Our five minute introduction
This is our new five minute introduction for Transform Capital Management
At the Milken Global Conference 2013, Jean Case from the Case Foundation, Alex Friedman of UBS and others talk about the Rise in Social Capital Markets - and some of the requirements for a larger scale approach. The kind Transform is focussed on delivering.
The Deputy Director General of the UN, Jan Eliasson gives an impromptu speech at a surprise party held for him at Tallberg 2012.
Jan Eliasson, prior to taking up is role as Deputy Director General of the United Nations in 2012, had to step down from a number of NGO boards. Here, 'Star for Life' a Swedish NGO supported by Jan, and his friends who own Green Hotel in Tallberg Sweden, organised a surprise party to thank him for his support and inspiration, and to wish him luck for the important and challenging road ahead in his work for the UN. This side event was held at and attended by participants of the Tallberg Forum 2012. I was so fortunate to have my iphone ready to roll, and recorded the whole thing - including fabulous music and amazing photographs detailing the work of Star for Life. The impromptu speech by this leading diplomat and humanitarian is from the 3 minute 30 mark, followed by music and even some dancing. Enjoy and share...
Addressing the Global Sanitation Challenge through Impact Investment
Whilst attending the Partnering For Global Impact event in Lugano, Switzerland, I was able to interview the remarkable Mr Jack Sim, or Mr Toilet as he is also called. We talked in depth about the plight of the 2.6 billion people who lack access to sanitation, and how www.worldtoilet.org plans to do something about it.
