My lucky boy š¤
Nick finally met someone who flirted back, lol.
And then, of course...
your face when you suddenly remember something you forgot to do.
Nick's became the biggest frog (and other shit he found) distributor in Henford-on-Bagley. And yes, I donāt sell anything through inventory, so almost every day he goes to the park and stands there for hours, selling everything he can.
And slowly but surely, he's building his relationship with other villagers. They even sometimes give him handouts gifts, mostly food lol. I suppose he does look like a charity case.
Would you be willing to explain your rules for house building? You said they dont appear over night, but how long does it take and how do you divide the cost?
Sounds like a fun gameplay mechanic.
Of course, no problem.
My mechanics are almost the same as in real life. For example, we can either buy a pre-built house or get some land and build our own. and when we build a house, we donāt just build one room and then keep adding another and another, right?
First, the foundation is laid according to a floor plan. In my game, this costs 3,000 simoleons for a small house, 5,000 for a medium-sized house like Nickās, and 10,000+ for a large house. Next, I put in the columns, load-bearing walls, and stairs, and then the second floor if needed. That also isnāt free and costs around the same as the foundation.
Then come the walls, and finally the roof (also not free, anywhere from 2,000 to 10,000 depending on the roofing). Only after that are the water and electricity connected, which means removing the āoff the gridā lot challenge, and that costs around 5k.
All of this is because I donāt like when my sims get rich and have nowhere to spend the money, so I add an extra cost to almost everything in my game š It makes the game harder, but for me itās more engaging since I play on a custom long-ish lifespan. Right now it looks like this. I used that black flat fence to outline the floorplan. And the door is there only because sims apparently need to knock, otherwise they canāt consider themselves guests.
Nick's got the fear of the darkness. And he's so dramatic about it.
