My name is Reo, or you may call me Trace. I use He/They pronouns. My partner is a shiny Noivern named Hibiscus, we’ve been friends since I was little. I’m currently visiting Lumiose with my boss and some other detectives.

Right now I work under Detective Cadwallader, but there’s also Detective Monroe- he’s kind of also my boss.

It’s not really important though and don’t go around prying out info about them.

tbh mine isn't aesthetic or anything either

I just go for adhd readability the best I can with the colours and spacing and stuff, and just try to keep in mind what colours look kinda nice together

as long as it's readable and conveys the information you want it to convey I'd say you're doing a good job 👍

Anyways, Hibiscus is your dragon, right? Has anyone asked how you guys met already?

Thank you for the wise advice anon, yes it seems I did get quite ahead of myself there. It’s my first time doing this in a long time I’m not used to, being in the public eye. I appreciate you taking the time to write this. Aside from… some asks- I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with this.

Ah but me and Hibiscus’s meeting! That’s quite a story- no one has asked me yet you would be the first!

Back when I was younger I actually participated in the Galar gym challenge. I had found myself with a couple other kids my age and we explored one of those ah.. what were they? Dynamax dens? Yes one of those! She was the pokemon lurking within, in such a giant form!

At the time I hadn’t even realized it until we had calmed her down and I caught her in a love ball that she was…

-but really nothing interesting! We’ve been friends ever since! She was just a little noibat back then so I’d like to claim we grew up together.

Reo practically glared at his rotom phone. Unsure why his hands kept moving. Typing cruel remarks, responding to them. Once he was practically fed up typing, he threw his phone to the side where it hovered next to him.

His hands dragged across his face in the building frustration. A pang in his mind setting off every alarm in his body. Those hands moved up, running through his hair and tugging at the fibers.

He inhaled sharply.

Breathing out quickly.

“Why would they know that?!” He winced out loud.

His ramblings were swiftly cut off by a knock just outside his office door.

“Trace? Are you alright in there?”

Altaria Mail!

A rather large and yellow Altaria settles beside you, chirping happily at the familiar face. You recognize her, Sunset, Nurse Jo's ace! She greets you with a slightly muffled set of trills and chirps, holding something within her beak that is quickly deposited into your hand.

(After her job is done, you watch as her attention is turned to Hibiscus, the pair now making happy noises at each other.)

Reo finds his hand tracing the letter over and over again. Each delicate letter his eyes danced over, while his other hand fidgeted with a loose piece of rare candy. Despite the two Pokemon happily playing off to the side, Reo found himself unable to look away from the letter.

“Oh Jordan…” he softly murmured just below his breath. His heart beat spiking in speed. The thought of the other always sent it skyrocketing.

His cheeks flushed pink as he tossed the rare candy towards Hibiscus. With his lack of attention, it bonks against her head earning a small screech of confusion from her.

Slowly he folds the letter back up, tucking it away into an internal pocket- hidden in the seams of his trench coat.

Close to his heart.

“Maybe I should bring him something next time.” He pondered on the subject, already planning his next visit to the Pokemon center it seemed.

That being said my favorite pokemon would have to be noibats and noiverns. They do hold quite a special place in my heart you see.

My dear sweet Hibiscus, she’s a shiny variety- I caught her back when I was staying in Galar. She was just a noibat back then. I found her in a den-

Ah goodness me I’m prattling on far too much- what I like about them is simply how I find them quite misunderstood. Me and Hibiscus have always had a loving relationship despite them being labeled as an “aggressive” Pokemon by many sources.

Hibiscus loves fruit and tea parties in fact!
