Usually went I end a shift, I tell customers in my section that I’m done and that there will be other servers helping them so they won’t look around looking for me. The best feeling is when the customers say “aww...” or “what??” because they don’t want me to go. There was one table I served that I told I had to leave as I was finishing my shift. They told me to wait a minute as they pulled out their bags. At first I thought they wanted me to take a picture for them on their phones but they actually wanted to tip me because they liked my service. I kindly declined because i’m not allowed to take personal tips but I told them that I appreciated the gesture and left. That moment made my night. It’s these moments where the tired feelings and stress go away. It’s these moments where I want to work harder and serve people better.
