VISIONS WEST CONTEMPORARY: Current Exhibit: Beau Carey’s recent work Basin and Range

Beau Carey is a landscape and en plein air painter based in New Mexico. The work in Basin and Range look at landscapes as a series of repeated journeys. Each is made of the same mountain ranges repeated and flipped. Carey’s work becomes defined by time; painted with different light, from different angles, some with suns and moons shown in varying states of rising and setting. His work explores and subverts the typical traditions of Western landscape art. Finding new ways to paint landscapes of the West, while recognizing the history of globalism and the new environmental dangers these landscapes face today. Inspired by John McPhee’s geological travel novel by the same name, Carey’s Basin and Range becomes a beautiful journey through time depicting a new perspective on the landscapes of the West.

Our culture is very important to us and we’ve worked really hard over the last twenty years to cultivate that.  At the core, we are a family-focused company. Not only do we work together as a team and help each other but we also help the community in which we serve.

Slifer Denver has deep roots in downtown Denver and also in the growth of downtown Denver. We are a sister company to East West Partners was the master developer of the Riverfront Park neighborhood and were co-master developer at the Union Station neighborhood.

We are opening a new office in our brand new condo building - The Coloradan.  It’s on the ground floor and was intentionally designed to be open and approachable which really reflects our brand.

We love dogs!  Each month we participate in volunteer events, and we've recently partnered with Underdogs Animal Shelter which gives the forgotten, the misunderstood, and the dogs that get picked last (or don’t get picked at all) the opportunity to beat their odds.
