This blog is dedicated to keeping track of various bits of Tokyo Debunker lore information. Posts will only include canon information as stated in voice lines, affinity chats, campus talks, story, etc. This blog is not spoiler free.
While posts will be made as often as possible, and old posts will be updated with information as it happens, please be advised that this blog is run by one person who is trying his best. Requests for Posts are open, so if you would like a specific type of information collected (i.e. Darkwick Rules, Case-related Anomalies, locations in Jabberwock, etc) please send those to the inbox, and I will post it as soon as I am able to.
In order to prevent flooding the main tags, posts will be tagged with #(thing) information. For example, a biography of Jin Kamurai will be posted as '#jin kamurai information'. The main tag, #tkdbe will also be added alongside #tokyo debunker encyclopedia.
NOTE: Posts about the honour student / MC will be tagged with #main character information AND #tokutaisei information. Posts about all of the ghouls collectively will be tagged with #main cast information
While most posts will be original, other informational posts will be reblogged. These include other masterposts to voice lines, translations of interviews, etc.
Asks, admin posts, and other non-informational posts will be tagged with #eset explains for ease of blocking.

My current assumption on anomaly IDs are as follows:
Each anomaly ID contains three distinct parts. The classification number (A-xxxx-x), the Case, and the Type.
The classification number also has three parts:
The A, which is just Anomaly
The time in which the Institute discovered them in comparison to every other anomaly (For example, on this list, 'Local God - Animal' is the 27th anomaly in the Institute's database overall, and the 27th they ever made a file on. Similarly, the Oblivion Dealer is the 7044th, etc.)
The number of anomalies discovered by the local branch at the time of the report (Darkwick has 62 Local God - Animals on file, and 1 Oblivion Dealer, etc)
The case is simply 'What were they investigating when they found this anomaly?' or 'What was the original investigation for?' or something along those lines.
Pulling a few examples of this:
The Father Farm investigation was about why the employees were all suddenly quitting, and later an investigation on why the wishes were granted. The original intent, employees quitting, was caused by the Cat. When they ascertained the cat wasn't working alone, they investigated the other suspicion.
Therefore, despite the anomalies being in the same area and episode and working together, the Cat is listed as Father Farm Cat, and the God is listed as Sheepdog.
This also applies to the Kyklos and Flower Witch. The original Kyklos investigation was related to Kisaragi Station, hence why hers is listed under that, while the Flower Witch was her own, separate investigation.
Origin is therefore an anomaly whose investigation was directly related to that particular anomaly. I... honestly can't explain Genesis, but I believe it might be that the investigation was related to its creation...? Shrugs.
And finally, the type is self explanatory. What kind of anomaly is it?
Rondo der gezeichneten Seelen - C - Captured | A-6505-1 - Origin (Type: The Town Musicians of Bremen)
Additionally, revised the explanation on Anomaly IDs and my theory about them. Due to its length, I won't list it all here, but the summary is:
Each anomaly ID contains three distinct parts. The classification number (A-xxxx-x), the Case, and the Type.
The classification number: A, which is just Anomaly, the middle number, which is the time in which the Institute discovered them in comparison to every other anomaly, and the final number, which is how many of them were discovered by the local branch at the time of the report
The case: 'What were they investigating when they found this anomaly?' or 'What was the original investigation for?' or something along those lines.
The type: What kind of anomaly is it?
NOTES: Anomaly ID list continues to be the most updated.... Also, I hope the new explanation makes sense! Part of it is supported by the fact that JP case reports list the case as. Case. If you could believe it. Anyway, happy season 2!
Hello! Another month goes by and another update that pushes my ratio of Updates to Posts way out of whack. First of all, sorry about that! I know how the progress always seems like no progress, but please believe me when I say I am truly doing the most I can... Which is what these updates are for! So!
New Tag: #tkdbe update : For these posts. It will be tagged eset explains and tkdbe update. This is so people who don't want updates but might like other info can filter the update tag, and so I can keep better track of them. Thumbs up.
Progress from Last Month's Update:
Input 80+ affinity chats. I have currently added 93/105 to my document, and I am preparing to account for the 20 new ones we may be getting soon.
Finished notes up to Chapter 19 of Episode 23, with plans to finish Episode 23 today (if possible)
Additionally, finished Season 2 Episode 1 notes entirely
Added all but 4 campus chats, and prepared to account for the 20 new ones we may be getting soon.
Restructured the document to account for the endless amount of pages and tabs and so on
Updated my internal doc timeline to account for notes up to Episode 22. Footnotes are not written yet, though
So, what is my plan for February? Honestly... probably not much. I have a ton going on so the likelihood of getting a huge swath of work done is Very Very Slim. It could still happen, but please do not count on it. My priority is still getting caught up with my notes before anything else.
Finally, I've found myself at a bit of a crossroad regarding information on this blog. It is heavily due to Season 2, and because of that I will put it under the cut! This blog will still remain a spoiler zone, but it just feels right to put this under a cut www
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Alright... so.... well. I don't actually know what to do in terms of Season 2's information yet. The reason I don't know what to do is very simple and very annoying.
I don't know if Season 2's world is the same as Season 1's world.
Which means I don't know if I should separate Season 2's information from Season 1's.
The very obvious elephant in the room is Dionysia. In Season 1, they didn't exist. In Season 2, they do! Which is both the best possible thing to ever happen to me personally but also the worst, because.... now what? They aren't defunct in Season 2, but they certainly were in Season 1. If they're different timelines and different worlds, information can't necessarily be shared and trusted between them. If it's the SAME world and there's something else going on (like memory erasure or so on), I don't want to separate all the information and then have to collect it all together and confuse myself and others.
Now, regardless of whether they're the same world or separate worlds, some things will remain the same. Anomaly IDs, for example, probably don't need separation, and if they DO end up differing for some reason, that's an incredibly easy thing to do. Honorifics also don't seem to differ based on the ones we've seen, so I am comfortable treating those as the Same.
New characters throw. A Wrench Into Some Things though.
Basically, the question I get to ask myself until we know more about Season 2's circumstances is, Do I separate the information based on season?
Practically, separating them will mean that anything learned in Season 2 will be treated as distinct from Season 1. My posts on Shion and Mio will be renamed to Shion Genkai - Season One and Mio Susuhara - Season Two or something along those lines, and they will remain 'side characters'. The pinned post will split Season One and Season Two into their own categories for ease of navigation, and Season 2 will have them as main characters. Etc, etc, etc.
Honestly, I was thinking of making a poll, but I truly believe it is easier and better if I just go ahead and separate them anyway. If they do end up being the exact same world it'll Suck For Me, but it will be overall less confusing as a means of delivering the information to others.
I think the only exceptions for this, as in the only posts I will keep both Season 1 and Season 2 information on, are ones I consider 'general' posts. The character lists (Classmates, Birthdays, etc), affinity chats, honorifics, anomaly information, and so on. Things I think are unlikely to be radically different between timelines. The other exception I am thinking of making is the Timeline... maybe.
I will be making a poll for this one, because I truly can't decide what is better. Should I split the two timelines up? Should I keep them together until it differs too much? Should I just never split them, ever? I currently lead towards the middle, where I keep them together until it differs too much to do so anymore. But I'm not actually sure!!
I probably won't make the poll until Episode 2 has dropped, because I presume we'll get a lot more information then, and it's useless to be like 'Aha! I'll do this!' and then have that all exploded in my face. Season 2's drop has been incredibly exciting to me in particular, but it also means a lot of my planned posts (Defunct Dorms, namely) are significantly more complicated than beforehand. Oh well... that's what I get for being slow (็ฌ)
Anyway, if you read this far, thank you for the support shown in the face of so little actual posts... I promise I'm doing my best to get the information down in an accessible way. If you have any suggestions or questions or comments, please feel free to leave me an ask or message me. Both are fine!
Eat a snack! Get some water! Stretch! You deserve it! See you next month (probably!)
Every few months I make a post that basically says 'I'm not dead!' and this is. Exactly that.
No exciting updates! I finished my semester so I'm able to dedicate more time to this blog and my notes. This means I've been getting through the notes I'm behind on, yay!
I'll be going through my old posts soon and updating them, I hope, but that specific thing warranted a new update to me because I'm changing how I go about it.
Previously, whenever I updated a post I would just. Update it quietly. I have a 'Last Updated' part for a reason! But I realised that if you reblog a post and it gets edited, your reblog does not change, which is nice for most reasons and not so nice for me specifically. So!
Updates to posts will be reblogged with a 'changelog' from now on. This will be tagged as #tkdbe changelog.
What this means is that when I update a post, I'll mention the changes I made in a reblog, so that people can be aware of what has changed, when, and why.
As an example for this, I've put two examples of what a changelog would look like for my Shion Genkai post and my Anomaly ID list post under the cut. This is also an important reminder that I do make mistakes. I am grateful to everyone who has informed me of a mistake on a post, and I encourage everyone to continue doing that! I try to ensure my information is correct, but things slip through the cracks, unfortunately. If you've ever sent an ask about something and its been ignored or forgotten, send it again!
Thank you for reading this update! I sincerely apologise for how little I've done lately. I am still working on things in the background though, I swear! It's unfortunate that I always seem to have the time to do things when a new episode is about to drop though.... Such is life!
If you're reading this far, go drink some water! Or juice, or another liquid of your choice. Stretch a little, stand up and take a short walk around the room. Give your eyes a break from the screen. And congrats on making it to the end of the year! I'm proud of you!

