to be back at the house in Cali. So I got back in the car and drove. I think on my way back to the new place I'll stop again. This time to get a picture of that vast empty nothingness, and maybe wait for the stars this time.
Being in a new city can make you want to get back into Pokemon Go. It's been over a year since I last turned it on and there were so many new and updated things.
Granted my pride and joy Shining Star was still here. I forgot I had caught this beautiful baby. Named for the shiny Dratini my dad gave me years ago which he, for reason I'll never be able to know, named Shining Star.
I do wish Star had a better CP. Granted I don't ever plan on evolving him so I guess it doesn't matter all too much.
It was fun and I think I'll get back into the game for a while. I did forget the level of battery killer PokemonGo was thought. Just so much, and I thougth Obey Me! was bad.
Heres to new beginnings, new friends, new roads, and hopefully a wonderful new dnd table! Cheers and I hope to DM someone soon.
Oh the picture of my new temporary backyard. I hope to take some picture with my gundam models out here and maybe even my dogs!
