Toralf's little area

This is my very own web page, and that's me. Or an image that somewhat resembles my face, anyway. To the left! It is not a "home page", or at least not mine, but let's discuss that some other time. Technically, this is also a "blog" these days, but you shouldn't expect it to be updated too often. Still, if you look further down the page, you may from time to time notice new images, photo collections, or even random pieces of text. Lizard (firfisle) - or as it turns out, more likely an eft

Seen on a path. Unfortunately, it seems to have passed on, ceased to be, expired and gone to meet his maker, and so on. I also saw many more in a similar state. Strange.

Edit: I actually asked some experts at the natural history museum about this, and according to them, it's probably not a lizard after all, but rather a newt in its "juvenile terrestrial phase", which is also known as an eft. I thought newts would have more pronounced tails, but perhaps this is something they develop later.

Apparently, they will move from their place of hibernation to a pond or similar around this time, and risk drying out in the sun on the way.

Another set with a similar setup to the last one, but this time using (negative) colour film. I've actually been struggling a bit with the colours, but that may not have anything to do with the lens.
