SPIDER-MAN actor Tom Holland has revealed he will be taking on the role of an iconic piece of British heritage now that he has finished filming his third solo Spidey movie, No Way Home.
The third and final (for now) solo Marvel Spider-Man movie, No Way Home, hits cinemas next month. The actor behind Peter Parker, Holland, only finished filming in recent weeks, but he has already turned his head to a new project - and you can watch the trailer later today.
It was announced today that Holland will be taking on the iconic British role of Percy Pig.
Yes, the confectionary swine made famous for its sweet taste, usually sold by M&S in their latest M&S Food Christmas Advert.
The advert will debut on ITVâs This Morning later today.
Speaking about playing this iconic pig, Holland said: âIâve loved Percy Pigs for as long as I can remember, and when I was asked to be his voice - his first EVER voice - it took me less than a second to say yes.â
It seems Holland did have some trouble with the pork-trayal of the character, however.
He said: âGetting the snort right was a challenge, but I hope I nailed it and you all like what you hear!
âI did consider asking for a lifetime supply of Percy Pigs but I figured Iâve got to save room for all of that amazing M&S Christmas food!â
Director of Marketing for M&S Food, Sharry Cramond, added: âThe M&S Christmas Food range this year is better than ever and who better to tell customers about our delicious Christmas food range than the national treasure and much-loved M&S icon himself, Percy Pig.â
Sharry went on: âOf course, he couldnât have just any voice, and having Tom Holland give Percy Pig his first words is about as exciting as it gets.
"Added to that the voice of the one and only Dawn French as the Christmas fairy â itâs the stuff of Christmas dreams!â

You roll your eyes and take another sip of your coffee â hearing your professor give yet another speech about how half the class has failed the most recent assignment isnât the most exciting way to to be spending your morning. You glance down at your laptop, your screen lit up with your essay feedback, and you nibble the tip of your pen as you read through it, an annoying habit you really need to kick. He has literally ripped your work apart.Â
âI think some of you just need to apply yourselves a little more and engage with the course material,â you hear him say in that monotonous tone that always makes your ears bleed on a gloomy Monday morning. âAnd that is why I will be assigning tutors.â A groan ripples across the room at his words, people muttering to their neighbour under the breath.Â
âSettle down,â Professor Aikenâs voice booms again and the upset across the room dies down. âIf youâll all please see the list Iâve pinned to the door on your way out, youâll find that youâve either been assigned a tutor or you are now going to be a tutor. Youâre free to go.â
You gather up your things, stuffing your laptop back into your bag, and in your clumsiness, accidentally slide your books off of your desk in the process. As you bend down to collect them, you find a pair of beat up converse appear beside the books and a hand reaches down to pick them up for you.Â
âThink you dropped these,â the voice is somewhat familiar but you canât quite place where youâve heard it before. Looking up, you groan at the sight of the person in front of you. Tom Holland. Of course, the class heartthrob, the local fuck boy and the last person you want to talk to right now is handing you your books as if heâs just rode in on horseback and youâre supposed to bow down at his feet. You can almost feel the death glares youâre receiving from half the girls in the room, just for breathing the same air as him. Heâs wearing a flannel shirt paired with a black leather jacket and black jeans.Â
âObviously,â you raise an eyebrow at him, why else would my books be on the floor? You might be short tempered but at least you have manners, so you bite back the sarcasm and tug your lips into a fake smile, âthanks.âÂ
âI donât see you around that much, youâre Olivia, right?â Heâs staring at you dead in the eyes as you take the books from his outstretched hand.Â
âY/N,â you correct. God, how hard is it to know the name of a girl you sit in class with every other day? âAnd I donât get out all that much.â
âOh,â his brow furrows in confusion and you give him a questioning look. âWhyâd you fail then?â
Asshole. âHow do you know I failed?âÂ
âI was sat just there,â he points to a chair in the row behind yours, three seats along, which would give him the perfect view of your laptop and your essay feedback. Great.
You huff and begin cramming your books back into your bag before you walk away, not bothering to explain why youâve failed. The truth is, you donât know why youâre failing; youâre reading all of the course material, every note, every piece of information you can find thatâll help you out. Youâre studying almost every night but somehow you just canât seem to wrap your head around the historical and cultural contexts of William Shakespeare.Â
When you reach the door, Tom is hot on your heels, leaning over your shoulder to get a good look at the list pinned to the door. You scan the bill for your name and part of you wants to scream in anger when you find it. In block capitals, you read âÂ
Y/NÂ â TOM HOLLAND
âGuess weâll be seeing a lot more of each other then darling,â a grin spreads across his face when you turn to look at him. How the hell is this asshole not failing? He spends most of his time drinking and sleeping with anything with a pulseâscratch that, anything in a short skirt and a pulseâyet heâs top of the class? Bullshit. If you didnât know better, youâd say that heâs sleeping with the professor.
You roll your eyes at him and hasten to make an exit, swinging the door open, but heâs still following you.
âSo when shall we start?â
âWeâre not going to,â you keep walking, picking up your pace.
