Lmao I KNOW. Fandom is just not for me anymore 😔 I think Harry's has scarred me from ever joining another one lol. I liked the little community we had on here but it was overwhelmingly a negative experience for me. I'm not equipped to deal with misinformation and cruelty on a daily basis 👎🏾 But anyways I've been okay! Last year was reallyyyyyyy rough but since April/May I've been doing better! I got my board exam scores back last week and got above my goal score so that was exciting and now I'm just working on residency application stuff!

Oh people are not handling it well. Larries are in denial and saying it's for Gemma's cat or that it says some other word in a language no ones ever heard of, Harries are either making fun of him for it, saying they have the ick, using it to drag her further, or making a big joke of it and trivializing their love to just "that was some good salad dressing" or "she must've been great at sex" etc. I have seen some people actually admit that he did love her after all which is progress I guess but few and far between.

I'm assuming this is in response to my tag from a week (?) ago which was mostly a joke and this seems like it's supposed to be a drag but imo it's not a drag to enjoy sex or to be passionate about portraying female sexuality in a more accurate way than we see in 98% of media lol. I think any steps taken to deconstruct all the shame around female sexuality and to de-center male pleasure in the sex scenes we consume is a good thing. Female pleasure has always been and still continues to be taboo and it's created a culture of extreme shame around our sexual desires (esp for those of us who grew up in the church like myself). And honestly it's something most women don't even start to deconstruct until their 30s/40s bc a lot of us spend our teens/20s believing the rhetoric that women don't need/want/enjoy sex but still have to be sexually available for men. Our pleasure is so so so rarely prioritized in any form of media so we're not taught to prioritize it when we actually are intimate with a partner. That sucks! I'm not going to flame her for acknowledging that in interviews and trying to do the opposite in her film.
