What is it?

A discord server designed for a quick, fun, and consistent High School AU for characters of varying runs of the Teen Titans comic verse. This is not a powerless au, your character will still have their abilities, albeit some may be nerfed or modified to work for…well…high school. We focus on comic verse, and currently do not have characterizations for the television shows.

You will be sharing this experience with other students just as talented and unique as you. Here, you will find everything you need to ensure your stay is as comfortable and fruitful as possible.

You’ll find some characters already sorted into general years, to avoid the over-saturation of one grade. We thought up a starter list of some classic favorites, and some lesser-known but beloved characters from the comics.

If you have a specific character request for one not seen above, feel free to ask for it privately and the moderators will discuss and work something out. At the time, we are not open to original characters. We will be in the future, but we would like to kick start with canon characters first. One character per person, for the time being.

It was an answer that Slade very much didn’t like. But, true to his word, there was no retaliation. No weapons, no threatening words. Just a concerned father. “A month? With no contact at all? I don’t know about you, but that isn’t how Joseph normally acts. Hell, he talks to me despite his mother all but begging him to have nothing to do with me.”

He took a step forward, furrowing his brow. “And you’re sure he hasn’t been around at all?”

“You and I both know I could never stop him from trying to keep that line of communication open.” Even if she wanted him to, Joseph would never give up. “As hard as that may be, yes. It’s really been that long.”

Raven held tight to her facade and internalized her personal stress as much as possible. ‘It’s been that long, and I’ve been driving myself crazy looking for him.’

“I was hoping he would have tried contacting you.”

“I don’t like this. You’ve got a stronger connection to him than anyone else, and you don’t know where he is at all. You can’t even sense his emotional energy?” This was very out of character for Joseph, and Slade for that matter. He was restless, worried. Very much not his usual controlled self.

“Then it sounds like you and I might have to take a little trip.”

It All Comes Out In the Wash

The situation had taken her by surprise and she fumbled to get her pistols out. Running behind a stash of crates, Spade was picking out men left and right. It wasn’t long before she was throwing things and getting aggressive. Gunfire started to erupt. Staying behind a crate, her heart started to pound. There were too many people, she had never had to deal with so many like this. Rushing her, her minimal hand to hand came in for good use.

A splash of blood spattered against the crate that Spade hid behind. Slade moved with such speed and precision that his movements were nearly imperceptible. A flying back kick sent another nameless goon flying into a stack of pallets, crushing him under their weight. From the momentum of that move, he followed with a punch to another one that sent the man on the receiving end through a concrete pillar, shattering it instantly.

“Alright, this is getting ridiculous. Save yourselves the trouble and bring your boss here. Otherwise I’ll just have to kill you all.”

At Joseph’s request he’d kept his distance, but now the mercenary found himself wanting to know where his son had been or what he had been up to. And who better to let him know this than Raven, his son’s significant other.

“You know why I’m contacting you. No fighting, no traps. Believe it or not, this is a social call.”

Dark eyes flicked up and down the man’s form. From what she felt, he was truthful. But Slade always knew how to trick that little quirk of hers. Her own frustration was starting to get to her though. “You and me both. I haven’t seen him in just over a month.”

Even saying that, raven immediately felt regret wash over her. She shouldn’t have said that. If only because she could feel an immediate shift in the Slade’s mind, however slight it might be. An instinctive backstep wouldn’t save her, but it at least made her feel better.

She scoffed. “I grew up here! This is my city!” came a half chuckle. “It’s not that bad!” Spade paused. “Alright it’s a shithole. And no, not everyone has a warehouse. They’re just convenient. A lot of the one’s near here are just abandoned factory. But, if you ever want to get out of the area, we can always fly somewhere. I’ve got connections. Leave the car outside.” Hopping out of the car, she opened the door and flipped the lights on.

Illuminating what seemed to be an endless amount of hench folk, none of them were hers. Spade turned white.

A dark smile crept across Slade’s face. It was hidden by the mask, but it was obvious what Slade was thinking. “I needed a good warm up, and I think this’ll do just fine.” He cracked his neck and leapt forward, grabbing one man by the throat while sweeping the legs of another. He finished his move by throwing the man he’d thrown at three other people, using his free hand to draw his sword.

“Cover me, Spade.”

She stared for a moment at him, and then blinked. “That’s really smart actually, I wish I thought of that. Alors, I do believe we’re ready then, hm?” Folding the map up, she tucked it into her duffle bag along with a few other things. “You may be able to remember all of that, but I sure as shit won’t. I’ll need time to go over it. Anyway, I’m assuming you drove here, so you’ll drive there.” Spade smirked a bit. “Gone on missions with anyone else, or are you typically flying solo?” She started to head for the door.

Walking out to the car, he tossed their gear into the trunk with a thud. “I don’t work well with others usually. Kinda funny, considering I used to lead an entire platoon of soldiers for a long time.” The car was understated, but still flashy enough to fit into Gotham City. “Besides, I’m not a big fan of splitting the check with someone I’d consider competition.”

“Oh? I’m competition now?” she chuckled sliding into the passenger seat. Clicking the seat belt, Spade had to smile. “I understand though, I don’t like too many people around, I can only deal with so many people at a time. Too many and my trigger finger starts to get a little too happy.” Wiggling her finger she brushed her hair back behind an ear. “We’re gonna want to head towards the Narrows on the river. I’ve got a warehouse nearby if we want to hang there before staking it out.”