Shion Genkai Post Example
DATE: November 18th, 2025
CHANGES: Fixed kanji for Shion's name, which was discovered to be incorrect in both my notes and this post.
็ๆตท ใทใชใณ changed to ๅนปๆตท ใทใชใณ
NOTES: I'm not sure how this happened, and I'm deeply sorry for the mistake and for keeping it up so long without catching it. I'll do better at double checking things before I post in the future! My notes have also been updated to have the correct kanji. I reconfirmed Mio's kanji as correct, so that should be all good (unless I've made Another mistake).

Anomaly ID List Example
DATE: December 20th, 2025
CHANGES: Switched the positions of 'The Executioner' and 'Takamine' on the post to retain ascending order. It should now read:
Death Sentence - B - Destroyed | A-37-608 - The Executioner (Type: Ghost Possession)
Black Magic Gig - B - Destroyed | A-533-844 - Takamine (Type: Malevolent Spirit)
Fixed incorrect anomaly ID for the Rinfone, which was incorrect in my notes and my post as well.
A-3817-1 changed to A-3912-1
NOTES: I genuinely don't know how THIS happened either. Shion's kanji was read the same (both are Genkai, just... a different 'Gen'. Typing Genkai will lead to both, which is probably how I put the wrong one in both places), but I just straight up got this one wrong somehow. I confirmed it was not a retroactive change like the Hundun: the episode has, to my current knowledge, always read A-3912-1 for the Rinfone. I am so sorry. I will be going back through at the end of this next episode and rechecking every anomaly ID I have listed to ensure the rest are accurate.
Been a while! Hello! Back with another general update! This one is kinda lengthy due to pictures and stuff, so it's under the read-more!
TL;DR: Defunct Dorms informational posts are delayed until after Ep 22's release in preparation for the lore we will most certainly get irt the three of them
Other outdated posts will be updated post-Episode 22 as well
Current progress on internal docs has been adding affinity stories, voice lines, chapter breaks, and more to the docs to draft posts more easily and ensure accuracy in my sourcing
There's a peek behind the scenes of my main document and how I go about this blog and my notes in general, if you're ever curious about any of that!
As always, if there's something you'd like me to cover Sooner rather than Later, please send an ask! I'll be updating my pinned to better reflect my current post priorities too, and limiting it to my top 3 posts in progress.
The doc is. Big. It's beefy. So I have it organised in some respect.
The master-doc is split into multiple tabs in Google Docs, because none of my devices appreciates opening a google doc larger than 120 or so pages. Which means that, yes, those that are broken up into two different ones (Game Notes + Voice Lines) are well over 120 pages. Oops.
The notes themselves are broken up by episode with each getting a heading to easily jump to. There's a table of contents too, so if I can't access this tab (like on my phone), I can still jump to it!
They're also broken up by chapters, as seen here in my Ep 22 skeleton, and the other picture with my Ep 12 Ch 9 + 10 notes. They are. Very unprofessional, which is why this isn't a public document and is rather an internal reference.
This allows me to easily source information and re-check to make sure I wrote it down correctly. Super handy! Unfortunately, I didn't do this at first. Which means a lot of my progress has been.... doing that.
As you can see here, these don't all occur in Chapter 22. I'm slowly going through and both revising notes, deleting incorrect ones, and adding chapter breaks to everything. These notes that I'm revising are actually over a year old now (insane)!!
That takes up. Honestly the bulk of my time. Finding the info is fairly easy as is finding the chapter, but reensuring everything is correct and hasn't changed is harder than you'd think. Small lines get changed, which I need to stay aware of!
Other parts of this include affinity chats! I. Transcribe these by hand. I've been very fortunate to get a ton that I didn't already have (shoutout to my friends I love my friends) so I've been working on getting those added in. Some of them are harder than others (Edward Hart I'm Looking At You) so I haven't really been going in Order, just. Whichever would be less draining on my energy.
Voice-lines are self explanatory and are made doable solely by Danieyells's incredible work. I keep them in this doc to reference easier when post-drafting, so I don't have to have too many tabs open during the process.
There's still a lot of things I need to add or move around in this document, but if you ever wonder how I know something or why I know something, this is why! This is my TKDB Brain. And, if you're curious, the document currently sits at 134,665 words at the time of writing this post. Game Notes will be split into a third tab following episode 22's release (as I still have EP 19 - 21 to do notes on, and I already need to shift more of GN1's notes onto GN2, and GN2 is 118 pages. Yikes), so it'll only grow larger. Oops!
Anyway, the last thing I want to show is Some of my drafting process! Especially for this blog.
Generally, if I have an idea for a post that I consider Standardised (think Character Info or Dorm Info), I make a Template for it. This allows me to easily fill in the info for any character or piece of info that I may want to include in the post itself. It also allows me to delete whatever doesn't apply, or add special case uses.
I generally start by getting the information that I know off the top of my head down, and then going through my notes and adding more. When I'm initially writing the posts, if I don't know the exact source I either skip past it (seen here) or I jot down where I might be able to find it (especially voice lines and affinity chats).
Once I have all the information down, I go through and source all the information, not only so those reading posts can double check and ensure I haven't just made shit up, but so I can also go do that later down the line if there's contradiction or conflict. Similarly, it helps to see the general flow of a given thing. How early on was it mentioned? How recently? Etc!
As a side note, I generally try to make my citations be in ascending order (i.e. You wont see a jump from 1 to 48 at the Start of a post, hopefully) but this is. Increasingly more annoying as I edit posts, so I think we'll all have to get used to a post being like. Here's info (1) here's next info (472). Sorry in advance. It bothers me too.
Anyway, after I have everything written and the post more or less ready to submit to the blog, I have a very patient and kind friend who reads over them for me and gives feedback on them. If he gives the all clear, I post! Otherwise, I revise a little bit and then post.
A lot of this process is a labour of love for me. I don't have as much time or energy as I would like to dedicate to this project, so I apologise for how slow it is! I try to get things updated that are quick and easy (anomaly ID page is almost always up to date) but longer more involved revisions have a lot of steps behind the scenes that make it difficult.
I truly appreciate everyone who has helped me out so far on this journey, and I hope to get a lot of things going following Ep 22's release! I'm hoping to get my internal doc fully up to date by the end of the year (including Affinity Chats I have access to in some capacity), while also getting more posts out. Thank you all for your endless patience, and for reading all of this if you did!
I'd like to end this with another shoutout to Danie (who supplies a TON of helpful TKDB things) and my favourite grain of sand (who supplied so many affinity chats, proofreads my posts, and generally puts up w my bullshit irt tkdb and this blog in particular). And to everyone else who Also puts up w my insanity.
There's a ton of others in this fandom that do great work too, both artists and theorycrafters.
Okok I'm finished yapping now I promise. Thank you again for reading!!
On top of my head is when he first meet mc in the prologue maybe chapter 11 or 12?
And also I just realised he actually mostly use ใใ and only switch to kanji one when he tries to look cool
Thank you for your hard work!
You're right on both accounts! I temporarily removed ไฟบ because I know he uses it but can't find it at the moment, but will check my notes after class for it. I put ใใ and ใใฟ in too! I. Really dropped the ball on Kaito I am so sorry. I'll go through the rest and ensure that they're accurate also!
just wanted to add that kaito also use ใใฟ when talking to girls!
Thank you for the list
Oh!! I apologise, I didn't see this! Do you happen to have the chapter he uses it in? I assume it's from the text conversation Tohma reads in Episode 1, so I'll check there first...
May I please ask for the information about the defunct dorms to be before Jinโs bio? Specifically Dionysia and Clementia?
Of course! I planned on prioritising that anyhow. I'll likely split up the posts into 3 instead of one like originally planned now that we have a lot of info on Dionysia and some more on Clementia than we did when I originally started.
[1] Episode 16 Chapter 6 has Watashi and Boku, while Chapter 9 has Ore. I do not know why he uses three pronouns. Thumbs up. I've asked before and the answers I've gotten are 'Sometimes they change in different contexts' and 'Sometimes they're a system'. Generally, in my opinion, neither of these quite match either Elias nor Taiga, all things considered, but I would have to go deep dive the context.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[2] Episode 1, Chapter 50 has Tohma use Omae with Jin, though he usually uses Anata with people. Episode 2, Chapter 20 also has Tohma using Ore for himself (and Omae for Alan).
