One of these rooms was meant to house royalty, but she never actually stayed in that room. Even so, it had to be very fine, all the same. One day I would like to see the Sistine Chapel. That has many paintings on the ceiling, too. But just look at all these!
I am a duck. But in this picture, I am an elderly statesman. Very proper!
Hello! I am back in the UK. There are so many places to see around here, too. Today, I am at Burghley House. It is a very fine house, with many very fine things. It's a beautiful day!
What a wonderful and meaningful journey! Now, it's time to go home. Here I am, ready to fly! I was lucky enough to get my own seat, this time. One of the air stewards even offered me a drink! My best friend says her favourite thing about travelling with me is how friendly people are to me. One of the airport security guards said I was "brilliant," and my mission of sharing my travels with people was lovely. I like being a little different, because it makes people who see the same things every day stop and smile!
What a beautiful day, coming to an end.
These are very funny looking ducks... there were many of them!
Look... do you know what these are?
We stopped to have a look around at the summer snow!
Look how high up we are! Almost level with the clouds.
This was definitely my favourite stop. ❤️
Look, I found a little cave! Still at Ridderspranget.
This place is called The Knight's Leap, where a long time ago, a knight on his horse escaped with a lady. It's very beautiful and I wanted to stay all day!
We stopped at one of the oldest Stavkirkes in Norway. That's a wooden church! The oldest graves have lichen on them and look to be from the 1700s. It's from the transitional time between the old ways and Christianity. My best friend likes the art from the old times a lot!
A little ways up the road, and we stopped again to have a look! That's not mist, but clouds!
Wow! Look what's down there! A crevasse! I'm very glad my best friend did not drop her phone. I was a little worried.
We are taking a different route on the way back. We are not in such a rush, this time. So, we can afford to stop and look at things a little bit!
Hareid is a very beautiful place. I am outside the family home. The treehouse used to be in better shape, but I think it has charm. The view from the driveway is wonderful. Beside the house flows the stream, owned by grandmother's family. It has been with her family for many generations. You can walk alongside it for miles. After the service, my best friend took some time to walk out along the trail for a while. We are not here long, sadly. I wanted to stay! But now, grandmother is home, where she belongs. That's what is most important!
