Too many brilliant animated shorts aired once and vanished. Yuckie Duck, Pfish and Chip, Shake and Flick, Yoink of the Yukon—these weren’t just funny; they were bold, creator-driven experiments that shaped a generation of animation fans.

I’ve launched a petition to bring these forgotten gems back into the spotlight. Whether through re-airings, streaming access, or new development, these cartoons deserve a second chance.

Some endings of What A Cartoon! shorts hit harder than people realize.

Yoink of the Yukon giving clothes to the animals was pure heart.

O. Ratz & Dave D. Fly wandering into the unknown city had a bittersweet touch.

Wind-Up Wolf broken in pieces whispering “Why don’t we just order out for pizza?” was tragicomic genius.

It’s wild these didn’t become series. Imagine if CN had gone forward with any of them—we could’ve had another Courage the Cowardly Dog moment.