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[3] Mostly uses Omae, but switches to Temee on occasion when aggressive. He switches fairly frequently, but a notable example is Episode 2, Chapter 17, where he uses Temee for Leo and Sho.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[4] Towa uses Omae with Ed in Episode 10, Chapter 30, but whether or not he uses it for everyone is unknown to me at the moment. I also had ไฟบ written down, but since I couldn't find the place he used it, I haven't included it yet, and will edit it when I find it.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[5] Episode 4, Chapter 4 has Taiga using Oira. All other pronouns can be found most easily in his affinity chats! No I don't know why he uses so many. It's haunting me. I have my theories, but I do not feel they are supported by enough evidence to mention them, even in my footnotes.
Also, much like Towa, I had ใใใ written down, but since I couldn't find it, I removed it and will add it back if/when I find it being used.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[6] Subaru mostly uses the first version of Kimi, but in an affinity chat with Zenji, he uses the katakana form!
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[7] Rui almost always uses someone's name rather than using Kimi. I scoured. So many things. Just to look for where he uses 'you', and found Kimi in a couple of campus chats. So... he uses it, just seemingly very sparingly, and as of what I could find at the moment, only with the Honour Student.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[8] In the Prologue, Chapter 13 (and probably elsewhere), Kaito uses ใใฟ. He otherwise uses omae! He also mostly uses ใใ (also seen in Ch 13) over the kanji form, so I listed that and pulled the other until I can find it. Thank you to the anon who pointed these out!
if you havent already, would it be possible for you to compose a list of all the pronouns each ghoul uses to refer to themselves as? hope im not asking too much of ya, thanksies ๐ซฐ
I can do that! I have individual honorifics posts planned, but having one list with all the first/second person pronouns specifically sounds like a good idea.
Hi! I wanted to confirm something: Kaito said Romeo suddenly started following him around 6 months ago. It's around the same time Clash occurred, right? Could this be a part of the Clash lore?
Hello!
While it's certainly possible it's connected to the Clash, as the Clash would have occurred around half a year prior (give or take a few months), I believe the reason that Romeo started trailing Kaito is due to the fact that Kaito became indebted to the casino.
In Episode 4, Chapter 10, Ritsu mentions that the casino in Sinostra opened six months ago (when Taiga became captain), which aligns with Kaito's statement in Episode 9, Chapter 5 that it has been half a year.
We also know from multiple different episodes that Romeo wants Kaito's necklace, however he is specifically asking for it for collateral to pay his debts.
So basically, we don't know for sure that it isn't related to the Clash, but it is most likely just that Kaito wasn't in debt before the casino opened and then became indebted after.
The Clash was a school-wide conflict that occurred during the previous school year at Darkwick Academy that left many of the students with trauma and fear surrounding a second Clash occurring[1].
The Clash involved all of the students and lead to the eventual dissolution of three of Darkwick's dorms: Clementia, Dionysia, and Ultio. Furthermore, the Clash changed the way in which students viewed ghouls altogether. Ed described the Clash as 'the genesis of the struggle that occurred over treatment of ghouls' [2] and Tohma notes that the Clash was not the sole reason the ghouls cannot get along, but that it was a big reason[3].
The catalyst of the actual Clash itself was the murder of an Ultio student, an incident referred to as the One-Eyed Sleeping Beauty Murder[4], though conflicts were on the rise before the murder happened. Because of this, many ghouls believe in the existence of a traitor or spy who worked to sow conflict within them[5].
The Clash resulted in student casualties, whether accidental or as a result of the conflict, as well as campus wide destruction on a large scale[6]. Following the Clash, there was an investigation to its events, recorded in a file titled 'The Clash: An Overview of Civil Affairs Instigated by Darkwick Students'. This file contains discussion of the events, disciplinary actions against general and special admissions students, and more. Ritsu is noted to have checked it out alongside an unknown second person[7].
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Notable Events
Traitor
Multiple students reference the existence of a Traitor among them. According to Taiga, the traitor is a fellow ghoul who is working to sow chaos within them[5*]. According to Tohma, the events that instigated the Clash were too precise and clean to have been coincidental, and he believes it was an outside source causing it[5**]. He and Alan worked together to look for the traitor unbeknownst to Jin until Episode 13[5***].
One Eyed Sleeping Beauty Murder
The murder of an Ultio student, allegedly by a ghoul's hand. This sparked the conversation around ghouls and ghoul treatment in Darkwick, and lead to the creation of factions that culminated in the Clash. The suspects for the murder are Alan Mido, Towa Otonashi, Edward Hart, Rui Mizuki, and Jiro Kirisaki[4].
Jiro Kirisaki's Coma
Ghoul student Jiro Kirisaki was woken up from a comatose state (caused by Eternal Slumber Syndrome[8]) just before the start of the Clash by fellow ghoul student Yuri Isami[9]. Jiro was considered a big part of the Clash, and was noted to have sent both ghouls and general students to the infirmary often[10]. Following this, and following the end of the Clash, Yuri became Jiro's full time physician as the only one capable of treating him without issue from Jiro's stigma[11].
Tohma's Transfer to Frostheim
Tohma Ishibashi, former Vice-Captain of Vagastrom, transferred to Frostheim during the Clash[12], therefore swearing loyalty to Frostheim and the other Sympathisers. However, unbeknownst to Jin, Tohma continued a positive working relationship with Alan Mido, Vagastrom's captain in order to find the traitor. The truth was later revealed in Episode 13[12*].
Yuri Isami's Transfer to Mortkranken
Around the time that Tohma transferred to Frostheim, Yuri Isami, a close friend of Jin, transferred to Mortkranken with Tohma's help[13] as a result of a 'betrayal'. Frostheim students claim that Yuri disgraced himself and blamed Jin for it. Yuri, on the other hand, claims it was Jin who betrayed him[14]. Though the nature of this betrayal is not clear, it has lead to deep-seated hatred between Frostheim and Mortkranken students, and they will go out of their way to avoid one another. Furthermore, Frostheim has funded Darkwick General, Mortkranken's perceived rival.
Zenji Kotodama's Death
Zenji Kotodama, a ghoul student in Hotarubi, was killed in a freak accident during the clash. Though the exact nature of this accident is unknown, the implication is that it was during the Clash, making him one of the two known casualties, and the only known ghoul casualty[15].
Professor Benkei's Demotion
As a result of Clementia and Ultio's conflict during the Clash, Professor Benkei was demoted from his position and turned into the Campus Store's clerk[16]. Clementia and Ultio were also dissolved following the demotion, and students were reassigned to other dorms. It is unclear exactly why the dorms were shut down, however.
Dionysia's Desertion
At some point around the Clash, three of Dionysia's ghoul students escaped from Darkwick. This lead to disciplinary action against their (presumed) advisor, Professor Nicolas[17], as well as the dissolution of the dorm, leading to the general students to be reassigned. Furthermore, their former captain[18], Elias Pratt, now works as a janitor for the school, though it is unknown if he is employed in the direct sense[19], also as a result of disciplinary action. The Institute continued their search for the missing ghouls, eventually finding them in the Prologue[20*], where they were put on trial[20**], and as of last mention, are awaiting sentencing[20**]. This incident is referred to as a desertion, and is grounds for disciplinary action.
Interpersonal Conflicts
During the clash, some ghouls or dorms were in contention with each other more than others. A very notable example is that of Jin and Alan, whose conflict was so tense that they claimed they could have killed each other[12*]. Similarly, Taiga Hoshibami and Shion Genkai are noted to be in conflict with each other[21*], with Shion destroying the Sinostra casino[21**]. Most other relationships seem to have become tense as a result of it all. Haru notes that he was surprised to see dorms on other sides of the Clash working together in the Waves of Love mission[9].
Jabberwock's General Students
While it's not exactly clear whether or not Jabberwock's lack of general students is due to the Clash or not, it can be inferred that it was a likely reason as Kaito mentions it is a recent change[28*]. In Episode 3, Haru tells Ren that the anomalies are their friends as the reason there are no general students, implying that they had hurt somebody before[32]. This goes along with a voice line from Haru where he worried that one of the anomalies had eaten the Honour Student[32*]. There is a chance it is connected to Zenji Kotodama's death, though this is not confirmed.

