Amazon’s New ‘Made in Italy Store’ Brings 285 Million Customers to the Workshops of Italian Artisans thanks to the Marketplace.
Amazon.it and Amazon.co.uk launch their first-ever Marketplace Made in Italy Store, dedicated to showcasing the excellence of Italian craftsmanship to Amazon customers around the world. Amazon’s Italy-based sellers have earned over €133 million from exports alone in the past year and the number of Italy-based sellers exporting across borders has increased 90%.
Luxembourg & Florence, October 5th, 2015—Amazon.it and Amazon.co.uk today launched a new Marketplace store dedicated to showcasing the excellence of handicrafts made in Italy. With the launch of the new ‘Made in Italy’ store, Tuscan artisans and artisans from across Italy are able to open the doors of their workshops and make their products available to Amazon’s 285 million customers worldwide.
The Made in Italy store already features over 5,000 unique handmade products by hundreds of artisans. Customers are provided with unique details about each product, such as photos and descriptions of the techniques and workshops where products were manufactured, and soon some items, can have products customized. Customers can discover and purchase those unique products in English on amazon.co.uk or in Italian on amazon.it, and soon many of the products will also be available on the amazon.com site.
