how to join?

You can just message/DM me your name that you want to go with (I wrote my name as Deadpool for instance), and the date of your show and that’s it! :)

I'm kind of confused, can we still do the post it even though we are not part of emotional roadshow? Or we are not in that specific place of the date?

You can definitely keep on doing the post-its even if you’re not part of Emotional Roadshow! That’s just an additional part of the Jøurnal project. :)

TØP JØURNAL PROJECT// EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW

CARRYING THIS PRØJECT TO EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW

I got this idea when some of you told me that you’d be putting post-its around the venue/arena when you go see the boys. As you may or may not know of the FPE Project (You can find details about this amazing project here. Go check it out and sign up to become a leader for it, I did.), they assign leaders for evey show. As for TØP Jøurnal Project, we need you to put post-it(s) around the venue/arena at your show before or after the performance. This way we can reach out to even more Clique members and inform them about this project. And if you’re willing to do this, you can sign up by MESSAGING this blog YOUR NAME AND THE DATE OF YOUR SHOW.

Fear not. Here’s a brief description:

Every day, I pick up a post-it and write/draw something twenty one pilots related on it, then stick it somewhere in hopes of helping the Clique remember to stay alive and keep creating. I asked other people to join me, and many people actually did! Which is so incredible and it still makes me really happy.

HERE is the detailed information about what TØP Jøurnal Project is exactly.

What’s this EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW leg of the TØP Jøurnal Project about, then?

We’re carrying the project to the shows so that more people can hear about it and benefit from it, hopefully! We’re taking the project to the next level basically. (That rhymed. Nice)

What will I need to do/have if I were to sign up?

-Have a sticky note/post-it/piece of paper.

-Write something twenty one pilots related on it. This can be your favorite lyric, a sketch, an inside-joke, anything you’d want to put on your post-it. Don’t put swear words though that’d be hard to explain to the people that read it

-Be sure to include the hashtag #topjournal or #tøpjøurnal on your post-it.

-Stick/put this post-it(s) somewhere around the venue/arena wherever you think is appropriate while you’re waiting in line for the shøw or after the performance. On a wall, on the barricade, in the bathroom, at the gates, the merch stand… Put it on your new friend you met in line because I mean why not?

-Remember you can always make more than one and put many around the venue. That’d be so sick.

-Take a picture of your post-it(s) and post it on Twitter/Instagram and tag me!(@21journal on Twitter and @journaltop on Instagram)

-Tell the people in line about the TØP Jøurnal Project. (This is completely optional, you do not have to do it, but would best help spread the word about the project!)

I will be taking notes of the participants and write their names down in the jøurnal for each shøw like this:

What’s this TØP Jøurnal about anyway?

One very odd day I decided that on every single day of 2016, and hopefully the years following, I’ll pick up a post-it and write/draw something twenty one pilots related on it, then stick it somewhere in hopes of helping the Clique remember to stay alive and keep creating. I use an actual journal to keep track of the days and places I stick these post-its on. Like this first page of the journal:

Tyler and Josh are twenty one pilots, and so are we. We carry them along with us wherever we go. I want everyone to remember that.

And then, this project started getting attention, which I’m still very surprised and so happy about, and post-its started to appear all over the world.

What can I do to be involved in this project?

-Pick up a post-it/piece of paper/sticky note.

-Write something twenty one pilots related on it.

-Stick it somewhere you think is the most suitable place for that specific memorable piece of paper. This can be anywhere you like. On your wall, at a bus stop, on your friend’s face, on a computer, on your car, under your shoes… ANYWHERE you like.

-Take a picture of your piece of paper and post it on either Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr, and use the hashtag #tøpjøurnal or #topjournal and be sure to tag me in it so that I can write your username in the journal and retweet/post/reblog it on social media thingies.

-Pin where your post-it is from in this map so that we can keep see where all these post-its are from all over the world!

-Bam that’s it.

-If you want to do this in your own language, please do so! That’d be so sick.

Just imagine going to your local coffee shop and seeing a post-it that says, “Sick as frick”. Imagine other people seeing it and being very confused. Imagine seeing a piece of paper that says, “The sun will rise, and we will try again.” Other people reading this and getting inspired, maybe wanting to know where it is from, maybe finding out about the true twenty one pilots.

Why is it important for me to tag you in the photo of my post-it?

That way I can see and share it with everyone on social media! And because I write everyone’s usernames in the journal, every single day!

MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS PROJECT:

This project is first for you, and then others. If you decide to write a few lyrics on a piece of paper, it is first for you. The scribbles that you decide to make are for YOU, FIRST. Yes, I’d love for as many people to participate in this as possible, because I believe it’ll be more effective that way, but please never ever feel bad because you’re not able to/don’t want to put up a post-it. I just want you to remind yourself that every single day that it’s worth it. Every single day matters. I want every one of you to remember to create. I want you to stay alive, try again. I don’t want you to succeed or fail at anything, I just want you to keep trying. Do not ever feel bad because you can’t or don’t want to go outside to put up your post-it.