Aftermath
Because of the various conflicts between students, as well as due to the large-scale destruction, many interpersonal relationships became strained, and tensions between the houses rose. Furthermore, Darkwick cancelled many of the events that they would have otherwise held, including the Darkwick Gala held at the end of the year and the Laurel Crown competition[22]. While Ritsu claims in Episode 4, Chapter 6 that the Gala is the only one to remain stricken from this year, it is later said by Cornelius that the Hotarubi Star Festival was also almost cancelled[23].
Furthermore, ghoul students and their position in the academy have changed, with fears over a second Clash rising. The number of ghouls in each house is of great concern to everyone[24]. Finally, there are agents within the Institute that wish to destroy the ghouls entirely, even going so far as to make a list of those who they believe need to be eliminated[25]. Disciplinary action was taken against multiple students, and though most of the action was taken against general students, Special Admissions Students had particular focus. Of these, Taiga Hoshibami[7] and the Dionysia Ghouls[18] had the most notable files.
As for property damage, it is up to the dorms to cover the costs of the destruction, like that of Jabberwock[6*]. Clementia's damage has likely remained due to its lack of residents until the MC arrived, while Dionysia also remains in tatters. Ultio has been shut down and is now inaccessible to students[26].
Another result of the Clash and the dissolution of the three dorms is that the services previously provided by the dorms, such as exorcism and Clockwork Anomaly Creation, are no longer available. Exorcisms are still able to be done by the ex-students of Clementia but it is not as accessible as it was before[27]. However. clockwork anomalies have become a lost art[16].

