VERSE ONE (RESISTANCE FIGHTER) āĀ Ā hope county, montana. not a native, but feels tied to the livelihood of the place where she learned to grow up and have something worth living for. (based off the beginning of her regular bio) after coming to the USA, eliza found her cousin, daniel bellucci, here ā sheās willing to protect those family ties with her life. before the project at edenās gate began, sheād work in town and out of town (sometimes going full cross-country) for gigs where she can get them, still moving toward her musician pipe dream. unfortunately, on one of the trips home, she began to see what evils were taking over her new home. she couldnāt bring herself to leave again ā instead, eliza put her mind, anger, and passion to work, and joined the resistance. sheās good with a gun and has a whole lot of gumption to boot. sheās an avid fighter in the resistance, and sticks mostly with the fighters at falls end & all over holland valley. (is even a gun for hire if youāre on the right side.) all in all, she may be an amateur with stars in her eyes, but her heart is in the right place. (in her mind, anyway.)

other important info:Ā if you read elizaās regular bio ā take it all as canon, except that her aunt/uncle/cousins just lives on the outskirts of hope county, so when she comes to america, this is her first stop.Ā /Ā she misses gigging, but canāt bring herself to go back to it while she has to help at home. spends her days singing in the shower, falling asleep with a guitar in her arms and a gun at her side, annoying whoever is in the passengerās side seat of her truck with incessant humming & tapping on the steering wheel.Ā /Ā sheās got a hard time asking for help when she needs it. good luck with that.Ā /Ā takes in every stray (animal or human) in the county.Ā /Ā is gonna be pissed as HELL if anything ever happens to her truck. CURRENTLYĀ INACTIVEĀ Ā *Ā Ā VERSE TWO (CHOSEN) āĀ Ā the story remains the same; eliza kardel arrives on the east coast of the united states to pursue music. after staying with family & ambling around the country, she finds some semblance of stability in georgia. keeps a small home, takes in every stray she can find - including a one jacob seed. with her own ties to veteranās affairs (one of her eldest cousins is a retired marine turned grief counselor), after getting to know jacob during his time recuperating & her time volunteering at a veteranās hospital, she opened her home to him. sharing a space soon becomes sharing meals, thoughts, a bed, and then two halves of the same heart. (different arcs can exist from this point onward, but in this verse...)
jacob, after being found again by his eldest brother, leaves & consequently returns to eliza - the constant that never leaves her (her unyielding dedication to & trust of jacob) brings her along with him to the blooming idea of the project at edenās gate in hope county, montana. she never quite planned on staying - but she could never leave him, either.
time passes, and through effort, dedication & manipulation, she rises in the ranks of jacobās newfound militia, becoming his right-hand soldier & chosen. she is a force to be reckoned with; after all, her allegiance appears to be to the project, to this newfound family - but her heart has always remained with jacob.

VERSE THREE (ANGEL OF SMALL DEATH) āĀ Ā joseph seed appears to her as divinely as he stands. he is the one who saw her potential; he soothed all the crumbled hope that had built itself up in elizaās chest when she first came to the country. with lackluster gigs and even lower self worth, she soon found solace in drink after drink and similar self-destructive behaviors. but he found her, he saw the light within her ā and he promised her the world.
rome, georgia soon became hope county. there were terms set forth, the promise of a new opportunity within a new life on the conditions of an entirely new life ā a cleansed body, mind and soul, new name to match ā faith seed. he told her that she deserved hymns devoted solely to her smile, she deserved the world ā so long as she upheld his word, theyād all reach eden. together. sheād accepted the name faith before sheād ever knew thereād been another. she allowed them to carve her anew so long as they kept their promises ā donāt abandon me. iāll be good, iāll do what you ask ā just love me in return. the seed brothers gave eliza what sheād been lacking her whole life; belonging, love and purpose.
some come before her, and only a few would come after ā but eliza kardel was the blueprint of true faith. empathic affection and a heart stronger than her mind ā she bespoke sunshine into the minds of whoever would listen. she'd never been the perfect picture of blind obedience; what she lacked in doubt and curiosity, she made up for with intoxicating passion & compassion. she evaluates and understands fear, soothes it with the promises of the project in her adoptive brotherās names and promises a stagnant fact ā whoever you are, she will take you, and she will love you. unconditionally. (interactions can take place before the following arc of her story, during, or after!)
it all begins to crack without warning; the influx of weapons, buying up property and training soldiers. for what? were they planning to fight the collapse? no, thatās impossible. (if god was allowing them a fresh start, why fight it? theyāre meant to be offering people protection.) they manage to convince her for some time that these things are just precautions, protections for innocent souls ā sheās blinded by love ā no, not love ā deceit and manipulation. itās all too clear, and almost too late. they took advantage of her ā replaced one addiction with themselves, hooked eliza with what she needed most and used her as a pawn in their game of war. joseph seed appears to her only as divinely as he sees himself; he took advantage of her potential, he broke and rebuilt the light within her, and he dictated her world. hopefully she can get out before she turns into another failed leap of faith. Ā Ā Ā TL;DR ā¦ eliza is taken in by the seed brothers and named adoptive sister, faith seed & herald of the project at edenās gate. she is not the siren, rather, she is known as the angel.

other important info:Ā Ā (THIS KINDA FUCKS WITH CANON TIMELINES BUTā¦ā¦. THERE ARE NO RULES HERE. WEāRE JUST HERE 2 HAVE FUN.) in canon lore, we know that there are at least 3-4 faiths that precede rachel jessop; in order of oldest to most current ā lana, a woman with black hair, a blonde named selena, and lastly, rachel jessop. i know that thereās some debate and speculation as to any overlap & just general story glitches (ex., faith originally being named selena, etc.), but iām following the idea that lana was the first known faith. when she was eliminated from the position, eliza took her place. hence, she could also be the black-haired woman that preceded selena!Ā /Ā i like to think that eliza was an integral part of earning peopleās trust in hope county; after all, she approached the ideology of the project with empathy and grace (rather than, say, the indelicacy of later forcefully buying up land. *coughs* john). she comes with jacob, joseph & john from georgia all the way to hope county ā she learns the land and the people and practices love over any obligation, and that is what primarily earns peopleās trust. as per usual, eliza is very affectionate. she analyzes and learns what will work best for whoever sheās dealing with. touch-starved? commence hand-holding and soft, lingering touches of affirmation! aversion to touch? no worries, sheāll keep her distance, but always be verbally encouraging and affirming!Ā /Ā her disenchantment with the brothers & the project begins when things start getting more violent. when peopleās choices are taken away from them & all the love, acceptance & safety that she is promising new members of the project is obviously a lie. she speaks up more and more, bit by bit, until she understands that her own safety is jeopardized by doing so. this is probably around the time that she may seek help with the resistance as a new alliance.Ā /Ā her fall from faith is not immediate by any means. after all, sheās allowed herself to be manipulated by the seeds and molded to their will for some time ā eliza is strong because she keeps her morals, but weak because she uses the seedsā supposed love to make up for her lacking self-love.Ā /Ā eliza bleeds trustworthiness and familiarity as her version of faith; she isnāt holier-than-thou or overtly ethereal. original tattoos (not entirely project-related) cover her skin, and she can usually be found in modest, clean clothing. work boots, jeans ā her appearance only becomes more manipulated and calculated as the seedsā influence grows.
