It's on! After a loooong summer without something special, it looks that the surf season is warming up! Strong winds (and a rare cyclone system) hit the seas all around Greece! Clean waves, choppy waves, big, small, windy or glassy, the surf addicts from all the regions chose their destination to feel the happiness of surf. OLD GOLD MINE After a long time without post, we are back with our latest session up in the north spots. Unusual weather conditions for the greek standards at the end of June, non stop raining days, low temperatures and strong winds, made the summer to looks like autumn. Sad for most of the people, a chance to score some summer waves for us.. Unfortunately the "good" spots didn't work becauase of the strong onshore winds and we had to search for other options. Manolis and Nikos had surfed once in a more protected place somewhere southeast of mount Athos. We drove there and the conditions were much better. Was not something super but some cool waves to surf in summer suits. Until the meltemi starts to hit, cheeeers! North Aegean/ old gold mine/ 26.6.2018
April's fool day! South swell, glassy in the morning, windy in the afternoon, warm weather full of sun, friends from north Greece and Bulgaria and good vibes. April welcomed us with an ultra nice Sunday! We hope to keep going like this. Until next session..cheers! North Aegean 1.4.2018

The annual date with perfection, only the north shore can provide!
Once every year the planets line up and the conditions are perfect for all the spots in northern Greece as you can see in these eyewatering photos! Empty lineups, super glassy barrels and light offshore wind while snowing for the whole day, made this a dreamy session.
(Only 5 people were there to surf this.. that’s why there is no action photos)

When everything is on!! Last Sunday at northwest ionian coast happened something rare. If someone was there, he could surf everywhere! The reason was an anticyclone that was moving up and down in Mediteranean sea and was delivering swell from all directions. The right onshore conditions also made it happen. We started our morning patrol from the reef. Glassy, big sets, ridable waves but not the usual good angle of the spot. Second stop Lygia. The waves were better but most of the sets were close out so we decided to make the first session at Kastro. Really nice for 2-3 hours and when the swell started to go down we moved to Ammoudia! Day for hard paddlers up north! South swell, no winds, high for the season temperature, glassy waves, some really big sets and strong current from the wave energy also. Two spots was working almost perfect but you had to paddle enough to be in the right point and to turn back to the line up. A lot of people to the shore, less outside to the break... It was a nice Sunday session! See you in the next forecast. Peace!
Chocolate Session! Adriatic sea was firing with 8 beaufort from the evening of last Wednesday. We knew that huge swell will hit the Ionian coast and we couldn't loose this! We reached the place early in the mornig and the first look of the spot was completly different like the usual. Brown sea, strong and cold onshore winds and huuuge waves! We had to walk almost all the pier to find an easy way to paddle out. The first hours of the session were challenging with strong current and non stop big sets. After a couple of hours the swell started to fall and the waves shaped a little bit better. It was a nice and different day in the water, shared with good friends from all over Greece! 40N23E 2018 1st After the super session a week ago at ammoudia beach in ionian sea, now was the time for north Aegean to open the 2018 season. Windy in the morning with waist to chest high waves, glassy in the evening with smaller waves and generaly not something special about surfing, however, we had the opporunity to see our friends to talk each other and have fun arround the fire. Was not the expected swell and conditions, but between no surf and fun surf, we choose the second :) North Aegean 13-1-2018
Happy Surf Year to all !! This was our first session for 2018 a few days ago at Ammoudia beach! We reach the place early in the morning but the waves weren't there..a little bit disappointment in our faces for a while. The sea changed really fast and finally the swell came. Clean, smooth and easy waves from waist to head-high with nice wall and perfect direction. North Aegean delivers
A little bit late for the first session up north but finally was worth waiting for it. It had to be December to “open” the spot for its season. The forecast was promising for 3 days of good waves. Unfortunately the on shore winds didn’t let any spot in the area to work right. Friday and Sunday were messy with strong onshore and super strong current and only the last hour of the daylight was surfable. Saturday December 2 was the day! The wind stoped with a magic way and ultra glassy waves came to us as a gift from Poseidon :) . Fast walls, barrel sections and long rides! Five hours of pure happinnes!

Season's first Kastro session! Locals say that when the first winter waves break at kastro, the greek surf season is officialy on! So, it looks that it just started. The forcast is promising and the winter swells are on the way. Here is a mini photo report from the first winter sesion in our lovely kastro point. Here's a little something from our recent trip to Bulgaria. Most of the time we were all surfing so there was nobody there to film us. This is a compilation of some poor clips during the 4 days that our good friend NEK turned into a decent edit!
TRUTHS & RIGHTS X BLACK SEA
The time has come once again for our beloved autumn trip north of the boarders! The forecast looked super promissing so we started arranging day offs early. The waves were pumping for over 5 days in a row and we couldn't believe it! We managed to stay from wednesday to saturday and in those days we surfed great waves and had lots of fun with old and new friends! Most of the sessions were glassy with strong offshore winds at the spots north of the city of Burgas. We tried the southern spots too but unfortunately they were very exposed for this system so it was messy and blown out every day. Until next time.. Cheers!

Winds are getting stronger in western Greece and we couldn't be more happy!!
This time we had amazing sessions 3 days in a row! We arrived monday afternoon and surfed the glassy lygia until dark with friends. Tuesday looked very promising so we woke up early in the morning and searched all the spots around only to find out there was onshore winds everywhere messing up the waves. The best solution was kastrosykia where we ended up surfing with noone else in the water most of the day. The afternoon session took place in lygia again after the wind turned down with some big sets coming! On wednesday we woke up very early in the morning again hoping for a perfect glassy reef but the leftover swell wasn't strong enough.. Fortunately little bay had some good waves and pleased us with a summer session! Leaving for Larisa was another great experience since we took an old road through Pindos mountains visiting Acheloos dam and swimming in chilly rivers! We definitely consider this 3-day surf trip the best start for the winter season and we hope we have many of them for the days coming!
