A porn parody of that one norse mythology story where Loki gambles his own head in a bet with a bunch of dwarves and loses, and when the dwarves are about to cut his head off to claim their prize, Loki reminds them that he bet his head, not his neck, so even if his head is their property that they can use as they please, they can't unattach it from his body.

And instead of sewing his mouth shut, the dwarves... Nay, I shan't say it. But yes, the whole gang.

This could make a whole series. A Series of Unfortunate Events Where Loki - By Pure Accident Of Course - Puts Himself Into Situations Where He Gets Fucked Again. At some point people start to suspect why such a brilliant schemer would keep making the exact same kind of mistake all over again, before it becomes obvious that this is just his fetish.

And actually, in hindsight, all his clever plots that did work were actually just incidents where he failed to get what he wanted. Which is getting to go "oh nooo, here I go getting fucked again."

I wonder what conversations they had in that cave.

I wonder if when Sigyn's arms shook and burned, when stinging sweat dripped into her eyes, if Loki sung her stories and spun her winding jokes to make her laugh.

I wonder if she sang back to him as she had to remove the bowl to empty it, if she reminded him of fields of flowers and the sun on their skin, of days without pain, and soothed him through the worst of his trembling.

I wonder if they cried together, if Loki couldn't help wrapping his fingers around his bindings, getting as close to his child as he could. I wonder if they spent hours, silent, sitting together in their grief.

I wonder if they laughed together, if they reminisced in the past and planned for the future, if they knew that this would not be forever.

I wonder if they processed anger together, if they softened together, so they knew that one day in the far future, they would be able to forgive if not forget.

The other day, in a server I'm in, someone described Loki's methods as "I'm going to break your bone again so that it heals right this time", and I've just been thinking about that a lot.

Solstice is almost here :> Been meaning to do a Loki solstice piece between doing Warhead pages and the only time I managed to find was before and after I was sick with the flu for a week.
