TrialDirector - Tip#43
Having trouble locating a specific report? You may need to move to a different TrialDirector module to find the option you want. Print menus in TrialDirector are contextual.
TrialDirector - Tip #5
Do you want TrialDirector to give you the option of giving your clips a custom name? While in Transcript Manager, select the View menu, select Options then click on the Clip tab. Choosing the first option, will prompt TrialDirector to verify your clip name and description during the clip creation process.
TrialDirector - Tip #29
If you receive new media for your Digital Video Transcript (DVT), use the Replace button in the Multimedia Manager to retain time stamps from your original Sync Job.
TrialDirector - Tip #9
Did you know that you can re-order the columns in the Document Manager? If you click and hold on the header for the field, you should get two Red Arrows on the left side of the header. Once you have that you can drag those columns into any order you wish. Please note that there is no reset option to automatically change those columns back. You would need to do that on your own.
TrialDirector - Tip #23
Want to know how long the Transcript Clips run? You can right click on the clip and select properties to get the total run-time of that clip, or if you want a run-time of all your clips, you can do a Clip Report (Summary) from the Transcript Manager\Print to PDF menu, and at the bottom of the report, there will be a total run-time, as well as individual clip and deponent run-time breakdown.
TrialDirector - Tip #44
If you want to decrease the time it takes TrialDirector to launch, disable the check for updates feature found under View then Options. You will still receive broadcast notifications when a new version becomes available.
TrialDirector - Tip #35
If you want to combine multimedia files into a single file, place them in a “Multiplayer Workbook” then send the workbook contents to a multi-play video file. This will work for combining clips as well.
TrialDirector is simple to learn and simple to use. A 'must have' for any attorney who prefers to pay attention during trial instead of fumbling for his next exhibit
