I feel a bit late to the party.
That’s fine though. I’ll try and keep this short because I’m embarrassed, honestly.
I found TJLC explained a few months ago. It was after the episode on The Great Game. I was hooked.
To get personal for a moment, I have nightmares. Godawful nightmares. Flashes too, sometimes. Sort of left overs from events in my life that weren’t so great. I have sleeping pills but they don’t always help. So, my options are sit in the dark and contemplate the ceiling as I feel claustrophobia weighing in or I listen and watch things.
So, I found your series. I’d run out of game playthroughs to watch and I’d listened to all of my audiobooks until I had memorized the contents, so it was nice. You were relaxing to listen to and as a queer person Johnlock has been very important to me since I was a kid and my gay literature professor dad read me the stories so I didn’t feel so weird about having two dads. (Other media included Full House and The Lion King.)
It was really important to me. I’m glad. You made me feel less crazy for seeing all this. I also fell asleep thinking about happy memories and positive thoughts of my own future and, really, John and Sherlock like how I imagined them. LGBT+ people on amazing adventures.
Thank you so much for helping so many people you don’t even know in more ways than you can imagine.
Also, for what it’s worth, my 50+ year old gay dad has seen your analysis and says that it’s sound. He’s a really respected college professor where I live.
