Once upon a time, when I was young and embarrassing, I was really into Kitty and Bobby in X-Men: The Last Stand. So into it that I contacted my high school English book with that one scene of them ice skating on the fountain. They still share a small, nostalgic place in my heart, but otherwise I’m pretty indifferent.
In the more recent 616 comics, I found their relationship super awkward and forced, so I’m not really a fan there either.
Hello guys. For those who’ve been following/keeping up on my situation on being evicted–it’s gone from bad to worse. I’m close to getting a job at the Starbucks near me, and maybe a job at the grocery outlet, but unfortunately my Landlord has given me an ultimatum. The agreement was to pay 40$ a day in order to stay here while I find money to pay for the complete rent–but I haven’t been able to pay the 40$ a day for the week. So now the balance is up to 300$ and she has basically told me that I need to be out of here by tomorrow at noon if I do not pay the balance by tonight. I am in deep shit and I need help. Desperately.

pregnancy
do the parents have one child or are there twins, triplets, etc.? They have just one child at a time (but throwback to when we had the twins Nadya and Tatiana).
what do the parents name the baby(ies)? Nadya and Adara.
did the parents discuss other names, too? They probably had a million baby name websites bookmarked and had a whole list they went through and added to throughout the pregnancy, in Adara’s case at least. They already more-or-less knew Nadya would be Nadya, because they’d met a future version of her already.
how do they decide on the name(s)? They intentionally chose names related to their own background. Nadya is a Russian name, and Adara is a Hebrew name. They decided on Adara’s name by throwing names at each other and playfully trying them out in different scenarios (e.g. pretending to yell at them, pretending to give them a big inspiring speech (smh Kitty), comforting them, etc), and seeing what sounded right to them. They might have been some whining on names they disagreed on, but they wanted a unanimous decision.
what would the child have been named if they had been the opposite sex? They knew they were both going to be girls, so they didn’t really plan any boys names.
did the parents find out the sex during pregnancy or is it a surprise? They confirmed that Nadya was indeed the girl they were expecting during the pregnancy, and also found out Adara would be a girl before she was born.
were there any complications in the pregnancy? Both Nadya and Adara were conceived via Illyana’s magick, and while that was worrying and involved lots of check ups, especially with the first one, both proceeded like a normal pregnancy.
which parent carried the baby? Kitty carried Nadya and Illyana carried Adara.
how easy was it for them to conceive? Nadya was an accidental magick baby, but Adara was intentional and came after a lot of talking and Illyana seeing how great a parent she had been to Nadya when Nadya came back in time to be with them.
was the child carried to term? Yes, both were.
did the parents deliver in a hospital, at home, or somewhere else? Both were delivered in a hospital.
did the delivery go according to plan? Both Nadya and Adara were delivered naturally and pretty much according to plan, with all the complaining and belly-aching (literally and metaphorically) they expected from each other.
did the parents have any daily rituals (reading to their belly, etc.)? Illyana read to Kitty’s belly and Kitty read to Illyana’s belly. But while Illyana probably read children’s books, Kitty alternated between Harry Potter and Star Wars and scientific shit Illyana couldn’t even understand. They also gave foot rubs to each other and had nightly baths together.
do the parents have a baby shower? Heck yes, a giant party in the mansion with dumb games about guessing the size of the belly and fights about god-parent status
what about a babymoon? Nothing serious, but Illyana probably took them on usual teleported-jaunts to random places to waddle around and enjoy before the big day. They also probably heaped attention on Bo and Nadya before their younger sisters were born so they wouldn’t feel left out.
how supportive was the other parent during the pregnancy? They’re always very supportive of each other, and that didn’t change while they were pregnant, even when they suspected the other one of milking it for all it was worth (e.g. Kitty forcing Illyana to go across the globe to satisfy her cravings), they still went through with it with only minor grumbling
which parent worried the most and which one was chill? They probably worried about the same amount during the first pregnancy, about whether they were ready and if the pregnancy would go okay, but Illyana worried more when she was pregnant with Adara
which parent left pregnancy books all over the house and which didn’t touch them? Kitty bookmarked a hundred pregnancy sites and printed them for Illyana to read so they could freak out and laugh over weird shit together.

is the child a good sleeper? They were probably both average, waking Kitty and Illyana up a lot during the night with crying but always eventually going back to sleep.
how often does the child cry? They’re both generally happy kids, and as long as they’ve had their needs met and are getting attention from someone they don’t cry very often.
which parent finds it easier to get them to stop? They both excel at making stupid faces, but Kitty gets more easily frustrated when she can’t work out what’s wrong.
how does the child behave at bath time? Kitty and Illyana make an even bigger mess than they do, playing with the bubbles and squirty toys and whatever else they have in there.
what is the child’s first word? Kitty insists it was “mom” while Illyana swears it was “mama”.
how bad do the child’s diapers smell and which parent has the misfortune of changing them? They smell pretty bad, but no worse than the men’s lockerroom at the school. They take turns changing them, but Kitty probably worms her way out of it more often by pretending not to have noticed until Illyana was holding her. But Illyana gets her back for it.
which parent has a harder time adapting to their new role? Illyana worries more about how she’s doing, but Kitty had a harder time accepting that she’s a mother, especially because she always wanted time to herself away from the X-Men and never really got that either.
just how terrible are the terrible twos? There are only tantrums when Kitty abruptly decides that they’re too spoiled already and can deal without some kind of toy or treat, then Adara or Nadya, used to being spoiled, has a fit.
does the child go to day care? if they do, how old are they when they start? They don’t go to daycare.
if the child doesn’t go to day care, who says home to look after them? They spend their days wobbling after Kitty or Illyana or getting looked after by one of their many many aunts and uncles or their older sister/s.
which parent babyproofs the house? Most of the mansion is already done from all the other kids that have preceded them, but at first Kitty and Illyana laugh off all the different contraptions, but they learn their mistake and then make sure to go around and check everything regularly.
which parents designs the baby room? Kitty does most of it, even though Illyana has a lot of words to say about her taste in things.
which parent is more likely to give in to tantrums? Both of them are huge push-overs, Kitty would swear she doesn’t give in as often as Illyana though.
is the child spoiled with toys? Absolutely.
which parent does the potty training? They both do.
which parent has to take them outside to hose them down after a particularly nasty diaper? Kitty does it.
which parent do they take after more? Kitty
what habits do they pick up from their parents? Both Adara and Nadya learn to put their hands on their hips and cross their arms from Kitty, they get into trying to balance pencils on their lips because of Illyana.
how often is the parents’ date night now? They don’t really feel the need to get away because they love playing with the kids so much, but when there’s something on that isn’t child-friendly, like a sports game, they’ll go out just the two of them. They tend to spend more time staying in watching movies then going out.
who babysits when the parents go out? Anyone who’s around. More often Ororo or Piotr.