Factions
Dissidents (Reformists)
Vagastrom[28*]
Hotarubi[28**]
Mortkranken[9]
Known in Japanese as 'Reformists'[31], the Dissidents of the Clash were implied to be anti-anomaly[28**], or, at the very least, did not agree with Darkwick's treatment of them and handling of them[2]. While their exact stance is still unknown, many of the known Dissidents tend to be distrustful of Darkwick and the Institute or find fault with them in multiple aspects. This includes Alan (who warns MC to be careful on campus), Subaru (who is against Darkwick's treatment of some anomalies, and distrustful of their intentions), and Yuri (who greatly dislikes Darkwick General, and distrusts them as well).
Sympathisers (Conformists)
Frostheim (Leader)[9]
Jabberwock or Dionysia[29]
Known in Japanese as 'Conformists'[31], the Sympathisers of the Clash were implied to be pro-anomaly, or at the very least, agreed with Darkwick's treatment and handing of them[2]. While their exact stance is unknown, the known members are heavily influenced by and supported by the Institute. They tend to trust both the school and the Institution at large, though they do not always adhere to Institute rules. This includes Jin (who is related to the Institute, but does not support their leadership, nor follows proper rules) and Haru (who is willing to lie about anomalous captures in order to protect them in their natural habitat).
Neutral
Obscuary[9]
Not much is known about this faction other than the fact that they stayed out of the conflict. They are on neutral terms with the other factions, and there is seemingly no issue with fraternising with them now that the Clash is over[9].
Unknown
Jabberwock or Dionysia[29]
Sinostra[29]
Ultio[30]
Clementia[30]
These dorms are not explicitly stated in game yet. There are heavy implications for all of them (see notes), but they are not confirmed. The only known information about them is that Clementia and Ultio were on opposite sides of the Clash, and therefore not neutral[16].

Not only was he the one who was called in the Prologue regarding their escape, he is also distrusted by Cornelius (Chapter 10 of the Prologue), and Hyde suggested that he could use the Dionysia kids in Episode 3. Moby also blames the Dionysia breakout on Nicolas in Episode 7, and says that he has prior history. Mortkranken is also Nicolas' only dorm, which is odd considering every other professor has been advisor to two dorms. Therefore, Nicolas likely was Dionysia's advisor before the Clash. This is also supported by the fact that the road to Mortkranken also leads to Dionysia.

