Rant number 2 for the night! We can't eat our young! Yes, we shouldn't sugar coat everything. There are mistakes and things that happen that need to be handled with a more stern tone. But not everything warrants chewing the new nurse out!! A new nurse should never be scared to give report to an experienced nurse. This is one of the easiest problems to fix in nursing today.

Soapbox time! There are a lot of ways to cut corners in nursing. But during a basic set of vitals is not one!! Accurate vitals are one of the easiest and most important things a nurse can do to monitor their patients! Don't rely on the RT to do YOUR work for you! Count count count!
