She keeps her voice low to avoid attracting unnecessary attention towards them, but Yoshiko is practically over his shoulder already as she snatches the book out from his grasp as soon as he puts it back.

Panic becomes more evident on her face, in her voice, and in her behavior once she actually sees the damage that had been done.

“Are you fucking kidding me?! Why-” She breathes in, trying to compose herself. “What is wrong with you?”

"I ju-- I just wanted to look at it!" He speaks in a yelling whisper, face pulled into a tight grimace.

He's also in a panic as he scrambles to take it from her grip, almost comically. He's gonna have to kill her. And then all of the witnesses. Maybe not.

"Ugh, just -- Put it back! No one will know! The damn thing looks like it hasn't been touched in centuries!"
