i accidentally made it a habit to face off against LH in floor 15... i started it as some sort of "ultimate faceoff" but today i finished my outthias solo with the matthias ego gift and she legit curbstomped this guy. just walked all over him. didnt even trigger a SINGLE unkillability effect because of her abnormal shield amount. insane stuff

in case anybody was curious about my gtbw progress i ended up rewriting a scene two times because i realized i got a canto 8 detail wrong (again) and it derailed the entire scene. statistically speaking i should probably reread the canto. so its going well

been seeing more soldato heng lately which makes me very happy because frankly i cant stop thinking about him

would having a heishou status require more official paperwork? are heishou even recognized in the city other than district 8? like if they went to T corp to get a watch appointed to them, would there be extra processes to go through/another box to tick to let the corp know they're a heishou?? do they need to apply for separate visas? actually how many rights do heishou even have??? we know they're not unionized (maybe the mao branch is. in addition i wonder if wei has health insurance... does h corp have health insurance?? i feel like the dealings there would be especially terrible because of the existence of life insurance + physical health being hongyuan bioengineering group's main target) but are they registered as actual workers or do they disappear on paper when they become a heishou. does an adept status affect how they're seen?? would they be blacklisted from warp trains because h corp doesnt want the heishou bolus and its users to be meddled with by another corporation???

oh and while i'm at it, i do think holding a pinky seat is CLOSELY connected to "fate". a star only rises for the person who meet the criteria.

if a servant who really wanted to finish cleaning up tiekan temple in one day came across tanglecleaver, maybe it was because their competence and grit let them uncover it beneath all the gore before anyone else did. if a rookie wayfarer corp. employee found shiomi yoru's blade lying in the corridors, maybe they could think about how circumstances beyond their control stuck them into this restrictive life they're living. if kong qiu died tomorrow; somewhere in district 19 a blade lineage member's hwando could start glowing a little differently, and if asked, they could go: "i don't know, i guess my mind has been set on learning lately."

people die, but their marks stay on the earth. even as the blades adapt and transform into completely different types, the certain je ne sais quoi that lifts seat holders into their position stays the same. cycles and such.