[29] While it is obvious that Haru was a Sympathiser from both Episode 17, Chapter 20 and Episode 3, Chapter 17, we don't quite know if he was in Jabberwock at the time or if he was still aligned with Dionysia. Because of this, we cannot confirm for sure which one is a Sympathiser at the time, or if both of them are. Furthermore, while Haru himself is on bad terms with Vagastrom, Elias is seemingly on better terms with them, and as Dionysia's ex-captain, it seems to imply Dionysia was allied closer to the Dissidents, or at least Neutral in the Clash. This is contrasted again by Shion's fighting with Taiga and the destruction of Sinostra's casino, which implicates they're Sympathisers, given that Jin and Taiga have a contentious relationship at absolute best, which could imply Sinostra were Dissidents in the clash. This would also lend itself to Romeo and Leo's relationship being fairly open without issue, while Tohma and Alan's must remain secret.
So basically, we just don't know, but it seems most likely that Dionysia and Sinostra were dissidents, with Shion being a wildcard, and that Jabberwock were Sympathisers. But. Shrugs.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[30] As per Note 16, they were on opposite sides of the Clash, meaning they weren't neutral, but we don't know what side they were on exactly. The chances are, however, that Clementia were Dissidents while Ultio were Sympathisers due to their general purpose (with Ultio being a prison system that is upheld by the Institute). This is not confirmed, however, and we do not know what side they were actually on, just that they weren't on the same side.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
[31] The term for Sympathisers in Japanese is ไฝๅถๆดพ which roughly means a group in favour of the current system, while the term for Dissidents is ้ฉๆฐๆดพ, which roughly translates to reformists. This implies that the factions are in reference to both anomalies as a whole as well as the current regulations and systems surrounding them.

I ran out of medication last month and had to ration, but I have it once again! Part of why I struggle to make posts is that I don't know what I should be prioritising which leads me to just work on Anything Sporadically rather than focus into one thing. And so I've been slowly making progress but it is, in fact, slow. So. I would like to ask those who follow this blog on what they wish to see more.
What should I focus on right now?
Character Posts (e.g. Biographies, Affinity Chats)
Story Posts (e.g. Clash Information, Detailed Anomaly Information)
Location Posts (e.g. Dorm Information, Institute Information)
Due to the majority wanting more story posts, I'll prioritise my Clash Information post in the works and try to get that out soon. The new chapter is, presumably, going to touch on it so if I can't finish it by the new release I will delay it a couple more days to add info from it. And if it doesn't touch at all on the Clash I'll just post it when I'm finished.
Afterwards, due to character posts also getting a fairly large amount of votes, I'll prioritise some affinity chats unless people request character bios in particular. The reason I am not focusing on those at the moment is two-fold:
1. They are exceptionally detailed and long. I have a template for them all that contains information that I deem relevant to either Theory Makers (background information, relations to other characters, known actions within Darkwick, etc) or Creatives (Relationships to others, personality traits, pre-Darkwick backstory, etc).
2. I am still slowly filling in my notes with chapter numbers and more detailed notes from the first 7 episodes. When I initially started taking notes a year ago (insane!!), I had very little focus on things I consider important now, since it started as a way to liveblog my experience reading it over. I'm getting through them, it's just difficult for me at the moment, and the beginning episodes have so many chapters compared to later ones (Frostheim has 50, while every episode starting with Infectious Death Wish has 35.)

Location Posts (e.g. Dorm Information, Institute Information)
Hello! As you have noticed, I haven't made a new post in a hot second. I'm working on it! But I would like to give semi-regular updates so everyone knows where this project stands.
Currently, my tasks are as follows:
For the Blog:
Updating current posts with Episode 18 information (Timeline is the main one, though I will double check the other posts to see if they need updating. I have already updated the anomaly ID list and Mio's bio.)
Finishing up at least one character bio (currently: Towa Otonashi)
Finishing up information on the Defunct Dorms (Clementia, Ultio, and Dionysia)
Planning out other posts / thinking about what might be useful
For My Notes:
Updating the main story notes to be more detailed and include chapter numbers for ease of referencing (currently on: Episode 2)
Updating main story notes to include Episodes 17 and 18
Updating nickname lists
Updating honorific lists
Updating affinity chats
Updating campus stories
This is all taking me quite some time, so I appreciate everyone's patience. Whenever I don't have requests, I tend to prioritise things on an 'easiest to write' basis. If there's something you'd really like to see Sooner, please feel free to ask about it! I'll prioritise that instead.
That's all for now! I plan on getting some of this done tomorrow, though I work pretty much the whole day, so it'll likely be behind the scenes things as opposed to Tumblr things, because I Hate Tumblr Mobile.

