I want âIn a Heartbeatâ to become a movie and I want it now.
When I first watched this short film, I was enamored by how it looked and how cute the story seemed. The designs of the characters are lovely and it looks so well done that I fell in love with the characters right away.
The way is was portrayed was so cute, the redhead in love with the raven boy, and I wonder, how did he fall in love with him? What happened for his literal heart to come alive and decide for himself to put them together?
In the video, the cute redhead, Sherwin, was looking from afar the boy who looks like someone who is very popular in school and who has good grades. We know that he is shy and doesnât want to be acknowledged by Jonathan, whatsoever. He even hides behind the tree so he doesnât look at him. His heart is literally beating so loud and hard inside his chest we can see the outlines of his heart, to the point his heart becomes alive and gets out of his chest, and thenâŚ
Chaos ensues.
Quite literally, the poor boy when he saw his heart chasing after the dude when after him, to the point he grabbed him by the hand but apparently the heart was too strong and was pulling him alongside him.
This shot was super cute, I screamed when this happened, it made me fall in love more with the short film. The way they ended up in that position was so funny and cute at the same time, I really thought something more was going to happen.
But you know why this short film captivated me so much back when it came out? Why the characters took my attention and captivated me to the point of obsession?
Itâs because they look just like two characters I used to watch in an anime and that I was equally, or more, obsessed with. The epitome of twin sets or whatever you want to call them. Or maybe it was an inspiration of sorts. Who knows. But these characters really, really looked like these other two characters.
Sherwin and Jonathan reminded me so much of these two characters, Mihashi and Abe. They are two high school students who ply baseball and the personalities of these two parallels to those of Sherwin and Jonathan.
Sherwin and Mihashi are both shy, and their behavior is always tender and become nervous as soon as they are on the spot. Their hair color is also similar and also their eye color. Sherwinâs hair is curly and looks like a fluffy, red cloud sitting on his head. Mihashiâs hair is disheveled but it looks fluffy, even tho his hair is straight they look kinda similar.
Jonathan and Abe are also the same as Sherwin and Mihashi, they share the same similarities. Jonathan has black hair and blue eyes, Abe has the same qualities. Jonathan looks like someone who is confident of his skills and intelligence, Abe is the same. Abe in the anime pushes Mihashi to be better and to stop being shy and take what he wants. To not be afraid of other people and what they think of him. Abe is also very cocky in saying that he will make Mihashi the best pitcher there is and claims him for himself, he practically says Mishahi is only going to pitch for him (possessive much).
Jonathan in the short film was the one who approach Sherwin after Sherwinâs heart made him feel humiliated and on the spot when everyone in school were looking at him weirdly. He felt shy and ran out of the school to hide somewhere. Jonathan finds him and sits next to him, just like Abe went after Mihashi when he was about to play against his former team when he was in middle school.
In the two pictures, Jonathan and Abe are the ones who had initiated the initiative first. Abe holds Mihashiâs hand to calm him down. And Jonathan gives the other half of his broken heart back to Sherwin.
The way the four of them are similar makes me so happy, I want a movie of these two to come out because they are the cutest. I want to know how he fell in love with him, I want to see how his heart will try to set him up with him and I want to see when they become when they become a couple or friends, whatever comes first.
He is always holding hands with him to calm him down. Abe, just admit you love him and want to hold his hand forever đ¤
