Splinter as a women and with such a motherly energy was what caught my eye about the AU in the first place, and she remains my favourite part of the whole thing!

i'm still struggling w digital art so i did a quick sketch of 2 of my favourite Donnies

ive never rlly drawn fanart before :o

the one on the left belongs to @0ddbugs and @coffinpal

and the one on the right is one of Ez's turtles @ezgurple

if u havent seen them... check em out cause idk how they do what they do but these creators have such cool art styles;

ez's turtles r so dynamic and their masks always look so distinctively shiny, i was unable to replicate the dark outlines that help them look 'dynamic' if u know what i mean.

and the redline turts look so soft - idk words or how to describe it so just check it out). love the redline designs! all the art for those comics are lovely and tang shen in that AU is perfection.

idk how ppl render art, i dont even know what it is, but i loveee the art from these creators and practice makes perfect so i guess imma keep drawing.

So what continuity is this au mainly based on?

It’s a fan iteration more than an au. We’ve written our own story and timeline. so we’ve taken inspiration from all versions but I’d say the biggest insps are the original Mirage comics, 2003 and 2012.

There is stuff that we’ve borrowed from Rise like there’s magical place equivalent to the Yokai City in Redline. We also borrowed Jennika from IDW.

Dnjdjdnnd there’s a lot we kinda think of it as our love letter to all TMNT

Although saki's affinity for long hair and the business suits makes me think it will somewhat resemble ch'rells many shredder suits

I recently got really hard into turtles stuff again after buying the neca lawson 4 pack

Yeah kinda. Shen was in the foot before she got with Yoshi and her past caught up to her.

Sorry for being so vague we plan to have it in a comic! We’ve got a lot of Shen’s backstory I can’t wait to get into eventually.
