trying to think about the drawings id need so i dont lock myself in a corner. having a table to lean on like monika after story is both helpful and limiting................... it does make her feel less stiff without needing a huge variety of poses but its hard to put her in locations that wouldnt require a table. and im thinking ianto should have at least 1 tourist office location and 1 home one and its just harder to need the table if its like. the bedroom or something. but also idrk how to do other poses WITHOUT a table since ianto is not particularly expressive in his arms. well i guess i can start figuring out base code anyway but yknow

yeah their sprite system is crazy cause head, body, arms, clothes, hair and expressions are different layers + theres seve ral arm poses and 2 body poses

looking through monika after story's help pages i do think a similar kind of game in another engine wouldnt be too complicated..... most complicated part might be the sprite sets tbh if i want a wide range of expressions im gonna have to figure out how to split the drawings but also make the style simple enough that future additions arent too hard for me
