Kamala Harris didn't make any policy concessions to Liz Cheney. The policies she shifted right on were before that and in response to the electorate as a whole - and honestly, she was probably right. Michigan is looking like one of the few states Harris might hold, so it probably wasn't Gaza that did this in. Like, I too wish Democrats had been less unconditionally supportive of Israel and had not shifted to the right on immigration, but I don't get how you go from "maybe the whole electorate is in fact way more center-right than we thought" to "actually the Dems should've run further to the left"
