Y'all need to realize it's not Bylers and those of us critical of the coming out scene review bombing, it's literally the usual suspects especially after loser ass Musk had something to say about it. We're not responsible for backlash because we were dissatisfied with what we were given, don't catastrophize and make it seem like it's something in our power or our fault.

It's literally the same shit that happens to any piece of media that's not for straight white men. This show has always been for the general audience and those very straight white men and it's why they rage at any deviation, why the Kali episode is so loathed for no reason and this will be the same.

Move on, continue to clown the assholes and interact with media as you please. Don't let people control your relationship with media over stuff like this, support projects you believe in and keep ratings up for them but if it's crap it's crap. We've been force-fed slop for a while now and the streaming landscape has become shit, particularly Netflix.

I just can't, I want to have my full range of emotions for media without being told I have to change an opinion because the assholes have become vocal. i’m so glad i didn’t open any socials before watching volume 2 because tell me why everyone is so pissed… i never expected vol2 to already give us a kiss or a byler confirmation and frankly i don’t know why anyone else did. i found will’s arc very beautiful and his coming out scene gorgeous❤️

firstly and controversially i do agree that he needed to accept himself regardless of whether or not mike returns his feelings. That’s me saying there’s a certain order in which things needed to happen… i do still think it would be bullshit writing and bullshit storytelling if mike doesn’t turn out to reciprocate his feelings in the END but we’re not there yet. they were never going to reveal this twist before the finale and certainly not before trying to convince us first that it’s not gonna happen. what everyone needs to understand is that these writers love misleading us and simply would never reveal this size a twist yet before the finale. i would be very concerned for our preferred endgame if it looked like they Wanted us to already believe in byler and believe we had it all figured out at the end of vol 2 and we still had the ENTIRE finale to go? that would be like inviting misfortune upon it in the last minute. and like will thinking mike is his tammy doesn’t mean he IS ? whatever he thinks about mike’s feelings now is frankly irrelevant because he just needed to know he was going to be accepted and his sexuality wholeheartedly embraced, and that he wouldn’t grow apart from his loved ones, regardless of what vecna showed him. mike is still a black box, apparently we will only know what goes on in his head in volume 3, since we were told finn had important and spectacular acting performances in the later part of the season and that most of his s5 scenes were with will and yet we’ve barely seen any of them… that means vol3 is going to deliver.

secondly i’ve seen people say they hate that will was ‘forced’ to come out ‘because of fear’ but this is a weird take to me because we know ever since the moment he asked robin about the truth serum that he’s been itching for an opportunity to come out, in fact that’s why vecna chose to taunt him with a future involving a bad outcome to this specific scenario. will has been thinking about coming out and vecna chooses things that heavily occupy the mind… the idea of coming out was both close to the surface and a prospect with a very unsure outcome. vecna showed this false future to him with the purpose of discouraging will to EVER open up about this, thus forcing him to carry this secret forever, isolating him from everyone else. he tried to use will’s fear of a bad outcome as a way to freeze and immobilise will, to prevent him from coming out, and instead will said: NO! you are not going to control me like this! you will not isolate me further! i will come out to my loved ones DESPITE my fear!!!!!

literally he did not come out because of fear, he came out despite it. vecna didn’t force him to come out, if anything he tried to force him to stay in the closet forever. and will just said “No thank you. i’m done letting myself be controlled by you and i’m taking away your favourite thing to taunt me with.”

some of you guys’ reactions are really baffling to me like help i thought this was supposed to be the media literacy and critical thinking central…

anyway vol 2 was exactly as beautifully devastating as i expected

STRANGER THINGS SPOILERS

What did Will say? In that conversation with Robin about coming out. What was coming out described as for him?

A STEPPING STONE that helped give her the strength to have a romance. Even in her story, which has majorly been about acceptance in a way Will's hasn't, she described it as a step that helped her TOWARDS being with Vickie. Something she could not do until she felt comfortable admitting her queerness.

I was worried for a second when Mike interrupted them [side note: Will saying 'I have to tell you the truth' then Mike walking in made me laugh out loud] - because I thought they were gonna leave it at an interruption and do the coming out scene in the finale, as the climax of his arc, but they didn't. The climax of his arc has yet to come, and it is NEXT episode.

His coming out was described as a stepping stone to romance and they did it with time left for that.

I got worried because of the pacing but I will say that that initial speech comforted any fears I had from the previous one. Coming out was described as not the goal, but a means of it, a required checkpoint on the way to it. Then it was executed before the finale [you know, in which ultimate goals are achieved].

Guys I have a theory (and hope!)

So basically at the end of 7 everyone’s together and we see a shift and the focus starts to be on relationships, Kali and Jane, Hopper and Joyce, etc. We saw these relationships suffering when the group was split into multiple groups but when they started regrouping those relationships started to heal/reconcile (for the most part). Now that the group is working towards the same goal, the show can focus more on those relationships. Since we barely saw Mike and Will interact in volume 2, I think it would make sense that theirs is one that would need to be addressed, especially after Will coming out. There’s still things left unresolved from season 4 and even though the show makes it clear they’ve made up, over the time skip, they should still be addressed imo. Mikes feelings (his reactions during the coming out scene, I know what you are dude) need to be addressed and I think one of the best ways is to do it through Will if we don’t get his pov. So maybe there’s a heart to heart between the two of them and in that conversation Mikes feelings would need to be brought up if we aren’t getting his pov. He obviously has feelings about Wills coming out (whether that his feelings be romantic or platonic would be expressed) which might lead to a confession (aka flickergate?) along with the realization that Mike is not his Tammy.

Does this make me sound insane? Probably but I can dream!

(Edit: Also the conversation between Will and Robin in episode 5, shows that coming out was a stepping stone for her getting with Vickie. If Wills following in her footsteps wouldn’t the first step be to come out first??)

The clones are relieved from duty, a lot of them stay on Coruscant to do security work, including Rex, who becomes Senator Amidala’s security advisor. (aka gossip buddy)

Anakin either stays with the Jedi or he leaves and buys a house on Naboo and lives as a mechanic with Rex. Cody and Obi Wan do similar (they buy a farm) BUT the gang regularly gets together for sleepovers at Padmés apartment (ALSO. Sabé and Padmé have the biggest wedding in the history of Naboo)

Ahsoka stays with the order and gets a padawan, Obi wan gets Reva as his second padawan, and Anakin gains two new little sisters <3333

they sometimes have goofy missions to go on but besides that? they get to live the life and be happy 🥺🥺🥺