how did the parents decide what school to send the child to? or was the child home-schooled? There was no question about what school they would go to – naturally, they go to the Jean Grey School (or whatever they’re calling it by the time the kids come along), though they talk for a little while about sending them to a regular school.
who packs the lunches? Kitty and Illyana take turns.
are the lunches eaten by the child, or thrown away? They’re usually eaten, unless Kitty has gotten on a health kick and it’s full of vegetables and other nasty stuff.
which parent helps with homework? It depends on the subject, but it’s usually Kitty.
what does the report card look like? It looks damn good because both Adara and Nadya know not to show up with a bad one, and they have Kitty’s smarts anyway. They’re more likely to get bad marks for misbehaving than for their work.
is the child/ren popular, or only have a few friends? They’re probably friends with everyone in their class, the school isn’t a very big one.
does the child play a sport? They do dancing and also get into any sport that’s going on at the school.
does the child play an instrument? Not so much.
do both parents turn up to the matches/recitals? They’ll both watch them dance, and probably already be involved in the sports games.
which parent buys their clothes? or does the child pick out their own clothes? They’re definitely not letting Kitty buy their clothes as soon as they’re old enough to pick for themselves.
what’s the child’s style? Mostly pants and things they can run around in and cute shirts with Star Wars references or other sassy things on them.
is the child more interested in playing inside or outside? Both, they enjoy running around and swimming and hanging out at the beach, but Kitty wasn’t going to let her kids not get into video games, either.
how often does the child get in trouble? what do they get in trouble for? They get in trouble for talking back and talking over/correcting their classmates, but they’re more like little scolds than actual trouble.
does the child have any siblings/cousins? how well do they get along? Nadya and Adara get along very well with each other, but aren’t quite as close to Bo because of the age difference.
what pet does the child beg for? do they get it? They probably beg for a dog, but there are already so many pets at the school already it’s not super serious.
is the child shy and reserved, or outgoing and gregarious? Outgoing for sure.
does the child still take after the same parent they did as a toddler? Illyana and Kitty are both bratty af and so are their kids

what does the child want to be/do when they finish school? They both want to be X-Men despite how much Kitty and Illyana argue with them about it.
which parent does the child get along with better? They probably get on with Illyana better because Kitty is more prone to arguing with them.
is the child out all night partying and drinking with their friends, or staying in studiously doing homework? or both? Both!
how does the child go on their SATs? do they make it to the SATs? They both live up to Kitty’s genius legacy.
does the child go to prom with their friends, or a partner? They’ll go with friends if they know what’s good for them
how do the parents feel about their first boyfriend/girlfriend? Kitty gushes and coos with them over their boyfriend/girlfriends except when it’s Wanda, but Illyana is less enthused.
what are the child’s friends like? do they get along with the parents? Most of them do, yes.
what kind of music is the child into? Russian pop
how do the parents and child/ren go learning to drive? is it a disaster, or does it go fairly smoothly? Illyana doesn’t know how to drive, so Kitty teaches both of them. She tries to be inspiring and it’s not a total disaster, but it’s not all smooth-sailing either.
does the child have a casual/part time job? what is it? They volunteer when they have the time, Kitty’s trying to get them to broaden their horizons and see what other options there are beside bing an X-Man
does the child hang out with their family, or are they too ‘cool’ now? They’ll hang out occasionally, but not as much as Kitty and Illyana would like them to.
who does the child take after now? They both take after Kitty, being very dedicated to their work but also outspoken and liable to talk back to their teachers and others if they don’t get their way.

does the child make it to adulthood? They better.
does the child end up in the job/lifestyle they dreamed about? why? They both end up as X-Men, so yes.
are their any hiccups in the road? In the future Nadya is from, Kitty and Illyana both die at Allison’s election. But, in this timeline Kitty and Illyana survive and see their kids through as many hiccups in their lives as they experienced as X-Men, with dead friends and constant threats and nothing they really wanted for them.
does the child move far away from their family, or stay close? They live close to the X-Men, which are their family, and to each other.
what would the parents prefer? Kitty says she wants them to follow their heart, but really she’d prefer them to have a life away from the X-Men that she and Illyana didn’t get to have.
does the child have any significant others? any children of their own? None that are planned yet!
how do the parents feel about being or not being grandparents? They would love to be grandparents, without actually being called grandparents.