An expert handyman at Darkwick Academy, Mio has been missing in action since the beginning of the story. Though he hasn't officially been shown in the story as of Episode 18, he has a running plotline with Haru Sagara throughout the current story.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Year: Unknown, likely 2nd[1]
House: Dionysia[5]
House Position: Unknown
Academic Standing: On trial / Unavailable
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Other Names: Mio [ใใช] (Taiga)
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Known Information: Much like Shion, there is very little known about Mio thus far. Each of his mentions involve handy work of some kind, whether that's fixing things like projectors[1] or Haru's robotic arm[2]. His earliest known mention comes in Chapter 10, when Haru and Romeo discuss a trial. While the subjects of who they are discussing (known only as 'they') is unknown, it can be inferred that they are discussing Mio in some capacity[3]. Similarly, any further mention of that trial or its results, including in Episode 12 and 16, are in reference to Mio.
Outside of that plot-line, Haru also mentions that Darkwick used to have an expert for repairs, but they are unable to call him anymore, and it's complicated[4]. He also adds that the Carpenter Cats are trying to fill the gap, but they're overwhelmed, especially following the Immortal Anomaly incident. This goes along with a mention from Kaito later on where he says the staff have been unable to fix the projector, likely because Mio isn't around at the moment[1]. This implies that the staff of Darkwick relies on Mio to do the handywork in some capacity. Similarly, Mio is in charge of Haru's robotic arm, as Haru mentions needing Mio to fix it multiple times, and Taiga also mentions it as well[2].
In Episode 18, it is revealed that Mio was one of the clockworkers who created Clockwork Anomalies for Dionysia. These vary in use, but the one that Mio is stated to have created is able to follow any commands it is given, has a built-in security system, and can change shape at will, amongst other things[5].
Similarly, while this is exclusive to the Japanese script of the game, Kaito's mention of Mio confirms his last name as Susuhara[1].
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Relationships:
Jabberwock
Haru Sagara: Haru relies on Mio to tune up and fix his robotic arm, and worries about his well-being outside of that. His connection to Mio outside of that is unknown though, as is Mio's connection to Dionysia and Jabberwock as a whole. Regardless, Haru seems to hold Mio in high regards, not only for his capability as a handyman but also as the mechanic for his arm.
General
Much like Haru, the staff and students of Darkwick generally seem to have relied on Mio for various handy-work around the school, as seen when Kaito mentions that the staff haven't fixed something because of Mio's status. Further, since the Campus Cats are supposedly picking up Mio's slack in repairs, it can be inferred that he was relied on for general campus needs, and not just the needs of one dorm or teacher.
Footnotes:
[1] In Episode 13, Chapter 1, Kaito is discussing a broken projector with Lucas and mentions that it hasn't been fixed likely because Mio isn't around. However, when Kaito talks, he says ็ คๅใใ (Susuhara-kun). Through this, Mio's last name is revealed (as Kaito uses last names for people in the Japanese script) and Kaito's relative position to him.
Generally, Kaito uses -san or -senpai for the 3rd year students, showcased with his usage of 'Kamurai-senpai' and 'Ishibashi-senpai' and Romeo-san. He also uses -sensei for the teachers, and is generally good at following the conventional honorific format. With this in mind, his usage of -kun implies that Mio is either a 1st year (Kaito calls Ren 'Shiranami-kun') or a 2nd year. Since Mio is missing as of the start of this school year, though, and since the 2nd and 3rd years know who he is, he cannot be a 1st year, meaning he is most likely a second year student at Darkwick. However, this is not confirmed explicitly, and it may be possible that Kaito uses more familiar honorifics for other reasons.

The fact that Mio is missing in action and the fact that this statement follows Taiga mentioning both Shion and Mio implies that they are both currently on trial. This conversation goes along with the one in Episode 10, where Haru is trying to go against Darkwick / the Institute to help, meaning that it is likely the same people that are in danger of being locked up somewhere. Given that Mio and Shion are the only names with a connection to this entire event, it is very very unlikely that they are not the topic of this conversation.

โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Year: Unknown
House: Unknown, likely Dionysia[1]
House Position: Unknown
School Status: Awaiting sentencing[2]
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Other Names: Gen [ใฒใณ] (Taiga)
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Known Information: Very little is actually known about Shion. His introduction in Episode 4 tells us that he did damage to the Sinostra casino and that Haru is responsible for paying it off as per the contract Ritsu has on file, something that Taiga is clearly unhappy to see[3], while his next mention tells us that Shion broke Haru's robotic arm, requiring Mio to fix it[4]. A phone call with Haru reveals that Taiga and Shion had a contentious relationship and fought quite a bit[5], though these are the only times Shion is explicitly mentioned by name as of Episode 17. However, through these scenes, we can also connect Shion to other key events, such as the Dionysia escape.
The first of these other events is when Romeo and Haru discuss Jabberwock and Haru's status as caretaker of the safari park. He states that 'they' are already done being interrogated by Darkwick, and that they're awaiting sentencing now, which surprises Haru as he did not know that at the time. Romeo then goes on to warn him that 'they'll rot in that place' if something isn't done soon, to which Haru says Elias'll have it all handled[6].
The next mention comes from later on in the story, when Haru talks with Taiga following the events of Episode 12. Haru first tells Taiga that he doesn't have a bone to pick with him (other than Peekaboo), and that Elias is looking into something, though the Institute is keeping it under wraps. He further states that if they (Haru and those working with him) don't make a move soon, the road is looking rocky for both him and 'them' (whoever he is trying to help). The ones mentioned are, likely, Shion and Mio[7]. Taiga asks Haru for a coin, flips it, and says that heads means 'they' make it out, and tails means everyone bites the dust. He then ignores Haru's calls for six months, culminating in the phone call that occurs in Episode 16.
Through all of this, we can infer that Shion was part of the Dionysia escape, was caught and brought back to Darkwick, and is awaiting sentencing for the escape.
Finally, Shion's name has an oceanic theme, and he is connected to both the Institute and Haru, meaning that he is one of the few candidates to be the second mermaid mentioned in the story[8]. However, he has not been explicitly stated to be the mermaid. Please see the footnote for more information.
There is also a chance that he might be a ghoul[9], though this is also not explicitly stated.
โโโโโโ โฆ โ โฆ โโโโโโ
Relationships:
Jabberwock
Haru Sagara: Shion and Haru have an odd relationship, though we can assume it is a positive one. While not much is actually stated about the two of them, Haru is the one responsible for Shion's debt to Sinostra, and Haru is the main one fighting to help Shion and the others. Further, Haru prefaces a conversation with Taiga that Haru doesn't have any bones to pick with him, which aligns with Taiga and Shion's less than stellar relationship. If Shion was part of Dionysia, this would make them dorm-mates at the very least, and familiar with each other in some way. All current mentions of Shion involve Haru in some form or another, and the survival of Shion is apparently tied to the survival of Haru as well.
Sinostra
Taiga Hoshibami: Taiga and Shion did not get along. According to Haru, the two of them would fight (presumably often given Haru's plea), and according to the compensation request, Shion was responsible for doing damage to Sinostra's casino. Whether or not this has to do with the 'entertainment rivalry' Elias discusses in Episode 16, Chapter 7 (where he mentions that the circus run by Dionysia was, at some point, as popular as the Sinostra casino in terms of student entertainment) is fully unknown.
โฆ โ โฆ
Romeo S. Lucci: Very little is known about Romeo's connection to Shion, though he seemed to be up to date on what was going on in regards to the trial, and warned Haru about what might happen to him and the others, meaning he is at the very least aware of Shion and has some sort of interest in the outcome (though whether that is out of concern for Shion or some other reason is fully unknown).
Others
Elias Pratt: Haru trusts Elias to be able to help Shion and the others, and Elias was a frequent visitor (if not a full part) of Dionysia[10], meaning that the two of them likely knew each other and had a positive relationship at the very least. Otherwise, not much is known.
Footnotes:
[1] This is mostly connecting a string of dots that have been running through the Shion Genkai thread, though it is not confirmed. The evidence for it is that Dionysia is known to have escaped (as stated in the Prologue and reiterated multiple times) and then recaptured, and they are being monitored by Darkwick in some capacity, as evidenced by Hyde asking if Nicolas could use them yet in Episode 3, Chapter 21.
Since escaping Darkwick is obviously a big no-no, it's not unreasonable to assume they would be investigated and tried by Darkwick for their violation of regulations. This is paired with the fact that Shion has connections to Haru Sagara specifically, who was former Dionysia, as well as Elias. While it is possible that Shion was affiliated with Jabberwock, it does not explain why Shion would be in trouble and require help, as it would if he was about to be locked up for violating ordinances, nor does it explain his connection to Elias, who is only affiliated through Haru. This goes along with footnote 9 and 10.

