(Did you say Smash Border asks? Hohoho…) What are your expectations for the Galo team? (types, ranges, sure-fire attacks, number of stars (3-star Reghi ftw :D)) How many of the same old characters do you think we'll go through before we finally get Galos? Thanks ~

So half a year ago I did make a post about trigger predictions and why. Here’s the ones for Galo team:
6/5 star Wen Sou (Close) - Knowledge/Skill
6/5 star Koskero (Close/Mid) - Knowledge
4/3 star Reghi (Close) - Body
6/5 star Latarikov (Mid/Long) - Skill
7/6 star Gatorin (Close) - Body
I’d actually add 6/5 star Yomi/Aidra (Close/Mid) - Knowledge as a possible character now that Replica is a thing. How they will handle his costumes is the question, since its the Rabbit that got the accessories...
As far as surefires go, I think Koskero’s would be stupidly good (AOE attack down please? Slime trigger and all). We get copy-and-paste-jutsu for Wen Sou (probably single-target plus bleed) and saturn-rings-on-a-skewer for Lata (idk). Gatorin is the interesting one. Will his be the cannon? If so how much range does it have? And how much charge time? Maybe his 6 star version is the claws while the 7 star is a joint cannon/saturn rings attack with Lata.

The fic I wrote is probably a mashup of the Final Fantasy games I have been playing too much over these past few weeks, with a twist? It was rushed but hope you enjoy reading it!
It was about the twenty-second dead end when the samurai decided that he had enough.
“Pray remind us why we have been aimlessly wandering around for the past few hours,” he demanded.
“I’m terribly sorry!” The knight adjusted his visor for the umpteenth time while studying the map he had purchased at the town. “It says we are going the in the direction, so I think we are on the right—“
“Could you have, perchance, been tricked into buying a fake map?” interjected the samurai.
The knight gave him a surprised look, as if the thought of being swindled had never crossed his mind. The samurai never felt the urge to disembowel someone so badly.
“Um…” a head poked from the knight’s side. “I feel stronger spiritual energy here, so we are almost there… I think.” The samurai could only give the party’s healer, the conjurer, his best look of doubt.
There was a rustle nearby that made the conjurer and her companions jump. Only one of them jumped as an attack. There was a flash of steel and out dropped their fiftieth feral rabbit kill. The white-haired rogue that had been listening for danger pulled his dagger from the carcass.
“At least we aren’t going hungry if we are camping out tonight.” He joked as he made short work skinning their prey.
The samurai struggled to remember why he had agreed to tag along with this trio of human bumpkins. He had only been walking in town looking for supplies when a certain man in red had pulled him aside. Storyteller by day, information broker by night, the minstrel quickly convinced the samurai that it would be in his best interests to aid this group of novices explore the dungeon.
So far, however, he felt like the party was a downright mess. Exploration skills aside, the knight lacked technique swinging a sword and was useful as shield cover at best. The conjurer has potential, but being a pacifist she could only cast blinding and healing spells, leaving her vulnerable to ambush. The rogue was a natural at killing, but he spent so much time covering for his teammates so that the team can barely scrap out. Kindness on the battlefield can only get you killed, talent be damned.
After slaying a couple more feral rabbits and backtracking to the last fork in the road, the prospects looked a little better, if better could be described in the form of a red ogre and a black ogre barring the path ahead. They saw the group and took on a menacing stance.
“Everyone together now.” The knight stammered as he raised his shield. The conjurer weaved protective magicks around the group, while the rogue studied his opponents looking for potential weak points. Standard textbook procedure for teamwork, the samurai thought. But all the preparation in the world won’t amount to anything without experience. “Spread out! It’s going to be a big one!” he shouted.
“Huh?”
A giant fireball slammed into the knight’s shield before he could acknowledge the warning. It blew him off his feet. The conjurer hurriedly started casting a healing spell. “NO TIME! Another one is coming!” shouted the samurai. One look at the red ogre was already readying his next pitch. The party scrambled to dodge it. Fireball after fireball was thrown in succession, and they left growing patches of flame. Meanwhile the black ogre grew dark spikes on his arm and began to slow walk to the knight, who was the nearest. The wary knight could only back away slowly while facing his opponent. His armor glinted in the wake of the flames, and one could only imagine how sweaty he was on the inside.
The samurai found himself beside the rogue. “We need to take the red one out before we run out of space to run, can you handle it?”
“Sure thing.” The rogue replied. He beckoned to the conjurer, who acknowledged and raised her staff. A momentary flash sent the red ogre shrieking. His quarry blinded, the rogue made a swift dash across the area with daggers on each hand. He passed the black ogre, who tried to bat him aside with a spiked fist, and made for the red ogre’s legs. The ogre easily towered over twice his height, but that came as an advantage for the nimble fighter. First he blindsided his opponent with quick steps, anticipated the counter elbow, and let his dagger’s edge draw blood. The ogre howled in pain and swung an arm cloaked in flames, but the rogue casually sidestepped it. The rogue finished it with a dagger under the shoulder blades, and the red giant fell.
The black ogre had now reached the knight, and there was a tug-o-war as fist met shield: one intending to crush, the other to repel. The samurai rushed in with his katana and chopped down, but it barely made a dent in the rock-hard skin. “Fight back!” he shouted. The knight finally found his opportunity and pummeled his opponent with the shield. Another flash of light from the conjurer caused the black giant to step back, and that was when the knight activated his shield’s enchantments. The shield’s shape convulsed as liquid metal remodeled itself into a cleaver-like blade. “Now!” Both the samurai and the knight swung their respective weapons across the ogre, drawing an X on his chest. The ogre howled as it was brought down to the knees, and then was still. There was a moment of silence as the party members checked to see if their opponents were still alive. Then they sheathed their weapons and heaved a sigh of relief.
“That wasn’t the boss of the dungeon, was it?” the samurai panted.
“No, the boss is further ahead,” said the conjurer.
“What’s he like?”
“Huh, you didn’t hear in town? It’s quite the popular legend.” The samurai gave her another hard stare.
“Legend says a man who sung of the future was banished into this very dungeon to be left for dead. He is known as the Red Minstrel…”
The samurai froze in his tracks. Ahead, a familiar figure in red floated in the darkness, a wicked smile on his face. Eerie tendrils of light emanated from his body.
“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
GAME OVER.
Osamu put down the controller and let out a deep sigh, “well, that’s as far as we go.”
“Wow that boss was tough!” grinned Yuuma, “I want to have another go.”
“We’ve got defense duty, Kuga. Maybe next time.”
“Aww.”
They turned to Hyuse, who was busy looking through the game manual.
“What’s he doing?”
“He is probably looking for a way to beat the boss solo.”
“Is that even possible?” asked Chika, who didn’t seem fazed by the horror aspect.
“There must be a way…” Hyuse muttered under his breath while flipping through the pages.
Jin walked into the room at that moment.
“Ah, the Red Minstrel was it?” he patted Hyuse’s back. “Usami programmed the darn thing to be unbeatable, after a certain…. Yeah so tough luck there.”
“You wanna bet?” the Aftokratorian looked at him annoyed.
Jin handed over the controller. “Darn, I knew you’d say that.”