âSeems like you donât have a choice in the matter. The way I see it, you need all the help you can get, and Iâm your saving grace.â
You snort and spin round, âplease! Have you even got time to put down your fuck buddies long enough to tutor me?â
âWhy,â his lips flick upwards into a smirk and his eyes narrow, âare you jealous? Because we can always-â
âDonât finish that sentence,â you keep walking.
âLook,â he grabs your arm and pulls you back towards him, a soft look in his brown eyes. If you werenât so cynical, youâd almost believe he really does want to help you. âYou need a tutor and Iâm not an idiot sweetheart, whereâs the harm?â
You sigh. Thereâs no way you can afford to fail this class and have to retake it next year, so you huff and draw your arms into a fold across your chest, âfine, meet me at my dorm at seven?âÂ
âSeven it is,â he grins. You exchange your phones to give each other your phone numbers and addresses, and then heâs gone.Â

At 7:15, youâre just about to text Tom to tell him to forget it when thereâs a knock at the door. Huffing, you slam your book closed, tidying up the collection that is sprawled across your bed and get up to grab the front door.
Tom walks in with a smug look on his face, crossing the hallway to your room before turning to look at you.
âWhat?â He wears a bewildered expression after seeing the frustration painted all over your features.
âI said seven, youâre late,â you start and when Tom tries to explain, you cut him off, âif youâre not going to take this seriously then the deal is off!â
âDeal, huh? That implies that I get something in return,â he smirks and you roll your eyes.
âKeep dreaming,â you close your bedroom door as Tom settles himself down on your bed, âIâm not one of those girls whoâs gonna throw herself at you for a quick fuck.â
âIs that really your only problem with me?â He raises an eyebrow at you as he picks up one of your textbooks, âthat I sleep with lots of girls?â
âOne of many.â
âGo on then, explain,â he flicks through the book, leaning back to relax into your pillows. âIf weâre going to be spending all of this time together, we may as well get to know each other. Please tell me why Iâm so disgusting to you.â
You take a deep breath, collecting your thoughts. Maybe youâve been a bit harsh and rude to him, but he hasnât exactly been a picnic to talk to either. âYouâre not disgusting, youâre just- I just donât understand how you can just sleep your way through girl after girl and not care.âÂ
âItâs just sex,â he shrugs, âwhy does it have to be such a big deal? Natural human instinct and all that,â he smirks and meets your eyes. For a second, your breath catches in your throat. If he wasnât such a cocky asshole, heâd actually be pretty cute, but you brush off the feeling and chew your lip.Â
âBecause sex is a big deal...â you perch on the edge of the bed as if youâre the guest in his room.Â
âGod, miss goody two shoes, youâre such a prude,â Tom laughs, âanyone would think youâre a virgin.â Heat flushes your cheeks and you draw your knees up to your chest in embarrassment. The smile is wiped off his face when he sees the innocence in your eyes, the way you gulp at his accusation. âOh my god, you are, arenât you?â
âNo! Iâve... done things,â you mutter and Tom raises an eyebrow at you, âIâm not a virgin!â God, you sound like a child having a tantrum, add stamping your feet to the mix and youâd be doing a spot on impersonation of a toddler.
âProve it.â Just those two words from him are enough to make you stop breathing. What on earth does he mean, prove it? Does he really expect you to just jump his bones right this second? Even if you were experienced, itâd be a little strange for you to be tearing the clothes off of a guy you literally just met.
âI d-donât-â your voice is raspy, your throat having gone so dry.Â
âIâm just kidding angel,â Tom rolls his eyes, âbut youâve proven my point. So whatâs the story? Saving yourself for marriage or something?âÂ
âLook, I just havenât gotten round to it. Iâve had boyfriends and weâve done other things but weâve just never gotten down to the actual...â You trail off. The way heâs looking at you makes you feel like a complete idiot and tears sting your eyes. When he notices, his expression softens and he leans forwards, âhey, itâs no big deal,â he reaches out and wipes a stray tear that has managed to escape away from your cheek, causing you to flinch. âIâll let it go, okay?â
âThank you,â you mumble and pull a book into your lap.Â
You both read in silence for a good half an hour, with Tom occasionally pointing out important notes for you to make. Youâre biting your lip, hardly focused on the words on the page, when Tom cuts the silence again. âI could teach you?â
âIsnât that kind of the point of-â you furrow your eyebrows and he shakes his head, cutting you off.
âNo, I mean I could teach you.â
Youâre still confused for a moment until you see the look in his eye and the realisation hits you. âYou want to teach me how to have sex?!â
âWhy not?â He shrugs, âyou know Iâm... experienced, and you obviously canât stand me so thereâs no chance of feelings getting in the way, itâd be the perfect arrangement.â
For a second, you almost consider it; he is good looking and itâs not as if youâre saving yourself for anything special. But god, itâs Tom freaking Holland, man-whore of the century. âThis is ridiculous,â you shake your head and throw your book down, âitâs time for you to go anyway.â
Tom looks down at his watch and then back up at you, âfair enough, but just think about it, yeah?â He grabs his bag and you head for the door, seeing him out before you lean back against it, gathering your shaky breaths. Are you actually considering this?