Things [have changed] since you and Shion were [going at each other]. [Don't you know] you won't [make it out if you don't help] them? [Are you] really [okay with] giving up?
(Words [inside brackets] are translated by me from the provided transcript. Words outside of the brackets are from the official English script of the chapter. Similarly, bolded JP is from the official JP script.
This is a very rough translation, so please feel free to correct it. Regardless, the word to focus on for this note is 'ใใๅใฃใฆใ' (to fight with).

[6] Episode 10, Chapter 6. You can infer this is referencing Shion (and likely Mio) due to both the phone call (Haru asks Taiga for help, basically claiming life or death) and another conversation in Episode 12 mentioned in the next footnote. These both refer to the same 'they' given the context (both are with Taiga, both mention specific people, both are from Haru, both refer to the same plot-line).

[7] Episode 12, Chapter 32.

[8] The two important mentions regarding the second mermaid are both in Episode 7. The first occurs in Chapter 39, where the existence of the second mermaid is even brought up. In this chapter, Nicolas reveals that the second mermaid is currently in the Institute's custody, and that he didn't have anything to do with the Immortal Anomaly issue.
The other important note about the mermaid comes in Chapter 41, directly after Hyde tells Haru that it was mermaid flesh that did this. Haru is immediately upset over this information, and says 'You don't mean...' before being told that it's not 'him' (whoever Haru is thinking about) and that he's fine. Haru seems relieved, but not fully. This implies that whoever Haru was thinking about is somebody who he could not personally verify was okay or not at that time, as he would have known his status already.
With this in mind, the merman must be someone the Institute is actively monitoring and someone Haru cares about but does not see daily. This leaves very few candidates, including Shion, Mio, and Elias. Shion has an ocean themed name, but Elias also has hints to the ocean / mermaids in general, meaning it is still truly unknown who the mysterious second mermaid is.

[9] This one is very involved. First of all, taking into account the fact that he escaped at all means he is very capable, as MC demonstrates in Episode 1 that it is extremely hard to run away, even outside of Darkwick itself. Furthermore, general students are regular humans, and while they are perfectly capable of putting up a fight, even more volatile ones like those in Vagastrom and Sinostra do not go against Darkwick itself, and fall in line around ghoul students specifically. If there was to be an escape of a general student, Darkwick could theoretically send the ghouls to retrieve them, or send one of the countless agents who are specialised in this, and do so with, presumably, very little worry.
However, Nicolas explicitly states in the Prologue, Chapter 10 that some amount of collateral damage is unavoidable in finding them, meaning that it will be dangerous to do so. Even if we assume they're in a dangerous location, it is still odd that it would be such an event to retrieve them.
There is also the moment in Episode 3, Chapter 21 where Hyde asks Nicolas if he can use Dionysia yet and have them take over Jabberwock's current mission, to which Nicolas says no, and adds that he could try to get Yuri and Jiro to take it over, but it would be difficult. The mission is never explicitly stated to be high-ranking or low-ranking, though the fact that neither professor is willing to just hand it off to a general student under their care (Hyde, for example, could give it to the Sinostra students if necessary, or Nicolas could give it to any other Mortkranken student) means that it is likely one they want ghouls to cover. Therefore, Dionysia is either a sole exception to this, or they have at least one ghoul student capable of taking over the mission.
Finally, though this is more of a meta-textual thing, the only students Shion has a genuine connection to are all ghouls. General students tend to avoid ghoul students, and while this is not always the case (as seen with Taiga's caretaker, among others) it is not a stretch to assume that a general student would not want to actively fight with a ghoul student as Shion is noted to have done with Taiga.

[10] Elias and Haru met when Haru was a Dionysia student, and in Episode 16, Chapter 8 Elias reveals he was a fan of Haru during his time in Dionysia. This means that Elias visited Dionysia frequently at the very least, though a final line at the end of Chapter 9 has Elias say 'Maybe we should've stayed here after all...' [ใใฏใใใฎๆใไฟบใใกใใใใใใซๆฎใในใ[...]*', implying some personal level of connection to Dionysia beyond just being a fan of it. It's unclear if the 'we' mentioned is Haru and Elias or Dionysia in general, but regardless, Elias views himself as someone who Left Dionysia in some form.
While Elias is unlikely to be Dionysia's advisor, it is possible he was part of Dionysia, whether as a former student or staff or something else. This follows a strange line from Benkei in Episode 17, Chapter 1 where MC states that she doesn't want to interrupt Elias while he's working, and Benkei is confused to hear that, and implies that Elias isn't employed in the capacity we assume he is. He is cut off by himself before he can reveal much else to us though, so please take this with a grain of salt.
