Gonna say it once again: It's just an adaptation as best as I could do, but it did still get copyrighted, so no posting it anywhere.

In better news I'm rewriting the entire fic into a proper AU to replace Written In Amber, but between my job and burnout, it's a bit of a workout mentally :p

It will be similar to the original book worldbuilding-wise but the plot is gonna be pretty different, and I'm adding several changes as I go to make sure it's still as good as WIA was. So, hopefully that's done by the end of the year.

Sadly yes, there was a copyright strike so it had to be taken down.

I always figured it'd be a possibility anyways, but it does kinda hurt my heart a little. Guess I got what I deserved, huh?

I'd stated multiple times that it was an adaptation of the original book, that I owned nothing of the original series, that I'd honestly taken the same plot and changed some characters, but still, copyright is copyright. I won't justify or defend myself about it, that's what it boils down to. And yes I had people being angry at me for plagiarism.

Honestly I'd just wanted to take a beloved series and make it HSR out of selfishness. Maybe I'll go back someday and write it as more of an AU style instead of taking directly from the book. I already have a few ideas about that, but it may take a long while since I have a new job I really need to focus on right now.

So, TL;DR, Yes Written In Amber has been taken down due to copyright and there may eventually be a completely new AU written based on it, but not entirely soon.

(Honestly as much as I loved that fic, I really could have done better. I will be working on that "better" version when I have time. And this one won't get copyrighted lmao)
