Pinned Post! this is a quick intro to the blog as I realize “welcome to blog” may not be especially descriptive

main tumbling interests: linguistics, queer stuff, very entry-level philosophy, anything that makes me laugh, video games and pixel art, writing, visual art (mostly on pause due to full-time school + part-time work)

if you’re interested in the writing, my AO3 is here. I also do some poetry and short story type stuff but tend to keep that offline. might start a sideblog for art when I get back to drawing more regularly :)

I WILL occasionally reblog riverdale posts as I firmly believe it’s an unironic ironic unironic 21st century masterpiece, and art I like from a handful of other shows/books. after almost two years on here I’d like to start actually making more of my own posts too

It’s really beautiful. This is how I imagine Lelouch greeting me every day when I get home. No funny business, either. Doesn’t have to be sexual. When I’m gone I long for him all day. The time we spend together is beautiful. I wouldnt trade it for anything (other than the real thing, of course.)

I’ve told this story ten thousand times and I will tell it for the ten thousandth and first: whenever I think about wearing a costume to work on Halloween, I remember the time I saw a doctor breaking what must have been devastating news to a sobbing patient while the doc was dressed as a ketchup bottle.

This is especially frustrating because the only reason we know the wind speed is because NOAA's Hurricane Hunters literally fly into the hurricane and collect vital data. They fly in and out of the storm over and over in 8 hour shifts.

This brave team flies two identical Lockheed P3s called Kermit and Miss Piggy.

You can see the dangling ornaments in the videos to determine which plane they are in.

And when I say they fly into the hurricane, I mean they fly *into* the hurricane.

Here they are in the eye of Milton.

And here they are in the eye of Irma.

As you may notice, this flight was in Kermit.

So the next time you see live data about a hurricane's wind speed and pressure, just remember how that was collected and don't be a giant turd about it.

And please vote because conservatives want to kill NOAA.

Can you tell this dub was recorded in South Carolina, and in 1995?

Allegedly, the Japanese producers enjoyed the English dub so much (especially of Natsumi), that when they recorded the TV series, they showed the English OVA dub to the Japanese actors in order to inspire their acting.

Coastal Carolina didn’t make many English dubs, but those they did make are a treat. Besides You’re Under Arrest, I also enjoy Shinesman and Elf Princess Rane. And many of the same personnel later reformed as another company and did the dub of Miami Guns.
