If it’s true, it confirms all my deepest unspoken fears. That I’m not good enough, that I’m not living up to my potential. That it could’ve and should’ve been me. That my life is lost in somebody else’s shadow. It means I’ve been wrong. That I actually didn’t know anything I was so sure about.

And worst of all, if it’s true, it reminds me that my mental state is rather unhealthy. That I am illogical and unreasonable.

I don’t know how I would come back from it. If it’s true, I hope it’s over quick. How sick is that?
