Maxen: There is no rush. Why should there be when it’s an activity meant for fun?

Maxen: I do. I’ll mention it to Stephen when he gets home from the bar.

Maxen: I’ve only been to France and I spent that time with my mother in Paris. I didn’t go anywhere else while there.

Maxen: How do you feel now you’re back?

Sam: That is true.

Sam: He probably needs one also. Running a bar can't be easy.

Sam: How'd you like you Paris?

Sam: I feel great actually. Like I can conquer the world. Kidding. I do feel good though and I started back school with no hesitations. I needed that little break.

I am very proud to say that I was accepted into a professional theatre company. Hello daily fifty minute commute, it’s going to be very worth it.

Congratulations Kurt. 50-minute commute seems rough though.

Maxen: I never considered a pool app before. You've seen the way I taught boxing. It'll be similar to that. Slow and patient.

Maxen: Once I'm home then yes. Until then there is a lot taking place. It overwhelms me some days.

Maxen: What did you do during your break?

Sam: Oh yea, I forgot that you're a very patient guy. So I"m looking forward to my lessons.

Sam: Sounds like you need a vacation before it overwhelms you too much.

Sam: I did a little backpacking through Europe, that the parents that I hardly talk to paid for. Then I went to my grandparent's cabin and stayed there for a few months. Just getting my head together. It helped.

Chloe: Shut up! I've not been gone THAT long and you just saw me two minutes ago!

Chloe: U G H

Chloe: I want to be finished already.

Sam: Yea, but I miss you regardless of how longs it's been.

Sam: The finish line is around the corner. And then you can tell your professors to kiss your ass if you must.

Maxen: There are but they are easy to explain and after a few games you'll get a hang of it.

Maxen: Busy with work at the garage. During the summer months we take in a lot of business. It's about to taper off.

Maxen: You?

Sam: Okay, but fair warning, I get confused really easy when explaining things like rules. I tried to play pool on my phone- disaster!

Sam: Do you ever have time for yourself? You seem like you have an awful lot on your plate with the bar and garage. I'm impressed.

Sam: I've been busy dealing with school. Finally finding my groove. I took a bit of a break for about two semesters, but now I'm back and things are doing great.

Chloe: Hi!! Been a minute and I thought I should shoot texts to everyone. I hope all is well!

Sam: She lives!

Sam: Kidding.

Sam: How is school coming along?

Maxen: Do you want me to show you?

Maxen: Chloe is the girl you live with? She seems friendly with everyone. I'm sure he likes you. He's not one to come out and say so.

Sam: That would be great! Are there a lot of rules?

Sam: Yea, she is one of the friendliest people in Havenoaks. You're probably right. You know him best.

Sam: How have you been otherwise?

Maxen: You should. I only see good things in the future for Stephen's bar. If you like darts and pool there's a place to play those, too.

Maxen: Why? Did something happen or was said?

Sam: I never learned how to play pool. But darts sound fun.

Sam: No, it's just a feeling. Like he doens't really say hi when I see him in passing, and he very rarely has a smile on his face. He seems friendly with Chloe, so I just figured he had a problem with me. Though I can't imagine why.

I’ve been in town for a while and really haven’t done much. I don’t want to do anything drastic, but maybe something fun is in order. Just don’t know what.

If you’re looking for fun, you might want to head a couple of towns down. Otherwise we have such a basic thing for fun. Like drive in movie theater, parks, lakes, camp sites, hiking trails, if any of those are up your alley.

I’m looking into community productions. If someone wishes to join me for support or even to share some auditions, just let me know… of course we would go for differing roles.

For the past month, I’ve been looking for a new job. Maybe something that actually deals with passions I have.

Sorry about your folks. Hope the story isn’t a sad one, but can’t it imagine it being anything near cheerful if you’re not close.

Truth be told I knew I wanted to be a fireman since I was a kid. Always had a love for it. What about you. You’ve got something going on that you’ve loved since you were little?

No, not too much. It’s just the classic tale of not being good enough of for them.  Wanting to follow my dreams instead of the one they laid out for me. But the best thing they ever did, was give me and my siblings to my grandparents. 

It’s good that you are doing something you always wanted to do and are passionate about and not just in it for a paycheck. I love art. Like any type of art. I want to be a famous artist, and sell my work out of my art gallery. Or be a character designer for a big company like Marvel and DC.

Private: You’re the king of distractions! And I always need them, not because I’m worried but because I like spending lots of time with you.

Would it be better to wait? Puppies seem like the type of animal that’s good to get at any time, as long as you’re able to take care of it that is.

Private: I try to be. But I like spending time with you also. We should do something one weekend where it’s just us.

I guess it would be good to wait, or we can get one now and then we you do move, we share custody.

Maxen: Yeah. I remember when it was just that when I first went to Stephen's bar. It's gone through some changes. The addition of the kitchen helped a lot.

Maxen: We can do samples of the food if you want to try them.

Sam: Oh okay. I never been to his bar, but now since it's becoming more like a bar and grill, maybe I should visit.

Sam: And yea, sampling food works for me, as long as Stephen doesn't mind. I always get this feeling that he doesn't like me very much.
